- Welcome to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Today we attend midnight mayhem Street legal racing. Is $25 per racer and unlimited racing until midnight. At this event, we still had the 20 inch wharf wheels. I plan to come the next event with 18 inch wheels to see if we can run up faster time.

Fun video but you are destroying your times by using Track Mode. Track Mode cools the battery which slows you down more than anything. Those headlights use basically no power. Leave them on but you have to take it out of Track Mode. Precondition the battery instead of running it in Track Mode and you will run 10.7s @ 126+ mph. Also put your Dragy on the rear speaker. The magnet in the speaker will hold the Dragy in place.
Great advice. Definitely not using track mode for the next event. I will try the preconditioning also. I was wondering where to put that dragy lol
@@VegasModel3 just leave preconditioning going until the “preconditioning” word disappears. Leave the A/C off. You shouldn’t have your A/C on even in the staging lanes. It drips water and makes the track slippery.

Amazing daily driver performance. In track mode, are you able to send all power to the front or rear, so that you can do a quick burnout to clean tires off and get a perfect launch?
I was really wanting to see how fast you pulled away from the Model Y Performance in first race. Not just the numbers. Bummer.

Apparently you don't want to be in track mode for optimal performance, as it cools the battery temps and you want higher temps for more acceleration, which you can get by preconditioning a few minutes before
Exactly was really just testing it out. Next event will not be using track mode.
High temps + high current = accelerated chemical aging of the battery cells. Track mode keeping the battery cooler is to prolong the life of the pack.

Absolutely I’m going to have more cameras for the next event. Track mode does actively cool the battery and drains it fast. I didn’t like how I couldn’t do the fullscreen to see the visualizations so next time will not be using track mode.
@@VegasModel3 are you on the stock P-Zero’s on 20” wheels that came with the car? If so, how do you like the staggered set-up? I live in northern Idaho and can see some snow, so I’m torn between purchasing a set of Michelin Pilot Sport All-Seasons and spending more on a dedicated 18” or 19” wheel set-up wrapped with Michelin X-Ice. Do you have any advice on which route you would consider?
@OrdainedPrepper yes running on the stock 20s with the P-Zeros. The more and more I use the staggered set up I like it. These wheels are probably the best stock factory wheels from Tesla ever
Which 18” wheel have you used on your 2024 M3P? Have you featured it on any of your videos? I’m thinking about getting a set of dedicated winter set-up.
@OrdainedPrepper yes exactly. You’re gonna want to have 18 inch wheels for a great winter set up. They do run a little bit smoother you get better efficiency but they just don’t look as good as the beautiful 20 inch warp wheels. Other vids show that track mode makes it slower.
I have to agree because of the amount draw from the battery. You tend to lose a lot of battery fast I noticed. Plus the added draw during the run.

I was waiting for you to put it in sport mode. Performance seemed the same though. Did you feel any difference in sport mode?
I really didn’t feel any difference in sport mode for the handling. Too much going on to really analyze it. I learned a lot at this event. The next one should be even better.
Where did you get your tint done in Vegas ?
I used to living low Mobile Window Tint. 702-371-5773. Did an amazing job. It’s mobile and great deal. Ceramic tint

Grow up !. It’s a bog standard car that runs 10’s all day every day. Not an over tuned 4 cylinder that can explode at any minute.
