Great honest review
This stuff needs to be said
I do want this line to succeed
And I want to purchase this but they have to fix all those issues
Right now I’m playing all these tables on a switch connected to a vertical tv with a subwoofer
It’s a good experience with minimal issues
Of course I rather have it on a table but it can’t have flipper lag
I feel like some people maybe lie to themselves
If you know the tables you feel it right away n like you said it gets very frustrating

I agree with everything you’ve said Patrick. This is a very very enjoyable game and you probably know I’m one of the biggest complainers when it comes to Zen tables and latency. I rarely feel like I’m fighting the table here at all, instead I’m trying to hit the shots and complete modes. Here’s hoping this is a light at the end of the tunnel.

As an owner of 2 ALP's and 1 ALP 4KP with all the tables on all of them plus all the Zen on steam. I think this one is the best Native Zen Table so far, pretty happy except backglass and dmd sizes and low audio. TNG is the table I don't feel is worth 15 bucks and Peanuts needs alot of work, AFM is second best, then the Star Trek 3 pack.

Appreciate the complete and honest review sans shill. Great job and thank you, PDubs. I bought AFM this weekend and while it's fun, the lag is quite noticeable. Twilight Zone is in my cart.

Got this table yesterday.Looks and plays good.I give Zen credit for making it work.Maybe they can update and fix the lag AFM and TAF.

Nice review. I found myself just enjoying the Twilight Zone game, without any detracting thoughts about game play. So that's a win for me.

PDubs, you nailed it I bought Twilight Zone 2 days ago and you gave a perfect review. IMO the flipper lag is much better than Addams and definitely fun to play especially because of that, yeah it’s not perfect but damn if they can get Addams that good it’s all good!

Overall I agree with your review. Initially I played one quick game and felt the flipper lag was more prevalent than some of their other recent releases. I went back and played for about an hour and realized the flipper lag is actually pretty minimal in this game and is their best release thus far. Hopefully they will be able to fix the other releases to be as good.

I've got my money sitting in the bank and ready to purchase one of these 4k machines, but it seems like I'd be frustrated if there's that much flipper lag. I'll keep watching and waiting for better news. Great review.

"This game is going to look better on any other platform you play on", that's unfortunate. The price is right, for sure. Just wish you could combine the two; console/pc graphics with the proper play table. I'm glad it plays correctly, though. It looks clean and polished for an android port.

It may sound nitpicky, but the posts, ramps, metal lamp etc all look hand drawn. We are at the point now where all of the details should look "real".

I haven't purchased the last several ZEN tables, maybe ill buy this one after I see what the planned update brings this week. BTW, anyone heard anything on the Pinballnet, I'm still waiting on my paid 1 year subscription.

The main playfield is connected with LVDS not HDMI

This version has one huge advantage compared to pc and console graphically speaking, in vertical mode, the sides of the pinball machine align with the screen. On the other platforms in vertical mode the sides of the machine start converging from offscreen at a sharp angle in the back 1/3 of the table, and for some reason doesn’t look nearly as clean and not as immersive. In other words the playfield edges are more parallel with monitor edges with Atgames version. Its like on console / pc they set the vanishing point way too close, making it appear overly converging. Yeah picky, but Atgames must have pushed for this, and yeah I noticed.
I am perfectly okay with playing all these games on Steam with my old abandoned Legends Pinball. Thinking of just ripping out the atgames motherboard and just running it off an old 1080ti. Might pop out the screen for a 2K screen and go RTX series lol
I still feel like canceling my ALP order was the right thing to do.
What's interesting is when I play my Twilight Zone pinball machine, the cabinet is wider than my other machines. Doesn't look like you're on a wide body ALP 4k. Is Zen compressing the playfield image to fit here? Same for Star Trek. I don't own that one but it's also a wide body.
PS: I call 🐂💩 on no cursing while playing pinball
Appreciate the thoughts Scott! Yes wide body pinball games (example Gottlieb Genie) are always going to be compressed or squished into fitting a 16:9 screen with a very zoomed out look to them.

Yes Mike got a free 4K machine. I can't control what other people say or do but I can still be friends with people even if we have a difference in opinion is I guess all I can say.

if thats 4k its graphically terrible , if its a 720 p upscale to 4k its a half decent job , not worth the price tbh, seems like atgames and zen are going back 15 years, that rockchip is under powered for 4k

Please tell me how you can play addams family on an upright pinball game for cheaper?
Lag lag lag why would you purchase something that's not as advertised. I'm very concerned. I own the ALP HD but why go into the 4k table when in my option it seems that the hardware in inferior to run tables they promise. I wouldn't be surprised they relaunch the ALP in a year or two again to fix it with a better chip. Until then the money they want in Europe ill be buying my own 4k in 144zh 42inch for near enough to same price after all the import costs.
Like I’ve said on many streams, if you own an ALP HD you really don’t need to stress out about buying the ALP 4K
Plays great on a good PC cabinet. Building a simple cabinet is easy from two sheets of 1/2 inch plywood, screws, and paint. 8)
Everything is better on PC.
AtGames - great until you need real customer service.
