Tbh I have an odd theory about some of the more weird Atlas videos. Atlas as in Globe, as in World. So many characters that look the same and end up in weird fates. I'm going to assume he's just the consciousness of the planet.
I’m starting to feel like all these men that we meet on trains, planes and in pubs is all just the same guy. Like it’s this time-travelling sight-seer or even a figment of our own imagination! Love it!
This video had such a lovely "accidental date" vibe. I couldn't look away from the screen. It was delightful to listen to the man with a red umbrella. Too bad the ending was so abrupt... but now the umbrella is going to bring us the memories of a great evening.
Same here! The passionate discussion of personal interests, the light self-deprecation (the "I'm going to look bad if this turns out to be wrong" bit), the personal stories - completely felt like a date. Like I know it was an asmr roleplay but I was like "Is he gonna give me his number after all this?"
This makes my dream of meeting strangers and having a whole conversation come true. But that would involve being in a situation alone in real life to meet such a stranger. Feels so real with the conversations and the background, awesome job Atlas!
People don't understand how rare that actually is. You can't just have a conversation with someone, everyone is always so put off by random conversation from strangers and that affects other people aswell, making them too anxious to do so out of fear of being judged. It's always seen as awkward to talk to someone im public.

The stories that umbrella could tell of the people it has met and the conversation it has been apart of... Like an endless cycle of people leaving the umbrella for the next interesting person they meet.
and then the audience takes the umbrella. the audience returns the following week hoping to see atlas again, but after four or five years they might just give up and leave the umbrella there too.
From my perspective, I'm having a delightful conversation. From my roommate's perspective, I'm alone in my room talking to myself and laughing like a maniac lol. Yet another wonderful video! I enjoy your content so very much! :D
The: 'Talking to myself and laughing like a maniac.' is honestly too releatable. Sometimes I become the Joker and laugh like a psychopath (don't worry, I'm not one, YET.)
The ending actually broke my heart. Atlas in every video you make a very relaxing environment, you draw us in and just as we are completely enthralled you find a way to wreck us or at least me. I want the end of the storyyyy and the quizz 😫

When I try to have a conversation with someone in my family, they think I talk to much, yet I only said a few sentences. I wanna have friend that likes to take a drink ( no alcohol for me, since I’m 16) and have conversations that can go on for hours.
Favorite book of the Harry Potter series: Was a huge fan of Goblet of Fire because it really started to kick off with the fear and suspense but also with all the magical beings being introduced: dragons, mermaids, veela, house elves, death eaters, it was all packed with the fun stuff. I do also have a weak spot for Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone. The introduction to magic, that wondrous childlike feeling of being introduced to a whimsical world of wizards, the holidays, it just gives off the best feeling.
"I have to go mum...I mean my beloved partner", cracked me up! 🤣 Another awesome and mysterious character to add to your library buddy! 🤩😊. I absolutely loved this! 💙

This was lovely! I loved the cozy atmosphere; we don’t really have pubs in the US, but I have missed people-watching at cafes and coffee shops. Very clever to have the staff crossing over the shot from time to time. I admit I had to look up what a lock-in was! And the conversation was very natural; I really enjoyed getting to know this lovely stranger. The ending made me a bit sad, actually, but it is a nice idea that the red umbrella may get passed on every time someone meets a person they love talking to. 😊

Using the waiter walking by in the beginning as a way to cut without it being unnatural is absolutely genius Atlas

I'm writing a film, I was listening to this trying to get over writer's block. When he said "oh you're not looking at me" I had spaced out and was staring into the background. He even looked back where I was staring and I was genuinely guilty for a second lol
You could do a whole series of these named ”The Man…” I love everyone of these videos, they are so unique and you do them so well! Your character is always so likeable and incredibly soothing to listen to. Hopefully he doesn’t get hit by a car on his way out later 😅
