First story: Imagine believing yourself the second coming of Jesus to think you can do as you want and everything has to go your way to the point of breaking in a party and when kick out try to crash it. Tow operators will almost always require payment in cash, the reason being that anyone who is towed for illegal parking is going to be mad, so if the tow company is paid on a credit card will be protested by the card holder and the tow company has no choice but to take legal action to recover their fees, but this can be a criminal offense of theft of services. Likewise, the vehicle owner can dispute a debit card charge, etc. Not all towing companies are dishonest, we've experienced being towed twice, although not for illegal parking. I fortunately do carry roadside assistance on my auto insurance policy, so the tow bill is paid by the insurance company. However, the insurance will NOT pay for illegal parking fines or tows because of illegal parking. I've never been a tow truck operator, but the tow truck driver does not usually have any control over who gets towed. That's determined by the owner of the real property upon which the illegal parking is done, since the property owner must request a tow, and towing company has no control over who gets towed and who doesn't.
Towing cars off Driveways that the owner didn't aloud Should be something that get someone in trouble. Plus a lawsuit in this matter will count for time miss working, the cab fee and the Car fee plus Lawyer fees due to them towing cars randomly from anyone driveway.
