I'm one of those burnouts that could no longer feel asmr until I found this channel. The videos have helped me relax and drift off into a peaceful sleep. Thank you!😊
This is a special kind of niche video that I've been searching for for a long time. Not only that, but your entire channel brings life to history in a very relaxing manner. What you're doing is brilliant, and I'm surprised you don't have a bigger following. I would love to see something similar to the letter writing videos, but onboard one of the tall ships that have been replicated across the world. In the setting of the captain's cabin. The situation being something like a Merchant captain writing in the ship's account book, making changes to the roster of his crew. Overall paperwork responsibilities a Merchantman would be subject to. You've gotten a subscription from me 100%, there's no other historical ASMR like this. Keep it up.
Hi! Thank you for the kind words and that great suggestion. My wife and I have been thinking of how to make our small studio look like a captain’s cabin. I think we can pull that off.
Hi Dean, We just published a new video based on your suggestion. It's our newest one. Here is the link. Thank you!!! ua-cam.com/video/egrgu-rHq0Y/v-deo.html
I have watched this video like ten times never seen the end always fall asleep. I would love to see more gun cleaning videos from the 18th century. Keep up the great work!!
Just subscribed! So glad the algorithm recommended you! You'll blow up in no time! Could we please get a paleontologist ASMR video of you using a chisel and brush on rocks to unearth dinosaur fossils?
I was curious about what other asmrs are there and found this video and I’m still very surprised it’s not gotten more views, this is amazing with sound and quality, keep up the great work!
Personally I like the video too, though if I had to guess, it might be because even though it is very high quality, there aren’t a lot of sounds happening.
Man what a high quality video, this is just cool as a normal video never mind the ASMR aspect. As a gun guy I love that you are actually cleaning the gun. The fire, the candles, the outfit 10/10. No idea how you don't have hundreds of thousands of views, but nonetheless impressive.
Thank you! I have quite a few reproduction guns in my collection. I have another video of taking apart one of my black powder cap and ball pistols. About the candles. I actually make them, hand dipped with larger wicks for a larger flame on camera.
@@JakeHellbach Very nice! I just recently bought a reproduction harpers ferry pistol (percussion) and I love it. Black powder is an awesome hobby really connects to history. And the candles definitely are impressive, looking forward to future videos.
funny, this is the only video I can find on the disassembly of the same model I have, thanks!
What? Really? That’s awesome!
Virginia is a pretty neat place to get muskets, 3 lb cannon rounds. And a flint lock pistol
I agree, I visited Virginia years ago. Beautiful place.
@@JakeHellbach nice! Since im not old enough to have a registered firearm, I have this toy everyday musket in my wall
With firecracker rounds!
The fire sounds really added a lot of nice sound, and as a big gun guy, I love this
Thanks! Me too, I had to use a few in my collection to do a couple videos.
that's a relatively small gun just fyi
@@yesto3rrishuman yep, for the day it certainly was 😄

Love the harpers ferry design. Yes, BP is a great hobby. I've been shooting with my BP guns since the 80's (Yes, I'm old)
This is awesome
Thank you!
Is there a risk, for example, of an explosion if an old flintlock weapon is used?
Not at all. They are used all the time. Like any firearm, you have to be careful.
@@JakeHellbach tnx
You'd just need to get the gun checked out by a gunsmith. If it's fine, 200 year old guns are perfectly safe.
Ahhh… ye olde toothbrush! Cool video though.
Funny how people fixate on one thing to call out in a video. Always wonder why.
@@JakeHellbachsorry if I offended you, that was not the intention.
Did People wear wigs during that time?
Formally yes, Not all or not working people in their homes.
