Huck looks so wise every time lol. He knows something we don't
Huck got that look after trying too many kinds of strange food.
Just so long as there are no rats around
@@gaijillahimself908 If you are hungry enough, rats are edible. Have eaten them during survival training in the military. Not much meat on them, but there is enough that they will keep you going. Do not remember what they taste like, that was back in the 70's.
@@ShellyAnn1a I was talking about Huck. Rats drive him crazy
Diogo Bras He Knows That Leisure Rules.
I'm glad you didn't hurt the tarantula. They live a rough life as is.
They all should die
Bob!
God bless you brother! I pray tou are doing well! We love u sir!
Glad to see your still around
This channel is now my favorite nature show.
............Everything about the Desert Southwest is a never ending source of fascination to me ......From the brilliant starlit night skies to the thorny plant life and all the creatures and animal life that calls it home.......Thanks for taking us along for another visit.......
Bob, I seldom encounter people as at peace as you appear to be, it’s great to see. Been subbed and have supported your channel for some time, that will continue. Blessings friend.
Good on you for not hurting the snakes. I'm glad that you don't have the "kill first, ask questions later" mentality. It's always nice to see people respect them.
That tarantula was out looking for love. He was on the prowl.
Man.... the tarantula totally creeps me out. I can't believe you let that sucker walk on you. Same with the scorpion. I do appreciate your respect for life Bob...you set a great example for all.
When our little girl came home from her first day of kindergarten in Albuquerque, New Mexico, we asked her about what she learned. She told us she'd learned "if you stepped on stink bugs, mustard comes out." We told her to leave bugs alone!
Enjoyed video Bob thank you
The spider looked so beautiful
Huck keeping cool I like that. Thanks for sharing 👍👌
How peacefully and calm you handle those bugs, I woulda been screaming and running for the hills. Nerves of steel my friend.
Your bark scorpions seem almost friendly compared to ours in Arizona. Ours like to strike first and ask questions later.
Exactly what types of questions do bark scorpions ask? 😆
@@genepull5009 Let's see. " Now that I've emptied all of my venom into you, are you going to stomp me into mush?" Actually, I catch and release them even after they've stung me. Begone little warrior, you've won the day.
great video man... that centipede would make me want to sleep with a shotgun, that thing is nightmare material
Nightmare fuel im also scared of them also millipedes
Thank you so much for the upload bob. What an amazing video as usual. You truly are my hero and so educational. Thank you doesn't begin to explain how much your videos and way of life has helped me.
Well. . . crawdad traps are surprisingly useful on dry land. I'm gonna have to binge these videos
Good to see ya again, Bob. Come back anytime 🤠 and bring Huck, the kids love him. See ya
Getting ready to watch! Hope you and your daughter are well!
I'll take 0 deg over all the stuff in your buckets.. glad I'm on this side of the camera.. thanks for the show and tell! Love the adventure
Thanks Bob ! Your love and respect for our fellow creatures shines through !!
Good to see you. Wonderful video. Quite insightful, lots of fun.
I’m a little girl when it comes to spiders and i couldn’t even watch it crawl on you haha.
The only spiders I can stand around me are what we call the jumping spider, they do not look like any other spider around. All the rest, I cannot stand, especially if one crawls on me, I almost freak out.
LEXagFC I cover my good eye😎and skedaddle 👷♀️
This is a very informative video. Thanks for sharing!
I was stung by a wood scorpion as a child , almost a week of pain. And it killed my skin cells, so my finger was hard skin for 3 weeks. I will never forget this in Arizona.
Great video! Tarantulas and scorpions! Oh, my! ❤🌅🌵
*Fun fact:* Centipedes actually don't have _fangs,_ but venomous _claws._ Their front-most pair of legs have been modified as venom injectors. Same method, different mechanism.
Stranger still, the only other creature with venomous claws is the platypus. Yes, I'm a nerd.
Blackguard platypus? Really ?
@@BillRodgers2 Yes. Only males too, and they're only venomous during mating season. Spurs on the interior of the hind legs inject a potassium salt solution. The males use it to fight for territory, spurring each other repeatedly. Since potassium salt solution is basically _liquid pain,_ it's kind of a toughness test. Would not recommend, at least from the testimony I've heard second-hand.
Hell yeah.. a fellow Nerd.. Cool..! Great info. Thanks for sharing. Lol
I love brain porn lolol
Blackguard awesome. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
That looked like a western banded gecko.
I agree. such a cool find!
I thought it was a leopard gecko
Dick Chappy Texas banded gecko and they are of least concern and therefore not protected
No way I could keep calm with a scorpion crawling on my hand! Great video.
.............Great video, Folks....and very educational as to the animal/insect life that exists in the arid desert country of West Texas and New Mexico.......Your caring treatment of the harmless creatures is very admirable......and I have noticed you are also respectful of the creatures who can cause you pain and agony if not shown the proper respect. ...........Bob.....you, Shauna , Bre and Huckleberry have my undying respect for allowing us a view of the Great Desert Southwest with all its creatures and plantlife and still leaving it largely undisturbed .You are great stewards of the land........Peace to you always.................Your friend, Greg........
Herpetologist here! The gecko you caught is a Texas Banded Gecko (Coleonyx brevis), not a Western Banded or Leopard gecko as some have suggested.
Nice.
The gecko is a texas banded gecko. They’re the only geckos in the world that have eyelids. Pretty neat!
Awesome.
The West Virginia Herper oh that’s right!
There's 30+ species of geckos that have moveable eyelids, mostly in the family Eublepharidae.
Bob hansler is the bob ross of the wilderness
4:26, call the DEA. He gave a tarantula a rock.😂😂😂😂
missed seeing Huck. Great video as always. glad you are doing well.
Two thumbs up. I learned something new every time I watch one of your videos.
Thank you for this great video. Need more role models like your self. Bob stay safe and much love from Los Angels CA.
Hell yeah! A new video
I admit I'm a bit envious of how warm and nice it looks over there at the moment, here it's snowing. That tarantula and centipede gave me the chills though. We have centipedes and spiders in Scandinavia too, but they are about one fiftieth the size of those monsters.
Huck chilling in the water was a perfect ending :)
@mattroski007 You make a good point. I love the spring, autumn and summer here. Some like the winters too. But I don't like the short daylight and lack of open water fishing ^^
Nice to see you again my friend.
Love this channel he’s like the Texan version of bob Ross and Steve Irwin
For what it's worth man. I truly love what your all about. Between survival skills and teachings. An doing the best for our wild life. Much love coming from florida!
So glad your still here doing these videos
I live 50 miles south of Dallas
Great video Bob! I liked seeing all the creatures in the habitats you roam in.
New video from Bob! Always a treat.
What an awesome channel. Best find of the year this far.
Great video Bob :) you know an old timer told me years ago ,,,, that the proof of a great trap was when they can catch without bait and I'm really liking them minnow traps right now :) I like Huks advise on the dispatch of rodents. Peace and health to you all :-)
cool video! always happy to learn about and see foreign wild life. You and your family inspire me. Cheers as usual from Austria
I learn so much from these videos; I really look forward to watching them. Thank you so much! 😊
What a cool video. Its amazing what you can catch with those minnow/crawdad traps. I love that survival card at the end. Those can be really handy in a survival situation i bet. Thanks again for the upload
I've had one of those traps for years and years. They're also great as a live well (for keeping your fish alive). ❤🌅🌵
Oh My God!! I freaked out with the Tarantula!! I nearly threw my iPad across the floor!!
Huck is awesome. He`s so chill.
I appreciate your respect and admiration for ALL nature. It's rare out here in the West. Many Westerners are taught irrational hatred for many animals.
I live in Michigan. Pretty much well lived here all my life without traveling. To see some of these creatures you catch there in the desert it's pretty cool thank you
Great video thanks for sharing the knowledge of the creatures in your area and also promoting trapping humanely
Lol this is more like my results when I did this in my front yard last year. Our front yard is an acre of forest and I wanted to see if I could trap anything and all I ever got within months of trapping was a juvenile Yellow-Bellied Water Snake. Cool, but I was definitely hoping for more. I guess it just depends on location. I did catch a bunch of other interesting things like you did in this vid. Keep doing these they are awesome!
love ya bob, glad your doin well
So happy to see the videos coming regularly again. Love this channel
That's a massive centipede! Great video as always Bob!
Have used the crawdad traps for many years to catch crawdads, but never thought to use them for catching snakes or other critters. Used to trap critters on my property using drift fences and a partially buried 5 gallon bucket. Have 12 acres of semiarid Great Basin land in Oregon. Set up several the first summer I owned the property to see what types of reptiles lived on it. Fortunately, no rattlers were caught over the week they were out, plenty of bugs, spiders, lizards and a few harmless snakes and one scared little Nuttall's Hare. All released back to roam my property. Enjoy your videos, have not seen one for awhile. Please keep them coming. - - - //es//A 70 y/o Avid Outdoors Lady
I just found your channel and enjoy it v.m.
You are very knowledgeable and easy to watch...I've been praying for you sight, and will...
Stink Bugs. I was in a Little League baseball dugout one time and 2 big ones were crawling across the floor. I'm a "country boy" so I knew to let em keep crawling. One of the "city boys" stomped em before I could speak. We piled out of the dugout like the firealarm had gone off. Team manager didn't have a clew but he did know the third baseman had a funky odor about him. I laughed so hard. Dugout was ruined for the day. We were down by 3 in bottom of 4th of 5 inning game with the top of their line coming up so manager forfeited the game. Skunks don't have anything worse than stink bugs for the size.
Glad to see you're doing well!
I enjoy watching you trap snakes. The tarantula was cool and the centipede was the stuff of nightmares!
great video as usual~ love seeing the diverse wildlife in the desert~
Wow that centipede was amazing!!
Great content as usual, I especially appreciated the scout hat and shoutout to local scouts!
Always great to see you in action Bob! This was a fun (and familiar critters) video to watch as I live in Southern AZ. I admire you respect of desert life. Yeah, some seem pretty scary to alot of folks but as you say, they all part of nature and many are beneficial around human habitats.
My best to you and yours.
You are awesome Bob!!! Love when ya post vids
Horny Toad!!!
Thanks for displaying him, Bob.
I recall chasing them 55 years ago in SA. They are almost wiped out.
Living in Austin, '85 - '11, and in or near the reptile business 10 of those years, I saw exactly zero.
That was such a beauty to see still out there, wild.
Fire ants have nearly wiped them out, as they stand still while ant attack them when they climb an ant nest.
Been hoping to see a new upload from you, Bob. What a great sampling of local wildlife!
Awesome video!!! Ty for all your informative input...👍💕🔥🌟
Happy to see you're back!
Great video. I love all kind of critters, but that tarantula... Nope! Ain't gonna do it!
Ordered your signature card for hubby's Christmas stocking. That thing is great quality, and he will love it. Mama needs one now! 😉
Every upload is a fun learning experience, I love this channel
Another instructive Bob H video! Keep them coming please!
great video! Thanks for the knowledge
Awwww that’s nice 😊
I lived in Phoenix for 2 years and wandered the desert in search of critters for fun. What I found: Chuckwallas, baby Zebra-tail lizard, baby Desert Tortoise, young Big Horn Sheep, Rattlesnake staring down a Jack-rabbit, Tarantula, huge Bull-frogs at night, Clark's Spiny lizard, Mountain Lion (I could hear it but not see it - it was stalking me). Lots of things out there, but often hard to find. I'm sure they see and avoid us before we find them. Those traps sure make it easy.
So good to see you well, Bob! I have a problem with snakes (don't like them, fear them, have a urge to kill them on site) and to me watching your videos is an mind opening experience, as always. Best wishes from Brasil, land of the Cascavel, Jararaca, Coral e Surucucu!
First time viewer, enjoyed it. I have spent years in the desert if Utah catching critters and doing rattlesnake rescue, good on ya. Stay safe.
Love it Brother! No one's happier to see you back on YT.. aside from yourself of course! :0)
Get this man his own show!!
we enjoyed your presentation. we viewed a program about the eastern diamondback rattlesnake ; purported to be the largest species of rattlesnake in the world . the program scientist had one over 8 ft. long.
I’d like to find one some day. Not far enough East here.
Good video like always, Thanks Bob
Good to see ya back man Great video !
Now that was a great video. Tha is Bob. Hope your well
Hi Bob from Detroit I'm keeping you in my prayers
Really nice video Bob, both relaxing and interesting.
Great to see you doing another video. Loved it. Seems like a bumper year for stink bugs. We have been overrun with them here in Alabama this year. The stink bugs here look different from those.
come on guys bob hansler needs atleast a million subscribers
Here in Australia, we just bury a deep bucket/bin to its lip in a sandy area, with a piece of canvas or tarp 10 feet or so long and stake it so its vert and taught so it goes over the centre of the bucket/bin. Snakes, lizards mice whatever just run along the tarp canvas fence till they get to the bucket and fall in. So simple and will just keep on working, great way to see what lives in a area.
Good to see you Sir!
They have a centipede in Afghanistan that has the same venom of a pit viper but not enough to kill you. One tagged a friend of mine in his bed, it got him on his right thumb. I have never heard a grown man cry like that. The medics pumped him full of pain meds until they couldn't push anymore for fear of killing him. He was sick and in severe pain for a week. Centipedes are not to be messed with.
Another awesome video Bob!
Awesome!! Keep doing what you’re doing!
I really enjoyed your video. Glad you are selective as to the critters you release. You have a good narrative tone.
Great video. I love all your stuff and all that you do.
Yes it HUCK and that bob guy... lol. Jp another great video!!!
Totally true.
Bob Hansler it’s true another great video!!! Thank you keep it up sir!
Love the channel. Hope your eyes are getting better each day.
