Hello Shadow, I saw your comment on one of our videos, great to hear you like it and it arrived :-). They shipped from HK not AUS. If we made it in Australia, it would be about $350 AU. They should be retailing in NZ next year.
Hi Mark, it has a common degree scale and Rise and Run scale on the front, plus a hip and valley scale for each of the front scales on the back. So yes, for your jack rafters, you would use the degree scale on the front outside perimeter.
@@theetheeyog9878 Yes, every penny. As a general carpenter, sometimes handcutting a roof marking out tools are essential and a good sliding square is something I pick up many times a day. I have had a few over the years but so far this is the best. I will be ordering at least one more so I have one in the van and one in the workshop.
I'd love to hear your follow-up thoughts on this tool
I have one coming I ordered December 28 2018 so delivery is still fairly slow I live right next door in NZ

Next time please turn down your RADIO in the background because it was hard to hear you talking over the radio noise....
I can see scales for commons, hips, and valleys. But what about jack rafters?
Yeah, it doesn’t make the coffee either 😐 but there is a imperial version and that has different scales 👍 , I haven’t checked that one out.
