Thanks for this.Both sets of grandparents lived in Prestatyn and Rhyl in the 70's so we stayed here every time back then when visiting and really enjoyed ourselves.

There was an episode I saw today that I wanted to work out but the IMDB site didn't tell me the answer. It is not on here either. It might have been the 188 Bullhead Rd site but there was some sort of factory not far from the front entrance of the house and it only shows homes around there on Google Maps. It was the episode when Stan did the shopping and dropped an egg on the bus and yoghurt in the station and they were all home with the flu. If anyone knows that house location, I am intrigued.

Britannia Hotels completely ruined pontins. ....... before them it was a lot nicer 70s...80s....90s...love this place ...

Studio 5 at Wembley was the biggest TV studio in the UK.

This camp was only 2 years old at time of filming, opening in 1971 , on the site of a racecourse, hence the oval rd inside the camp was the actual racecourse. Things looked so much better in 73.

Bob did a sweet advert for the Finnish television, using his toothy on the buses charm. He was huge in Finland, a star.

Another amazing video. I don't suppose some of those smaller roads actually had bus services along them in real life, but they were used for filming, being quiet roads.

Another brilliant video. Thanks for that. Do you mind me asking do you work at Elstree to know all these places and be able to take photos inside the admin block there. Just I'm guessing they don't just let normal folk wander in there without special permission. 🙂

This is brilliant. Thanks for making this. I'm kind of speechless. We see these places on British films like on the buses and never think you're ever going to know where they were filmed. It wasn't something that was ever revealed. But to see every location you see on the start sequence of on the buses and see it now is brilliant. I see you have a couple others just popped up of the other on the buses films, so I will enjoy looking at them too.

We used to go there for the Queen conventions.......not the nicest place, had to clean the chalet before it was fit to sleep in, but if truth be known we only slept there

Delivered kegs and soft drinks when i drove drays back in the nineties, place was always choka back then....shame to see.

Such a shame, I played there for the Tidy Weekender raves, the main hall was an amazing venue to play. Staff were always great as well.

I'm a coach driver and did a job to The Gathering, a music festival with The Alarm and The Men They Couldn't Hang, to Pontins Prestatyn. I was waiting for Stan and Jack to pick me up in the Bristol open topper , but alas, they didn't turn up. It was a bit of a dump, but the history was amazing.

Craig your dedication to keeping all these memories alive is wonderfull.I done a coach job here 20 years ago with morris dancers from liverpool and i smiled to myself as i drove through the gate thinking of blakey coming out of the security hut.A lot of great memories and sad to see it closed now for good.God bless❤
