When I was a youth there was a derelict one on the farm. I towed it under cover and set about it. It turned out to be a jolly fine tractor.
I used to love baling straw with the old International 440 square baler. They laughed when I first hitched up the baler as the 950 had no live drive 2 stage clutch. All I did when facing a huge heap of straw was to just rev the tractor a bit more and pull the gear lever into neural without using the clutch, the tractor freewheeled into the heap and the baler ate what was infront of it , when the bale chamber was empty use the clutch and a low gear..the baler kept going using flywheel momentum and slowly ate the heap...simple really if you were mechanically apt.
TLDR>>> They were a grand little yoke.

It’s free!!! I never thought soaking it in diesel fuel would do the trick.

Was this posted on teh David brown USA group on FB for awhile? I too own a DB., a 1972 885 Narrow. found out only 532 made it to the U.S. Pretty rare. Hope to find a 780 or 770 narrow next.

Yes it was posted for sale on there and I bought it. Cool. That's one I've never seen in the states before. We have several 885 standards in my family and dad and I each have a 780. Dad had a couple 770s years ago but not anymore. Best of luck in your searches!
