#GalaxyNote10 #GalaxyS20 #Samsung
At the same price, unless you really need the S-Pen, get the S20+. Newer processor, camera, 120 Hz screen, one more year of updates, louder speakers.
Yeah
I disagree. For one the S20 Ultra is about 400 bucks more. Louder speakers may not matter to a lot of people if you're just going to use bt speakers anyway. Plus the magnitude of difference in loudness doesn't really mean much.
Newer processor for a difference you won't in real works performance care about. 120 hz for what people made a big deal about it seems like it's not something everyone would care about.
Depending on what you're using your phone for, the S20 Ultra probably won't be worth it. Especially if the trade in value for the S20 Ultra and note 10 plus is like 200 bucks apart or let's out it at 300, overall you're just spending more for bragging rights and features you may not care about.
You'll have to hold the S20 Ultra to maturity (when it's no longer up for resale at a time the note 10plus is not) to really matter. And many would've upgraded by then. If you're going to just upgrade to the note 20 plus 5G anyway, get a note 10+ at a much cheaper value then just trade in because the trade in value between the note 10 plus and S20 5g is like a couple hundred bucks.
If you really are a note person just wait until the note 20 to trade what you got. If you're an S person, then get the S.
Zane Miracle I was speaking about S20+, not Ultra. I can’t speak for everyone and don’t know what people care about in a phone, but if you’re going for flagships, all of the above matter. If not, you really shouldn’t spend 1000$ for a phone.
Both phones aren't the same price though. You can cop the Note 10 Plus on eBay for $650 brand new.
@@RecenziiPeBune If it's the S20 it's more convincing. The difference is about $100+ then it only depends on if you care for a note or not. If you even considered the note 10 then you may care for note over S series. If so you're better off buying a used note 10+ for less than $700 or a regular note 10 for even less and trade those phones in. Rather than spending it on a S20+ when the purchase difference is so big for a trade in that isn't meaningful of a difference.
If your decision is based on specs alone (based on your original comment) then you might as well buy a used note 10, trade it in when the note 20 comes and save on a heap of cash you'd waste on a S20+. And then you'd actually appreciate all that "difference".
The main argument I see for buying an S20+ over a note 10+ is if you're a bigger fan of the S series. Or you want to take advantage of Samsung's buyback program for the S20 series. Specs alone do not warrant buying the S20+ over the note 10+.
The only question you need ask is do you use the S-Pen.
I use it every time i have to extract a text, or texts, from pdf files or even pictures. It's a really nice to have feature. Sample use, take a pic of an Ad while on a drive, extract the text, call the phone number :)
A resounding yes
Obviously I use this. I can do everything what other can't do clearly,
currently have an s10+ and im missing the s-pen
@@mrlace4776 the S Pens are only available in the NOTE range
I have the S20 and Note 10 Plus. Took me a few days but Im selling the S20. Why? Well:
1. The Exynos gets warm from nothing. Like, really warm.
2. The 120hz drains the battery. I switched back to 60hz.
3. The slim shape doesnt feel good. Matter of preference really.
The Note 10+ just feels more premium. Both of them are superfast. I prefer the Note.
I have to agree with you. I got the S20+ and disliked it from day 1 and ended up selling it. I have never had a Note series before so went to have a look at one and ended up getting the Note 10+. In my opinion is just looks & feels more premium that the S20 series. I also thought that I would never use the S-Pen, how wrong was I.
My only issue is the 120 Hz , why buy a device and not use it to its full potential?
totally agree!
And the note 10plus is also exynos? Im alao on the verge of buying the note 10plus exynos and i am afraid the battry will not last at least a day. How are you getting with the battry life if you dont mind me ask you?
@@duncangrixti181 The exynos on the note 9825 works better than the 990.
The new 990 over heats and lags more.
The 9825 can keep the performance without lags or over heating, it also doesnt drain much battery
Bigger base storage, S Pen additional features, and boxier design for me 😍 still enjoying on my Note10+
Boxy design keeps me away from the s20 line lol
Yes i will choose note 10 + this is a big guy compared to s20 lineup
They're not the same price. The note 10+ can be bought for €600-€700 from third parties.

The note 10plus cameras produce same quality images, sometimes better than the s20 series. S pen is always a bonus. Seen a 30 min detailed camera comparison between both.
Forget the 45W charging on the note. Doesn't make any difference if you use 25 or 45. Time taken is same. Don't spend extra on the 45W charger.
8k video is in nascent stages. 4k60 4k30 is where it is at the best.
Again, the note has same quality video as the s20 series. Moreover, the video quality mostly used world wide is 1080p.
Displays are same. 120hz is not worth the extra battery life consumed. I consider high refresh rates on smartphones a gimmick. Absolutely no real use except scrolling and animations at 120 hz.
Won't comment about performance, most people want it but don't need it. Also, Exynos 990 as a whole package is abysmal when compared to the sd865.
Note 10+ : Better design, S Pen, bigger starting storage
S20+ : 120hz screen, faster processor, larger battery, (maybe) better camera
About the same I got the note 10plus in i played with the new ones
Battery on the s20 on 120hz is worst than the note 10+
Having seen other videos, I think the note 10 is better on some areas like hdr and the s20 wins out on video stabilisation.
@Matthew Henry Now look at the actual blind tests.
@@wokenepali8376 on paper it has the best but know that the note 10 also sucked at first with a few updates the s20 will get an epic camera
I've upgraded from my note 8 and got the S20+. I was really disappointed I returned it 3 hours later and ordered the note 10+. Once a note user always a note user. The S20+ doesnt look as premium with its rounded corners. It looks like the cheaper A31. 120hz is disabled off the bat and the white pixels had a yellow tinge compared to my note 8. It put me off completely.
Who uses the S-pen daily?
I do!
S pen is gooe for casual work, browsing, scrolling and helpful in many ways.
@Anthony Gomes I use it for writing in my journal. Taking notes for work. I also use it in place of my finger/hand. I don't use the gestures for the camera except the press to take a picture.
@@Beampk1 yes definitely scrolling and browsing, same here.
@Anthony Gomes Smart select
Mr Chicken Yup forgot to mention that which is something I use weekly. Many many uses for the S-pen.
BTW A.A., Note10+ can record 4K @60fps ALREADY since the last update so video recording wise the only advantage of S20 series is the ability to record 8K@24fps.
Well I dont know where your at, but the Note 10 Plus is not the same price as the S20 Plus. As far as what to pick? Note 10 ofcourse.
Why am i looking at a face more instead of 2 phones mention
Note 10+ , it is beautiful with those boxy edges. I personally feel one should buy one which makes you happier when you look at it and use it. Sure, S20+ is better, but for me, it is Note 10+ 🙌
Thank you. Those boxy edges look so damn fine... I think the rounded corners found nowadays look like garbage.
All the ways Note 10 plus,,
S pen comes with Many advantages
I would choose Note 10+ ⚡⚡⚡
Yes, after weeks of reviewing both phones i decided to buy the note 10+ three days ago. I'm changing my note 8 and S8+ in favour of the Note 10+
Hey am from NL I still can't choose between the s20+ and note 10+, is the note 10+ good, am planning on switching from my j7 pro(I have only had this phone)
@@unkown7384 I also had the same doubt but yesterday I purchased Note10+. Cos lots of ppl are complaining about the heating issue in S20+ exynos version. Have you purchased any and how is it performing today?
@@siddhant9277 i got the a71 5g, its a great phone and works fine for writing notes and calling friends
I personally prefer the Samsung Galaxy Note10 Plus not only because of the S Pen, but also since the Note series of Samsung have always been better, more reliable phones compared to the Galaxy S ones.
Of course this is a personal preference and not everyone's best choice. :-)
Always? What about the Note 7?
I have the s20 ultra and I love this phone. I also have the note 10+ and its beautiful too. But I like the heaviness of the s20 it feels better in the hand. Its the slightest bit taller which I was concerned about but it actually doesn't even bother me. The camera is a giant that's true. But I don't really look at the back so I'm not fussed. The camera is great I feel better then the note the colours are so great this year alot like the iPhone colour wise. I love Android but for the past few years have been using iPhone alot more i think just because its simpler and i haven't really found a phone that I love. But I really think the s20 ultra in the one for me. I'm loving that the screen is almost flat as well. I was not a fan of the curved screen.
I was thinking about getting a Note 10 or a Galaxy S20, but ultimately chose the S20 instead, because the better screen and camera was more important than the sPen for me.
If you’re looking for storage, feature of Spen go with Note 10+
If you want longer update and better camera go for S20+
😂😂😂😂 is not better camera, he has only 8k 24 fps, but is not good
It's all about the s pen! Once you need it and use it, there is no substitute!
Which according to you is a better choice at this time among S20 plus and Note 10 plus for about same price of about 700$?
Just got the Note 10+ instead without to much struggle. It was in fact very easy. 120hz, I would't use anyway to save battery. Performance gains, who cares? Note will take anything you throw at it, and I don't game. I love mobile photography, and really the zoom on the S is more of a practical thing than a necessity for photos. Note takes stunning shots to. So no reason to convince me so far, but...the design and the s pen of the Note, it shouldn't even be compared to other phones, it's something of it's own. No matter how rare you use it, once you pull out that pen, to fill a form, sign a doc, edit photos etc, there is no other phone in the WORLD than can do that :)
If it's using Exynos, then a big NO for either of them. Get a Oneplus or any other Snapdragon powered smartphone.
you watched too much youtube comparisons

A very enlightening video indeed. I wonder how much confused people would have been, if it was not for this video.

How's the ultra ? Is it really worth it ?
And the camera , is it bad as alot say.
And thank you .
I literally saw this right after I bought an S20 ( not plus), when I had someone agree on the same price for the Note 10+.
The S20 is much smaller, but I think it's a good change. It's much more comfortable and now I have a reason to get a new tablet too. :)
Corrections:
1) S20+ has a curved display, not flat.
2) S20+ so-called telephoto lens is NOT 3x optical telephone. It is 1.1x only (26mm vs 29mm). Shouldn't even be called a telephoto. Its 3x zoom is hybrid zoom achieved mostly by cropping as the sensor is 64MP.
So the comparison is really for the average user is do you need an S-pen or not? And are you willing to pay a hundred or more for an S20+ with 120hz refresh rate?
Justification: chipset, average person wouldn't tell the difference. You can find the Note 10+ for less than £$900. Cameras for average person would be fine with either (always subjective nowadays since smartphone photography is great).
I couldn't tell the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz in my daily use. I have to do a deliberate super slow scroll to see the difference. So in my daily use, i can't tell the difference.
I prefer by far, the squared off look of the Note phones. Only phones have a 50's TV rounded look, everything else, is squared off.
I got a note 10+ Open box customer return inJanuary for £520. I don’t understand people who pay full price for Samsung phones. Wait 3 or 4 months after they get released. Even Samsung own website always have offers. £200 off at Easter last week. Will be even better summer sale and they always have great offers on Black Friday and Christmas.
Where did you get the info that S20+ has 3x optical zoom? The standard camera has 1.0x and the 'zoom' camera has 1.04x zoom with Digital Zoom only, because 64 MPX and smaller pixel size than Note's 2x Optical Zoom. This leaves only the screen 120Hz advantage vs SPen...
The s20 and s20+ have 3x optical zoom, note 10 has a 2x...
@@mazzalean077 From Samsung website: www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-s20-5g/specs/
If you don't know how to transform FOV to zoom, then yes, is a 3x optical zoom. If you look at S20 Ultra zoom camera and make the math, S20 and S20+ have NO OPTICAL ZOOM. That's why is called Hybrid....because of .04 zoom. Ignorance is a bliss...and marketing, definetly marketing...
Does the S20 series still suffer from auto adjustment camera due to removing the telephoto?
I think that's only a problem for Ultra?
I recently got an software update and its much better. I was shocked how shit the camera came out of the box but with the update I feel like its one of the best cameras easy now.
Exynos? no thank you

Personally the only Samsung phone that still stand out is the Note, with a feature that every other phones don’t have (Huawei Mate30Pro
Requires carrying the pen separately). For me, the S series are not that different from other android phones, or even not as good in certain aspects like the software optimization of OnePlus. This is just a personal preference.
Using S20 Plus exynos version it is horrible because of the thermal throttling .
If you use it for extended times starts to lag big time !!!!!

i'm interested in the wallpaper. Where can i get the wallpaper like on the Note 10 here?
I've had the note10 since release and I am now eligible for an upgrade. I am a plumber so the S Pen comes in handy when I draw diagrams for insurance companies, but what I really need is a good android phone that otter box has made a case for.
It's also worth noting that the camera on the note 10 plus has a HUGE advantage with camera software processing
0:02 Where can I get that wallpaper?
The know the Note 20-plus is going to have a little bit more because it's newer. However, my Note 10 plus is still a beast of a phone and I'm going to keep my Note 10 plus another two years or so. I'm not worried about no speed and no camera because my Note 10 plus give me good camera quality and enough speed and it hasn't even been out a year yet. I know the note 20 plus will be a phenomenal phone but I'm holding onto my Note 10 plus a little longer because there's absolutely nothing wrong with my Note 10 plus and I haven't even begun to do the things my Note 10 plus is capable of.
No difference between 25w and 45w charging on note 10+... (Just a couple minutes of difference)
Go for the Note 10+. The screen isn't so thin like the s20 so when you're watching movies on it it looks much better. s20 is only a nano-second much faster than the note 10+ you won't notice much difference if you do not compare them side by side.
How about the difference in Ram and Base storage ?
I tried the S20 Ultra at 120hz but the price doesn't justify it and I STILL LOVE and prefer my S9 Plus!

The S20 series looks distinctly bland compared to the Note 10 series, which was a major deciding factor for me when I picked the Note 10. The rest of the improvements on the S20 are marginal, at best; I compared the cameras and found next to no difference between the two for example. A black Note 10 is one of the most elegant looking phones currently on sale.

I will never buy a phone with higher Rez from Samsung. The battery sucks and has to lower the display Rez on my s8+ to saver battery.
J Harikrishnan You are talking about the screen refresh rate, not the display resolution. My s8+has 60hz refresh rate by default. I downgraded the display Rez to 720p. The newer phone has Qhd or Qhd+ displays and higher refresh rate on top will suck the battery at a faster rate.

Neither, no one should pay $1000 for a phone.
these aren't just phones they are miniaturized portable computers. trying to squeeze all the hardware into such a small form factor is far from easy. would you pay $1000 for a laptop? most of us have paid more than that. so if you ask yourself what am i getting for $1000 and then directly compare that to pc's, you more often than not get what you pay for.
just because something is small in size doesn't mean it isn't complicated or worthwhile. example a tourbillon watch compared to a wall clock. if we want computing power and features in a small form factor that costs from engineering to retooling of factories. the price may seem high but you are getting imho more than what you pay for.
especially considering what they used to cost. my first cellphone 25 years back cost $500. it was just a phone and was hardwired into my car. my old palm V little more than an organizer that cost $600. that was years ago and not adjusted for inflation.
@@mikenichols3849 Of course I recognize the complexity of these devices, especially nowadays, but remember a couple of years ago they weren't touching $1000 except for Apple, and now they are. A laptop tends to have a longer lifecycle than a smartphone, so not really a fare comparison.
Look I get they offer a lot of value for what they are, but if you're going to support the crazy high prices, they'll keep charging them. Don't defend this ridiculous trend. Plenty of other phones have proven you don't need to spend $1000 for flagship specs, not to mention these 2 removed the headphone jack, while more affordable, comparable options kept it while offering you a lower price.
Don't support bad trends. Just because you have $1000 to spend, doesn't mean you should. Plus it hurts others in the long-run who want a flagship but aren't fortunate enough, or are smarter with their money.
Which one should i buy pls help me

Enjoyed the review. Only thing I would've liked was an actual side by side comparison of photo quality differences. I like 'real world' comparisons. Not just comparisons of supposed benchmarks. "On paper" stats do not always equal "real world" test stats.
