Great video. One tip is to put down a kitchen towel on your sick to rest the horn on so it doesn't rub/bump against the metal directly. Do you ever use soap along with the warm water to remove any build up?
That’s a great tip! I occasionally run a *tiny* drop of unscented dish soap through, or unflavored listerine if it’s really nasty, but I do this often enough that just water is fine.
very interesting and helpfull video. It´s kinda hard to find tips and tricks on that topic. Can you tell me why you bought a german horn? I´m considering to get a new horn as well cause im playin a chinese copy of the alexander 503 and im not really a fan of it anymore.
Nice video, just want to get your thought on something. I do the same thing you do add rotor oil to the top of the valve and on the inside of the pipe. But others recommend adding bearing oil on top of the valves.
Everyone does it differently, I feel like the bearing oil is a little too thick to put anywhere but the back and slows everything down, but if it works for you that’s awesome 😎
@@AlanaBeDootin great points, I think the heavier/thicker oil is recommended for well used/older horns. As the spaces get bigger and heavier/thicker oil is better.
Thank you . Have an nice Day .
Great video! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for this video!
Why do you press the valve down when taking slides out? I’ve only really pressed them when putting the slides in.
