This was the day of the London Bridge terror attack.A teacher (right before they got too the bridge) received a message from a parent and they turned around and escaped. They still to this day have no idea who the person was that jumped on. My friends cousin left the manchester arena early too avoid the traffic.They had got outside when they heard the bang ,got in the car and sped off too safety (people didn't know if their were more bombs hidden around) On the way home they saw ambulances and police cars whiz past. My uncle almost went on the train that got blown up. My mum was working in a Disney store and a shop next too them got blown up by the ira .They had too go help clean up the glass. If my mums shop was the one that got blown up,I wouldn't be here.If my friends cousin had left 1 minute later they would of been blown up.If the person that jumped on the bus was the terrorist they could of all died.If my uncle went on that train he would not be here.Im so grateful none of that happened.

I remember the overcast weather (for some reason?) and confusion of nobody knowing what was going on. They were saying there were power cuts and nobody knew why, I also remember the crowds of people walking around the streets at the time.
I was in London on the day it happened,. Thankfully I was well away from the areas where it happened. But I remember going out on the tube the next day and we weren't going to let the terrorists win. Myself and my friend were glad we forced each other out on the tube. We were very nervous but glad we did it.
It was terrifying. I was in London countryside when this happened and when I was in the texas airport it was showing on the news and my family and I had to shorten our trip to paris cause of this .

In Britain we discuss the incident and put measures in place to stop them from happening again in most cases but we don't express emotion about it. In america from the outside looking in it just looks like everyone is controlled by fear, patriotism and ignorance in Britain we have that issue but in america culturally its on a whole different level

i remember this.. it was winter in New Zealand about 9pm at night. I was working at a ski resort, it was staff drink night at the tavern, everyone was there drinking and laughing just have a good time. then the news broke and since we had alot of UK tourist working there. It went from a good party night to a very somber one. Couches brought out to the dance floor and news coverage played on the big screen. The drinking did continue tho and the respect from other nationalise was crazy we still drank and played pool in the corner but quietly as you can drunk.
I actually never heard this when it happened like I don’t think it was shown on news in Canada but I just probably didn’t remember it I was young I’d think if anyone would understand the multitude of emotions would be the US condolences to everyone affected in that day
