Young Band Series - Grade 2
Looking for an alternative to the same old American style march for festival? The Red Cape may be your answer. It is written in a Spanish style reminiscent of some of the classic Spanish marches like Amparita Roco, but it is within the technical limitations of young bands. Composer James Meredith draws on his many years of being a band director to give us something fresh and different for your next contest or festival warm-up march.

0:16 clarinet part is everything❤

Betzaida Uraga TRUMPET IS BETTER THAN CLARINET, not that I'm hating that is because it's my opinion not yours
sanaclause what do you play anyways
Fire Wolfie flute (:
Our clarinets apparently can't play at even normal volume
Played this my 7th grade year. I'm going into 10th as first chair flute and section leader as someone fresh out of freshman year. This song is still one of my all time favorites
I’m playing it for assessment
As a flute, you are not heard much in this song but I love the feeling of all the band coming together and playing in sync. Not just this song but every one we do! It just feels so amazing. That’s the reason I’m in band. The feeling is just incredible
I agree, the feeling of all of band performing all together is just awesome. It brings a smile to my face whenever I hear band.😊❤

The contrast between those two instruments is like comparing the colors white and black
It’s very drastic
@@themysticpyro5671 this was 3 years ago, and I’m in the Army now. I bought a tuba as soon as I got to my duty station. I know you didn’t ask, I just thought it might be interesting 😂
