- Take a stroll with me around Borehamwood and visit some previously unknown (some known) filming locations which feature in my book On the Buses: The Filming Locations. This video is also viewable on my Facebook Group On the Buses Filming Locations - Now and Then. Enjoy.

I too, like seeing where the films were made - then and now. It would have been better as the comments state, if you had inserted stills from the films for comparison also if it were filmed in full screen. I also think things were nicer then. Thanks for the upload
Enjoyed it tremendously, very interesting being a big fan of 'On the Buses' this trip down memory lane of the locations bringing back to life a number of the scenes and the characters remembered from the films.
it is quite emotional and sad that all those great actors and places have gone i am a massive on the buses fan we will never see the likes of those greats again
I completely agree with you Christopher. "On the buses" was such good fun. I cheer myself with a daily ride on the Number 11 on ITV3. Wonderful actors and actresses.
This was great, thanks Craig. Love the show and the movies they made. xx
Glad you enjoyed it.
thank you so much it has bought back my childhood memories of tv and also remember randle and hopkirk deceaced , and the champions and also the carry on team mostly all 60,s and 70,s . again thanks for filming locations and we should never forget them and all the actors of its time. just a bit of advice tho. it would have been better if the screen ratio be full screen
Fantastic video Craig, well done.
Alot of effort you put in to researching the locations, it was very informative and interesting. Only thing I would suggest is having a still of the film then showing us the now of what it looks like. Apart from that brilliant. Keep the videos coming.
Nice video, love stuff like this, thanks for your efforts 😀
Amazing. Thank you.
Fantastic
Cheers Craig. Lee
Too right awesome video
I lived just a little further up Whitehouse avenue at the time on the buses was filmed and watched the filming. The family who lived in 20, was the Renalds family home. The reason it was chosen was because it was, erm not well maintained. The studios was the associated British production company studios not elstree studio as it is now.
My hometown!! 💗💗💗
Been there many times to organises and hold events and photograph locations for my book.
Abs brilliant 👍
I love on the buses
Dead interesting I love on the buses
Hi Craig. The school was called Hillside upper school.
Thanks Dodge - the name escaped me when doing the live locations video.
Hi there just found your video! Very informative and I can help you with another tv show what was used at this location! It was AUF WIEDERSHEN PET SERIES ONE! The huts was where the Lucas studio is now and big brother.and next to the front of the studios going towards the old managers house where the big red brick office’s that was the so called flames was been built! And the real flats are over the road at bbc studios.
Interesting, but it would have been more so if you had show “Then” & “Now” pics.
If anyone likes to see old film locations then and now, I recommend Chris Bungo’s UA-cam channel. He does amazing old Hollywood locations and fades in the films stills as references.
This is great. I've clicked 'like'. So much love and care put into the research and commentary....but the narrow aspect ratio of the screen made me feel dizzy, so couldn't watch it past a couple of minutes which is such a darn pity bro...!!
I can't recall but may have used my Huawei P20 Pro mobile which does not have OIS sadly. Sorry.
I stayed in that elstree in with work one night. What a bad hotel that is
What was wrong with the YODL delivery van at 3235 in what was an interesting video?
A while since I recorded this but if I made a disparaging comment it would be because they are the worst delivery company out there.
Please hold the phone in landscape next time. I got 2 minutes into it and gave up.
It would help if you knew what you were talking about... you dont even show the before and now images so you could be anywhere .
I've been to Doris Hares birthplace, Bargoed, Wales.
A place that always remained close to Doris' heart.
@@OntheBusesDatabase1 I agree, I remember her interviews, her hometown of Bargoed was usually mentioned.
Please try and film in landscape next time
Apologies. Sorry if it spoiled your enjoyment.
