I felt the tension trying to crack those bleed screws! After you're finished, how do you clean the pressure bleeder out? I imagine a thin film of brake fluid will be left inside, even after draining the contents back into the brake fluid container.
If brake fluid is green, normally means contaminated but I think you can get a green mineral brake fluid but think the mechanic is referring to the Castrol brand and which is what I use and green. Check your service manual it will say if dot 4 or 5 and if you need ESP. Don’t use an open unless you know it was opened recently.
Just a healthy criticism dont use a quarter inch ratchet on the bleed nipples, invest in some proper nipple spanners, my old mazda was so rusty they werent comming out so had to bleed the fronts only undoing the banjo bolt. Got there in the end.
This was really helpful, thanks for covering all the stages in detail 👍

Can I top up that comma dot 4 esp to top up my focus. Cause, a mechanic told me that it needs a kind of green colour one.

The tentative moments, waiting to see if the bleed nipple snaps........
We've all been there.
