• How To Install Rough C...
This Is My 3rd Kit I've GotFrom Them. This One Went On My 2001 Chevy Silverado. In this video I will show what comes in the box . Also my stock hight, the hight right after install and also 3 months/10,000 miles later.
I also will show you my old stuff and an all around review!!! - Авто та транспорт
Stickers= important
I just bought this for myself also!!!
most defiantly! lol
In the beginning you clipped a wire holdin your shocjs was that just to hold back tension
How much does it lift the truck front and back
How much do you pay for the lift kit thanks for your help
Which 1 is this the 1.5 or 2.5?
Nice vid, Nice truck too! alright educate me a bit, what role do torsion keys play? can they only be used in a leveling kit or can they be used as well in a lift kit?
Man to be honest im just an average do it your Selfer...so I just try to do it my self instead of paying a shop.. with that being said I've installed lift kits and they came with bigger torsion keys. I do know if you have a stock truck you can crank the keys and it will raise the front end up but the ride will be rough.
Great video. Question would I really need to put the blocks on my rear if my Silverado has air bags already? Thank you 👍
you don't eat to rely just on your bags in my opinion the blocks will take some of the stress of your bags and if you tow a load you can apply more air to level them out. that is just my opinion I would call a local 4x4 shop and just ask.
@@tejaysreviews Thank you for getting back to me 👍👍
When you put on the new keys did you crank them all the way up or leave them about in the middle?
I put them back at the same as they was at factory. so I just measured the bolt and took off keys and put bolt the same postion
How is the wear on your front top and bottom control arms?? Are u going thru ball joints ??
no I haven't had to replace them
Any update on how this has handled? Any noticeable wear and tear on your front end?
no it’s completely fine and I use it to plow snow
Nice lookin rig. Are the rear blocks 2” or 3”?
Thanks Man! They Are 3 Inch Rear Blocks
What If i only want to level the front to match rear, do i need to instal the rear blocks?
I want the same the rear blocks stuck it up a lot! Gonna do stock blocks and hopefully it’s level then.
Could you replace the rear shocks and keep the stock block?
yes, the channel LMFSCREW did it in their video !
Do you have to get new shocks?
I don't think so but Its a good idea. I think you have to get new ones if you go any more than a leveling kit tho cuz the shock won't be the right size
How does it effect towing? Does it squat more when it has a heavy load?
better than stock
It rides on the overload leaf when unloaded. Rear squats and lifts front. The rear springs are weak. I suggest replacing with 1,900lb springs.
Yes, anytime you lift the front it adds load to the rear. Add payload in the bed or tow weight and the rear squats.
@@bigtrucklittlerv7969 where can you find the springs? any suggestions i tow on the daily and might as well beef the truck i just bought up since in using it to tow now
@@elspaceshipcuh General Spring has them $129.99ea.
do you think you could fit 35s?
if you trim the hell out every thing. fenders nor cal mod and bumper.... but i wouldn't... I can run 33's all day tho
@@tejaysreviewshey man. Getting this kit and want to keep my stock wheels like you, but needing new tires bad. You think I could go with 33x12.5? Hard to find anything online with stock wheels to compare
@@johnb1116 Yes 33x12.50 will be fine with stock wheels and this kit. I’ve installed this kit on many trucks and 35x12.50 fit easily with very minor plastic trimming on the bumper. If I have the time I usually take the front bumper off and space it up to make the bumper gap tighter and I can get away with not trimming anything. Believe it or not 37s will fit with no metal trimming either, they do hit the torsion bars at about 3/4 turn radius though
@@johnb1116 I run 33 x 12.50s on stock wheels and stock suspension. No trimming and no rubbing even at full lock. Just got this leveling kit for my truck and putting it on soon. Gonna go with some spacers to get a little more aggressive stance. Current wheels have a 31mm offset but with the 12.50s it just comes flush with the outer most part of the fender. I like the way 305s on thinner wheels looks but want a good inch or 2 of tire outside the fenders. Should fit under the leveling kit fine with maybe some minor plastic trimming.
Dam rear leaf springs suck on these. Your riding on the overload if you hauled what you say. 1,500lb. springs in rear stock. 22-1567 is what you need. Not blocks
Man I really haven’t had any issues I pulled a 4,000 lbs camper with A weight distribution hitch from va to Florida there an back right after I put that kit on and it was fine hell I just bought a 2016 f250 SD and that thing is trash as of right now as far as hauling I tow a lawn mower and it look my truck has a Carolina squat I’ll make some videos of me fixing that
@@tejaysreviews Look at your spring, they're bending backwards. Center leaf will break soon... TSB was issued for these.
Exactly what I see. Won't be long till these fail. For what it's worth to you as you lift the front you add weight to the rear springs making them less able to handle any loads. Think and research what we say.
This makes no sense the torsion bar thing is the same exact size why replace is it's nothing different. Please explain.
The new keys have a different angle
The 2 torsion keys are exactly the same and they barely lift your truck I just don't understand it. Why not do a 8" lift or 10" lift
its different it chances the angle and you can screw that bolt in to lift it more. this is a leveling kit so it makes the truck sit level and slows for you to fit a 33' inch tire. as far as the lift I have a f250 with a 12 inch lift on 40's and trust me you don't want to work in in every day this truck is just an old work truck I'm not about to lift that high lol
