Sean me too, you might like my comment, what i said about being in the rain, in fact it was a storm when he played in Wellington NZ when i saw the 4th of all his World tours i did witness, The Reality Tour 2003. It made me think of Blackout and those lyrics, "And i'll kiss you in the rain... Kiss you in the rain.. Kiss you in thuuhh rain".
I remember he looked at me straight in the eye in the back row of the stadium and said "I love the smell of Wellington in the evening" and then sang every song in his set to me. There may have been some other people present in the stadium, but mostly it was just him and me [and the other 25,000 people he was making eyes at].
Yes, i was there in Wellington too. I caught a ride by car from Auckland with friends who were staying with their family and i couldnt find anywhere to stay. Had to survive 2 desperate nights on the streets in the fury of a storm. When David took the stage the rain was so bad it was going horizontally and it was the first time ive ever seen The Starman wearing a hoodie to handle the rain. It made me think a lot about his song that i absolutely love, Blackout. Those lyrics of "Get me off the streets, give me some protection" and "And i'll kiss you in the rain".
I know the feeling!! The third time I was blessed to see him was at the Chili Pepper in Ft Lauderdale, FL on Oct. 8, 1997. That club's max was appx 600 and there were probably appx 8 or 900 people in there! I went straight to the dance floor area where I could see him right there! Right in front of me with these speakers that were almost taller than me(5'3")lol...I remember what I was wearing and every other detail about that night. I have read those sets that night were the longest David has ever done. I had no concept of time, I know you know what I mean.😉

I took my 5 and 6 year old daughters to see Moonage Daydream on Saturday "it was their first time at the cinema". They absolutely loved it and so did I. Every time there was music they stood and danced. It made me so proud to know that I had passed a love and understanding of Bowie onto my two beautiful girls. May his music and message stand for the remainder of all time.
David Bowie was such a big part of my life, my dad went to the same school and when I was growing up he would talk about him. Loved his music as a boy and now at 58 I still do but I have the highest adoration for a man that had such talent. He will live on forever to us Kooks xx

What a Blessing! I consider myself lucky to be a GenXer and to be able to say that I stayed up late to watch him play at Live Aid on my TV!! I find that ALL of his albums are contagious like Stardust🌌⚡✌
I feel very lucky to have heard David for the first time back in the early 70’s and also to have seen him perform live in San Francisco on his Moonlight tour. I was up near the front of the stage, so close I could have touched him if I’d have tried and it actually was a little bit scary because of how wild the crowd became. I lost my shoes, my brother and I got separated by the crowd, and I was afraid of being trampled. It was an outdoor concert and the night was cool but because the crowd was so tightly packed, I was sweating from everybody’s body heat and my hair was dripping wet! Somehow I found my brother when the concert was over and we got home safely, but it was a night I’ll never forget!
The song that started my Bowie journey and a wonderful version of it too. I love lots of different types of music but Bowie, he really was, is and always will be the best.

¡Cuánto se echa de menos al Duque Blanco, su música siempre me eleva y me transporta... Una maravilla de canción!
I remember playing the "Let's Dance" cassette on my boom box when it came out thinking I was the coolest kid alive
I can already see myself sobbing my heart out at the end of the movie, it’s gonna be glorious and emotional. Can’t wait !! 💖
You know what's funny? Me too! But I'm not sure if it'll be sad tears, happy tears, hunky dory tears or just sheer bliss, you know? :)
I expect I'll sob the whole way through. I think I'll go at least twice as it's the only way I'll manage to actually see it.
@@Chir0n I think it will be a mix of many emotions, resulting very moving and epic 💓
I saw it last week. Holy moly it was amazing. The most magical cinema experience ever. Moving, inspirational, motivating and bittersweet and beautiful. Held back tears during the beginning because it was really powerfull and emotional. And if you see it, stay until after the credits
@@ingdanify what's after the credits? I've been twice but didn't stay. Do I need to go again?

Omar Hakim is such an incredible drummer! Although the album is hated on by many Bowie Fans, it is full of such great and weird pop music. Love the remix.

@@annev5932 ...Of course the song "Tonight" was written by David Bowie & Iggy Pop for Iggy's album "Lust for Life" in 1977 in which Bowie sang, played on and co-produced also! ...Then later Bowie recorded it for his album "Tonight" in 1984! ...Both great versions! ...Have you heard Iggy's version? ...as it is great and in case you haven't here is the UA-cam link: ua-cam.com/video/i--aKHwPPJI/v-deo.html
Bowie lives
This song will always remind me that redemption is just one better contract away.
My mother give me a good piece of advise when I was a teenager in the early 1970s. ‘“Remember, he IS David Bowie, and you’re not”.
