My husband knew the moment he pulled out of my driveway on our first date that he wanted to see me again. He text one min down the road, "I had a great time and already miss you" We got married a year later and still going strong 6 years down the road.

Why do we consider giving COOKIES to men for having basic decency and communicating. It's what you're SUPPOSED to do when you're dating. Practice transparency and maturity when you're dating. The bar that was once on the floor for men, to me, is now BURNING. SMH
Totally its what you should do. But I think its good to appreciate honesty cause some guys do not even understand what that is.
It was only one date, lots of people do t feel the need to explain themselves after that. It was only an hour of their life in a clear “getting to know you/seeing what happens” situation. They don’t actually owe anything. In my opinion.

Its honestly a little rude and self centred in my opinion. You can send a small text telling the person you had a good time but you would prefer to go separate ways. Yeah this is definitely old, look at Loni and Jeannies hair, this is their earlier type of styles (Loni's color, and Jeannie's pinned back, etc)
I'm with Adrienne and Loni on this, if someone has you doubting yourself and overthinking things that much that's a red flag you shouldn't date them.
One of the biggest lessons I ever learnt was if someone truly cares about you they'll make an effort to be with you. When I was single and dating I experienced something similar once where a guy didn't 'ghost' me as such but he definitely played games with my feelings. His personality would turn from warm to cold and I never knew where I stood with him. Where as when I met my husband I knew instantly he wanted to be with me because he's shown that since day one. A man who loves you without hesitation is the best kind of love to find in life. No game playing. Don't fall for someone who won't be there to catch you.

Ghosting has been trash since FOREVER !!! I can't stand people that will literally just stop all communication ONCE they have got back to someone ! I think he was respectful enough to at-least let her know... was it late ? YES ! BUT I also think he should've let her know that day after or something ESPECIALLY if he knew he was talking to somebody prior... he should've let her know that on the first date too !
Yeah, but why should he have to let her know that he's dating other people if they're not exclusive? It was only one date. It's not that serious. He took a while, but at least he let her know what was going on, so that she could at least have some closure. But if I were her, I would thank him for his honesty and wish him the best and then continue dating.

Do you think people date only one person at a time? If you date from a dating app, for example, it's understood by everyone that you will be dating various people. You go on multiple dates with multiple people until you're exclusive with one of them. You don't have to disclose that.
And I actually agreed with you that I'm glad that he actually disclosed his intentions with her, even though it was a few days later.
It’s not about gender I’m a woman I did the same thing dating because I don’t think every interaction deserves a formal ending. Then most people want honesty but if the honest truth is they don’t care enough to contact you 🤷🏽♀️ they show you that but you still want a text confirmation? Actions > words
I'm sorry if James "met someone literally right before her" and really wanted to see where things were going to go with this other person and he "really isn't into the multiple dating thing" WHY DID HE EVEN GO OUT ON A DATE WITH HER IN THE FIRST PLACE!? If he wanted to focus his energies on this other relationship he should have respectfully declined the date with her. Then she wouldn't be left hurt or confused..no time wasted..no worrying..no harm or foul. And in the end she would have respected him for his honesty (true honesty). Not having a date and all the while he was probably thinking about this other person then five days later after she was in agony over him not calling then taking the cowards way out and sending a TEXT telling the truth. No...after that he owed her a phone call...voice to voice. What is wrong with people?!

Truth...if he didn't want to "proceed" then he shouldn't have even went out on a date with her especially if he had already started something with someone else...that would be the most appropriate thing to do.

He or anyone else is allowed to date more than one person. It's called not seeing anyone serious. Until you develop stronger feelings or interest in someone else, then you are and should be free to interact until you decide to be exclusive! One date is NOT a marriage make! Please stop taking relationship and dating advice from Loni, or other women known for being chronically single and promiscuous! Seek and take advice from single respectable and high standards or happily married and monogamous women! Be glad a honest guy won't sleep with, let you pay for dates, waste your gas and time to chase him, instead of being up front before you invest your heart and soul!

He should have told her then while they were face to face that she seemed like a nice lady but he had met someone else and he wanted to see where things go with that person.

It used to bother me seeing holes together like that so bad that one day I was in bed trying to sleep and I couldn't cause I would scratch myself and could not stop of thinking about it, until I decided to type in on Google trypophobia and watch all of those disgusting images. As someone who's worked at a few different restaurants and in different positions, while I understand the horror stories of servers or cooks spitting in your food, I have never seen it happen. And I worked in restaurants for years. Even when a cook or server is super irritated with a customer who's being rude or beyond picky and KEEPS sending their food back, I've only ever seen a cook or server throw plates around or talk bad about the customers behind their backs and warn other servers about how terrible a certain customer is... Spitting or doing something bad to people's food is just not tolerated at an actual restaurant... Idk what happens in fast food places but in a legit restaurant, people are there to make money and do their job right and there are cameras and plenty of other servers and managers working and watching everything that's happening, managers are often "on the line" checking plates before they go out or sometimes even back with the cooks and in prep area, so spitting in someones food really just doesn't happen. Not enough for you to feel like you can't politely let your server know something isn't made the way you'd like. They aren't the one's cooking it so they don't take it personally, they are just making sure YOU are happy so they can get their tip. and cooks just wanna do their job too.

overall, its a date. you date till you find you someone you really connect and want to be with. when someone wants to commit to a person, they will. im sure he liked her and they had much in common but maybe the “spark” wasnt there on his end. i would of been like, “thanks good luck” and moved on. i also wouldnt of had waited 5 days for a reply, i would of been dating around still. i dont put all my eggs in one basket.

When I first started dating my now husband he made me very angry like a week or two in (it was a cultural misunderstanding but I originally perceived it as something incredibly rude). So by the end of the night I insulted him and left with the anticipation of never seeing him again. When I got home he texted me to see if I got home safe and then asked if I wanted to join him on an outing with his friends. Y’all if a man likes you, he likes you. No matter if the date was good or bad, you can tell if you like a person. (I did also apologize for hurting his feelings)

They’re on a dating site which means there is usually more than one person that they’re talking to. Everyone is going to be an option. That’s what the site is for. He probably really liked her but likes this other lady more. There’s really no reason to be mad at this man. It was ONE date. What he did was very considerate even if it took a few days. It’s not like it was months later. He just needed time to think. If I liked this guy and things don’t end up working with the other girl & I’m not dating anyone else, I wouldn’t mind giving it another try
