    If I had a classic car of that value, it would be locked in the garage
    As for the automatic bill payment, I would go online and confirm if the money was deducted from my account, then talk to someone at the bank

      People can easily break into a home garage. Whenever this soldier is not using it, the car should be in a secure vehicle storage facility.

      It would not suprise me if the HOA had done some sh*t to make the payments fail, such as changing what account it needed to be paid to and not informing him.
      "Due to some financial restructuring HOA payments need to be done to account Y instead of account X, this is only informed verbally at this one meeting"

    I have no problem with the wife publically outing him or the reverse. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.

    Even IF there was a debt, it was GTA for the HOA to steal the mustang, ESPECIALLY when the owner is in the military. The HOA deserves prison time, and the guy who bought stolen goods likely also deserves some time, as neither had a title to the car.

    so the buyer of the car is out $180,000 (or whatever he paid). OP got the money back and ordered to get car back. that makes no sense. It would sense for court to rule HOA refund the buyer the car and the buyer return it.

      The person who bought the car can sue the HOA also. OP got $180k in damages, and was able to get the car back because it's still his. When you sell something, you have to have title (ownership) for that item. Only the owner can transfer title. So, when the HOA illegal sold his car, they weren't able to transfer title. Basically, both sides of the transaction can sue the HOA for the illegal sale for different reasons, and OP gets the car back because, legally speaking, it never stopped being his.

    How can you sell a car without the title and registration? I don't think any legal auction house would.

    A friend has the same Mustang, he does his own mechanical and body work. His is now a sparkly green. I certainly can understand. He also has the original Mustang.

    Nobody leaves their very expensive and highly stolen classic car outside, its always in a locked garage, has to be a fake story

    • @Animeaddiction
      @Animeaddiction 25 днів тому

      No. People can leave their car outside, as long as it's on their property. And the HOA would have broken into the garage anyways. What the HOA did was trespassing, illegal seizure of a car, aka grand theft auto, plus selling a car that didn't belong to them. Those are felonies. The buyer from New York had basically bought a stolen car, so he had to return it.

      @@Animeaddiction they do get stolen , any car worth a lot of money usually kept ins garage or a carport ina locked backyard

    • @Animeaddiction
      @Animeaddiction 25 днів тому

      @@califdad4 Again, a locked garage or carport, wouldn't have stopped that crazy HOA. If they were willing to illegally seize and sell a person's car without his permission, then what makes you think a garage door or locked fence is going to stop them?

    • @Animeaddiction
      @Animeaddiction 25 днів тому

      @@califdad4 And you missed my point and the point of the story. The HOA trespassed, stole and sold his car. Whether or not OP locked his car in the garage is irrelevant. The HOA would have either broken in to get the car or worse, sell OP's house.

    I do not doubt the HOA Mustang story happened, but I have some doubts over whether the person telling it is the person it happened to, as some things don't make sense. One thing that is odd that if the sale is invalidated, then the HOA would have to pay it back if the car is not retrievable. If anything, the money would have gone back to the "trust fund baby" first. If the car was out of the country or damaged, then the money would have gone to OP.

    Last: Why not change his family name & phone number and move to another city ?
    What a PIA of a dad (Pain in the A). Was the dad dropped on his head as a kid? Most Indians want sons. So if the dad avoided taking his wife to the hospital after she delivered a daughter the first time !

    So you got paid $180k AND got the Mustang back? & the guy who paid $180k for a vehicle got nothing? Doesn't make much sense to me, either you would get the car back or the value of the car, not both.

    • @califdad4
      @califdad4 4 місяці тому +5

      Fake story, with the way those are stolen, who would leave a classic car like that outside, it would be in a locked garage with a alarm

      @best1terrie 4 місяці тому +2

      Actually, OP says that he put $180K into restoring the car. They never said how much the trust funder paid for the car. Either way, both could sue the HOA - OP for GTA & trust funder for what he paid for the car. And the bank should have been contacted to see if the recurring funds transfer went through or not. If it did, that's another lawsuit against the HOA. But actually, the entire story sound fake.

    This HOA sold his Classic Car after the HOA his auto payment and sale has did not work. The sold the car. I think the auto payment did not work. Someone knew in HOA how Classic car was worth and saw to make quick money and thought tell this guy fight for his country the the auto payment debt didn’t work. This backfired of the HOA because by court made returns the car from the guy from NY. I the guy NY knew someone in HOA board.
