I have these and think they are a great addition! A quick note on installation, for each hole to drill (think there are 8 of them along the track) there are actually drill guide holes that are offset by 1/2" from each of the actual mounting holes, so all you need to do find where you want the final track position, offset the track by 1/2", drill all the holes and then slide the track back a half inch and attach the mounting screws. In your vid you used a drill punch which works too, but they included those holes in the track as a guide.
Bought these a few months ago. Really like them. Well made. Makes the saw safer to use, especially with thin sheet goods. Helps keep plywood or Masonite from lifting up and being caught on on top of blade and kicking back. Only drawback is I use a incra fence and must make extra step to lock it down tight because this will lift the fence up as the wheels apply downward pressure.
Just ordered these.. 4 years later but only got my SawStop CT saw a couple months ago. I hope they work on the fence addition I bought which has a top t track on it.
I forgot to mention, I've seen several videos that show magnets holding down each end of the Jessem on the fence. I DO NOT recommend these. I have a Harvey saw, which has a label on top of my fence, which I removed. The magnet manufacturer recommended they should not be attached to paint and be attached to bare metal only. Mine was "pretty" secure on the painted fence (2 @ 95# each), but they could be moved with some force, so I opted to screw mine down to the fence to be 100% sure.
Great demo, Walk! (calling you that or, Bud, because I couldn't find your first name) My only question is, " how do you push a very narrow board through??" In other words, if your stock is 2" wide or narrower, there's no room for your push stick, and you're certainly not going to get your fingers near that blade.
I use a thin push stick that goes under the rollers. Because the guides take care of pushing down and towards the fence you only have to worry about pushing horizontally. Any thin stick less than the thickness of the stock you are cutting will work fine. I've cut 3/4" runners for a sled using this method.
There is a link to them in the description 👍. Comes with everything you need to attach it to your current table saw fence. I love them and highly recommend them to anyone.
I have been planing on getting them for quite a while now just cant justify the price. A bit too pricey. If it goes on sale might consider but otherwise will stay with my featherboards.
I replaced the rings on my router table's version of these hold downs (they look to be the same). The Jessem cust service rep was fantastic and recommended buying them from a US-based distributor. They are from Jessem, cost the same (mine were actually less because of the timing of the currency conversion), and you don't have to deal with shipping (or customs delays) from Canada.
@@mattnudi9752 I did get them with the kit. Can't say I've used them on enough various cuts to make judgement so the jury is still out on versatility. They do make things safer and don't have to hold the piece up against the fence...I do like that.
I like the intended benefit but its way too much fussign. And drilling into my sawstop fence is a deal breaker. Great concept but this one dies on the design table.
@@WalkersWoodworks Rewatched your video two more times. Looks like I might just eat my hat on this one. I'm always worried about drift north of the saw blade. This contraption may be worth its weight in gold after all. Would still go the no-drill install route. I posted a link in another comment to this video. Thoughts on that?
I bought one just a few weeks ago whwn it was on sale otherwise couldnt justify the cost. Little did know that even a good idea/product can be limited by its weakest link. The set i received only had 4 socket screws with wing nuts even though there are 8 holes made for them. There are 4mon each side of the aluminum extrusion and in order to remain ridgid over the years it need secure hold down. Well apparently spending over $250 did not justfy adding 8 screw sets vs half. Shame thst the customer service was zero help. I remain loyal to companies with good customer service but that was not my experience so will be returning product.

Ah. I don't seem to have that problem on the sawstop but I can see where that would happen.

These stock guides work great, AND they also prevent the stock from moving backward with the wheels that will only move in one direction.

Love mine! Totally worth it.
Love the safety these provide. One of my best purchases.
Safety and accuracy! I use them all the time.

I really need to get me a set of these for my table saw and router table
They are so worth it!
this is amazing !!! i want this same set up...can you give me details where to buy and exactly what all comes with it ?

Have had these on my wish list. Good explanation of their advantage.
Thanks! I'm very happy with them
Great review. Straightforward lots of nice demos... Keep it up
Thanks! Appreciate you watching.
Did you install your router lift into existing extension table? Or is that an aftermarket extension router table?
Good demo but would have liked to see sheet goods ran through.
I can say it handles sheet good the best for sure.

They are worth it in my opinion. They are very well built.
Master 80 lvl) good job!

Great review
Thank you!
👌
Looks like a great product but read reviews of how the o-rings degrade quickly. Replacement with shipping sounds expensive.
I haven't had that issue yet.

I have an Incra fence...guess this setup won’t work for me.
I'm not sure on that one.
@@WalkersWoodworks there actually is a "kit" so that it'll work on Incra TS systems....in case anyone else wants to know.
