Scrapman, if you put a camera block on a missile you can figure out a way to launch it from some sort of silo with logic parts, maybe you could do this again but make a SAM site with multiple missiles with controls and camera blocks guided by the SPAA vehicle or SAM site? With this idea, you could do some sort of objective to stop the plane from bombing a series of areas or an SPAA vs Close Air Support battle! If it goes well, you could also do a cruise missile ship battle or Sea vs Land with Javelin style up and down missiles, or figuring out to shoot a guided barrage! If you want to know what I'm talking about, check out "HELIOS 'Javelin' RC-Guided Missile Cruiser" by Sareth on the workshop! Either way, keep up the awesome content!

If you do another one like this, add a ~3 second delay to the explosives, use a lot of them, and have them more towards the back of the missile. It'll make it harder to land an explosive hit, but far more destructive when it works. The 3 second delay makes it more of a challenge for the missile. Once they activate the explosives, they have to commit to the strike. Moving the explosives towards the back changes the strategy for aiming when using physical vs explosive attacks. More importantly, it moves the explosives away from the physical contact point of the nose.
My list of ideas: 1. First person view only 2. Missiles must launch from the ground each time. No mid-air repairs 3. Faster planes, and missiles 4. Missiles are 'fired and controlled from ground stations, and can use a camera on the missile for control. 5. Make a 2 seat cargo plane with a gunner 6. Along those lines you can make the missiles try to defeat a base with anti-air cannons
Idea for 4 players. Every team builds missle like that and a plane to attach the missle. Then You perform ''dogfight'' using only these missles and lets see who kills the opposite team faster.
Your shielding panels added aero. Tip: if you cant cover a stabiliser (the pointy one) lay a 2x1 shield piece in front of it, to improve its aero stats.
I think a base defense could be fun. one player has a defensive turret on a circular rail around a building and the others have bombers to take out the building.
That was fun. What about ground vehicles? Tanks with AA, fast cars with no guns, hovercraft, etc. Boats? Same deal, speedboats with no guns, gunships with aa, etc. Maybe instead of making another missile, you all make 1 missile together and then each build their own vehicle to run away or shoot back? Controllable torpedo against subs or ships? Space missiles but you can't use drag blocks?
Hey Scrap, here's a crazy idea: Try a Supersonic Jet dogfight with the requirement being your plane should be able to break the sound barrier 👍🏻 And for a follow up, try a Supersonic missile version too!
Imagine a missile creating a sonic boom while charging towards the plane! Unless the plane is very large or durable, the collision from the momentum would be an instant takedown🤣👍🏻
shame the guy you got the idea from didn't join you, could have made for an interesting challenge with somebody who's already got human missile experience
@Greg1096 it's not the issue that they are moving fast, but the issue is that it is really hard to aim at something in a debris feel as well. I can't help but enjoy the atmosphere more.

Hey scrapman, a cool video idea just popped into my head while playing trailmakers today. This would kinda work like battlebots evolution, however it has its own twist. This would be construction machines evolution. Basically instead of regular power core rules, this game would have “abilities”. In the first round, everyone can have only one ability, in the second round everyone can have only two abilities, this goes on Untill round five where anyone can have any ability to create utter chaos (except for the last ability, “extra car”, that would be OP) Some “abilities” include: Car Jack: Four gyro stabilizers that will turn the vehicle right side up when a key is held no matter how stuck the vehicle is. Crane: a crane with a magnet on the end, can be used to troll or hurt or even immobilize other players. You can also pick up exploding barrels with this and use them as a weapon. Bulldozer head: a reinforced plate that can be pushed at -10.00 speeds using pistons to damage players. Also acts as armour. Backhoe: a crane that can only go up and down at high speeds to damage players. Concrete Wall Layer: self explanatory. Metal Box Cannon: self explanatory. Fire hose: it’s just a snowball cannon. Mine layer: nine detachable pieces of dynamite for maximum damage. Overdrive: up to four dragon engines that do not count towards the power core limit (every round you earn one more power core to spend on engines) Turn assist: a gyro that can be set to whatever turning speed the user desires. Mounted turret: four small cannons that have no auto aim on top of an aiming device (like a few large hinges on a rotating servo) Extra car: you can revive once per round. If you can think of anything else that is fair for the game, then use it. Just a few more things: “abilities” do not count towards the power core limit, that is only for engines. You start with two power cores, you start with five minutes for your original design and get two minutes of building time between each round. I think that is all, I hope you consider my convoluted idea.
Don't know if this was done before, but I would suggest doing ground-based missiles -- basically detachable dynamite cars that automatically drive forward (and hopefully into your enemies).
A modified version of this: 2v2 1 building a somewhat weak against explosions plane, 1 building the missile as the only weapon. Attach 2 missiles and all controls for the plane to one of the missiles. Win Condition: Make the other teams plane hit the ground or water. That means the plane should still be reasonably well flying without anyone controlling it, though things like gyros that may make the plane able to fly indefinitely should be disabled once all controlling missiles are disconnected. if after both teams exploded both planes still look like they will keep flying indefinitely, the round is a tie. If after a direct hit the plane is still able to fly indefinitely with no controller, maybe add some dynamites to the planes so that hits will actually be able to take out a plane.
For a missile oriented game mode, an idea I have is a base defense game. One player controls a turret and tries to shoot the enemy missiles out of the sky, while the players controlling the missiles try to take out objectives around the turret. These objectives could be anything since they are just targets for the missiles to hit. The turret is not to be targeted by the missiles, and it is a game where the turret tries to prevent the objectives from being destroyed for as long as possible.
I feel like for this one, you could do a part 2 where each person has to build a plane that is capable of dodging or surviving the missiles. Since even the overpowered plane performed poorly, you could have little to no limitations for once other than perhaps max speed. It could be rather interesting as you would have to balance or focus on agility, offense, or defense in order to survive.
Here's a suggestion: Torpedoes vs Hovercraft One Team is a pair of torpedoes which need to take down the Hovercraft. It would be over open ocean, so the torpedoes would have a large place to maneuver but would have to jump out of the water to hit the Hovercraft. The Hovercraft would also need to maintain speed over the water to not sink. Have a wonderful day.
I say yes to this concept. Much faster vehicles means much harder targets rather than the sluggish bombers, with I'll equipped aviators. Tip: If the target is behind you at 4 o'clock high, you turn left and try to fly close to a structure and hide near it, but not hugging it, this might allow better dodging.
Do the same thing but with only 6 power cores for thrust, and no yaw. You have to use pitch and roll. Also, remove the explosives and replace them with 4 anchor pins. The plane also gets an emp
amazing build my dude, if you can [dont force yourself or do it if its too much work], having the mech tilt forward when walking/running would probably improve the grip/force on the ground, and it'll look great!!! Also EPIC BUILD BRO, LIKE HOOOLY
Maybe try doing this challenge again, but with limited burn times. IRL missiles have a finite amount of fuel, so after they have finished their burn and have climbed up to altitude they can only use that stored energy in going after their target. Thus, the strategy to defeat missiles is to use up their stored momentum (dragging them down into the thicker parts of the atmosphere and then making turns the missile can't follow). A way to simulate that would be if the human missiles had a timer (10/20/30s?) that cuts the thrusters after the specified amount of time and after that the missiles can only glide to hit their target. A cool idea to use that would be to have a SAM site at a spawn point where the human missiles launch from and the plane has to reach that base (i.e. bomb it). The missiles then have to shoot down the plane before it reaches the SAM site.
Oh look. I can give you money! So check this out. Make hover bases. They just hover. With a lot of weapons. And the bases must shoot down the player controlled missiles. That way the player in the base gets to focus on defense rather than trying to control the craft like with the over powered plane. who ever last longest in the air wins! Player missiles must respawn at a spawn point maybe?
Frank brings a lot of energy to these that was missing with just you and yuzui. Still miss the old days with Kan and kosmo though. Imagine if we could get a video with all 5
How about making planes with pilot guided missles. You stay in the plane, and use controls to guide the missle. Its anything but easy. It may need two people per plane, but definitely something more along the lines of what I was expecting. You could also do flares for the pilot that shoots out debries from the rear of the plane Great video!
Maybe if you all used the same missile, the difference in time would be less pronounced. I think that would make sense since you three used the same planes. Good video!
I'm sure you've already considered it, but you asked for ideas applying this concept: - Torpedoes against a battleship or submarine (unlike your recent video, these torpedoes are human controlled and start in the water) - 'Rocket-bikes' against tanks/armored cars on a track - High-speed space battle with space missiles vs a space cruiser - Maybe a human-controlled missile without propulsion but dropped from a human controlled aircraft into a moving target/stationary target
Mission control style - seat on land, double the explosives, target plane has to circle island, missle and gunner on mountain peak controlling a missle to hit the orange marshmallow 😂
Remember that time you weaponized the skyhook recovery system? What if you turned that into a battle? Have someone with the skyhooks chasing the other players trying to send them to the skies
I think that doing something similar next time would be fun, but instead of building the missiles you build the planes with a limit of 80 blocks and one weapon and try to survive for as long as you can against two people in missiles, I feel like the round could last longer with custom planes because you could make a very agile plane that can dodge way better than these big ones. But at the same time I am not sure how much good content you would get from doing almost the same thing as you just did.
Flight Olympics Episode? Each person builds 3 aircrafts. Each one with a different event in mind. One for speed, agility, and endurance. Speed is max top speed with 5 power cores total, Agility is an obstacle course, but the aircraft has to have a minimum of 3 power cores and at least two must be Phantom Jets (so no slow and steady, must be fast & agile), then endurance is a 200 block max tank or evasion aircraft build where the others will fly these guided missiles to try and take out the competitor.
this definetly should be revisited with some revised rules, such as more dynamite, proximity trigger by sensor only, and perhaps beef up the target plane a bit, and a minimum allowed speed for the missiles, missile spawn point restricted to the carrier could also change the target from plane to tank, boat or make a manned torpedo to take out submarine or boat
I don’t know if the “remote control” builds still work, but if they do that would open up some cool possibilities. Guided anti air missiles, a two person plane where one pilots and the other controls the missiles, an anti missile gauntlet etc.
Some idea-skis for more guided-missile-challanges are perhapskis doing this in space or underwater with torpedos? Maybe you could then build the target vehicle and have the missiles premade as they are fairly simple?
Yall need to redo this with a faster, more agile aircraft. Check out the story of the f16 dodging 6 sam missiles during the gulf war. Get both a missile and an airframe that can go supersonic, add more aoe explosion effect to the missile. Basically do an air defense artillery challenge. This one was still awesome! Look forward to seein you come back to this kinda challenge!
I would do some experiments to work out the effective distance of dinomite, then build the missile with distance sensors on facing forward, and each direction from the nose so that direct impacts weren't possible.
Did they change space thrusters? Even If I put one extra I'm still 50 mph slower edit: forgot a block beneath the shielding atop the horizontal gyro and that empty space created so much drag
Repeating this with faster builds could be interesting. Putting a speed limit on the missiles that is a little lower than the plane would allow for more intense chases and maneuvers and eliminate the small issue y'all had where the target was a little too easy to catch and take out. For extra fun, it could be done at supersonic speeds

such as more dynamite, proximity trigger by sensor only, and perhaps beef up the target plane a bit, and a minimum allowed speed for the missiles, missile spawn point restricted to the carrier
could also change the target from plane to tank, boat or make a manned torpedo to take out submarine or boat
Video idea
You could do it with submarines. That would be very interesting
Damn Scrapman I like your video :D
I would do some experiments to work out the effective distance of dinomite, then build the missile with distance sensors on facing forward, and each direction from the nose so that direct impacts weren't possible.
Did they change space thrusters? Even If I put one extra I'm still 50 mph slower
edit: forgot a block beneath the shielding atop the horizontal gyro and that empty space created so much drag
A missle vs drone battle would be cool, where a bunch of missles try to hit a small, nimble drone
Repeating this with faster builds could be interesting. Putting a speed limit on the missiles that is a little lower than the plane would allow for more intense chases and maneuvers and eliminate the small issue y'all had where the target was a little too easy to catch and take out. For extra fun, it could be done at supersonic speeds
for the next time you can maybe do humain guided torpedo vs boats or subs
submarines vs human guided torpedoes :3
Guided missiles but against jets so you can actually dodge
The sound at 16:55 is insane
When scrap went down it looked so cinematic
I thought you would use the xor remote glitch and camera
Silly to call an HGM a RGM
@@CJBuggs oh my bad but it's still guiled by us but remotely
