AtGames Pinball Pack Price Increase! THIS IS STRANGE!

- Throughout June AtGames hyped the promised 6/28/24 Release of their Natural History Pinball Pack 2 for the AtGames Legends Pinball HD and 4K Lines of Products. On 6/27/24 AtGames announced these pinball packs would be delayed due to 'fine tuning' and announced a new release date of 7/25/24. However, this is exactly 1 DAY AFTER they increase their Pinball Pack Pricing on the 4K Line of Products to $35 for any "Non-Zen" Pinball Pack so anything made by FarSight (Gottlieb Games) or Magic Pixel (Zaccaria, Taito, Dr. Seuss, Natural History) are going up.

I guess it’s the ALP HD and OTG for me until I see where this is going. No way I’m getting the 4K to start over at 35 a pop for everything I’ve already owned. Now I’m wondering if they will reduce the number of new skins they planned on in order to cut costs.

So glad I haven't invested into the 4k products yet. They should do like Xbox/Sony, small profit on the hardware then we all would be incentivised to buy the software. Truth be told they have disappointed me a number of times. In the future if i get another Vpin, it'll be something custom built by a company like Rec Room Masters etc. I was into their market because it was fairly priced. With the introduction of the 4k models the prices went way up, and at that price i rather just have something custom made.

Digital content has zero reason for price increases as no manufacturing (product packaging/ship logistics) is involved. New gen consoles never increase pricing on digital content. This just tells us they're shifting money for not getting the machine sales plus paying salaries for new employees. The management decision making is bonkers. Of course atgames didn't allow comments to be posted 😂

Do it. I picked up the entire star wars collection for the price of 1 atgames $35 pack by double dipping their sales to 75%-83% off. This was done by already owning FX3 table and getting another 50% off the already sale price of FX version. My friend got all the marvel tables on her Switch for $13. Develop those Pinball FX games over to the HD and watch the money roll in. I use my laptop to play them on my HD right now but I would buy the tables again just for the ease of use.

None of this will increase customers. Ashamed to see management squeezing more $$ out of their loyal customer base just to make "their ends meet","whatever that is. I wonder if they are losing money on the 4kp overall and it's about to be a big fail by the end for year. I also wonder how much is related to the inflation and bad economy.

They are trying to force those that haven’t bought all the pinball packs to subscribe to their monthly service. By raising the price of game packs, it makes the monthly service more appealing. My 2 cents .. lol
plus they have little competition in this category.

@@PDubsArcadeLoft yes but like me, you’ve been an early adopter. Atgames is not catering to folks like us. At some point they will release so many games from Zen and others, the only way to play them all … would be to subscribe.
Let’s say you’re a new 4K customer, it would be a stretch to buy every title at $35 per pack…subscribing would be much easier if you wanted access to all of them. They are adopting the Netflix model .. or like leasing a car .. 😀 they want to ask customers to sign up for the monthly service. Like so many software companies do.
If they are successful, watch a company like Zen or Williams will buy them.
Bad look here. I do have coupon codes that might actually work here, but this is not a good look to do this. I could see this with MS tables coming due to licensing.

The price increase is just too bizarre. I suppose it's possible they're trying to recoup the cost to port the tables to the 4k machine since I suspect the older tables are being pretty much ignored because of the Zen releases. And I suppose this could also be a way to drive people to Pinballnet. But jacking up the price on tables that were originally released quite a while ago seems pretty crazy.

I swear the various departments with in AtGames do not talk to each other. I agree this was a planned delay for this increase. I believe this was a way to put 40% off on a sales email and still charge full price. I will say that the LPO people really get screwed because that $20 AtBucks e-cash/credit garbage can't be used on sale items. This is worse than what Kohls does with their sales.

Makes me sad. I've been waiting to get the 4k until they get all the bugs straightened out and also was looking forward to new skins. This doesn't look too good.
It was to draw attention to them being released. Everything else would be on sale, the new tables wouldn't. The new tables would hurt sales of the other tables while owners day is going on, or the price of the new tables would put people off and they'd buy the sale content.
Will the $35 price apply to the HD version too or just the 4K?

From what I understand, price increase will not affect the introduction of Natural History 2 as they will discount it $10 during release.

So, it will be on sale for $15? Is this confirmed? 🤔 I don't see that anywhere. If they jack the price to $35 and sell it for $25, that exactly what the price would've been before the price increase, seems strange.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft No. It will be reduced to $25 so we don’t feel shafted. If you look, I believe the release is going to be a Christmas in July sale. It’s on the calendar.
@@KingEdAV yes I pointed that out in the video - this was supposed to be $25, they delayed the launch due to "tech issues" and the very next day published a calendar saying the games would be released on July 27, the day after the price goes to $35. Knocking it down to $25 is kind of an insult here don't you think?
@@KingEdAVthis is exactly what the whole video was about. You’re still getting shafted because the table is not on sale at all. It was announced at $25, they pushed back release until after price adjustment, and “discounted” the new price of $35 to $25. I hope most people see how scummy this is.

The game suppose to be available late in June during a sales week. They should still honor the 20$ price due to its technical issue with the release of HN2. Anyway pretty shady for a company. What about the deluxe packages will they be jacked up in price.?

It sucks, but the prices on everything are going up so I’m not surprised. I just hope all the tables coming out do so on time and work well!

Got rid of my HD in hopes of getting a 4K later, but probably will just skip it due to stuff like this, plus arthritis and carpal tunnel is making it not worth it for 20 minutes of gameplay and then several days of more pain than normal. $8.25 a table. Feels worth it to me if they are good. If they aren’t good then I’ll pass. Everything is going up in price and people need to get paid.

I liked the goo ole days when you could get table packs for $15 or less on sale. That was still too much for me and I just passed up on all their packs. $35 is a dagger to your wallet.
