Yoga for Abs for Greatist (10 Min) - Yoga to Strengthen Your Core, 10 Min Ab Routine

- Quick Yoga for Abs workout! Feel your core get fiery-strong in just 10 minutes.

We start on hands and knees to build heat and bring our awareness to our deepest, lowest abs (we can't work 'em if we can't find 'em). Then we flow through planks before hitting our hardcore ab time with a fun crunch series on the floor.
-4 bicycles
-Legs straight out in a Pilates style V (twice)
Repeat!
Remember to stay lifted the whole time and draw your abs down and back.
When you shoot the legs up in the air, remember to use your exhale to draw your abs down and back. Pulse up a little bit more and more each time. Forget about making a big crunch or sit up movement, just focus on exhaling and drawing your abs down. Control is always better than big movements.
Assuming you make it through that, enjoy a delicious moving bridge and backbend to stretch out the abs we just worked.
Enjoy a solid plank to round things off (should feel very different this time around) and you're done.
Do this yoga for abs series 2 - 3 times a week along with other yoga and cardio exercise for the best results.

Just had a baby a few months ago and slowly getting back into shape. This kicked my butt and I hate doing abs usually but this was short and felt very effective. Will be doing 4x a week! Thanks!

I have been trying to put together a good yoga sequence for quick morning workouts before school and this is for sure on the list
This is great because it's so quick, yet really gets the blood flowing and I can really feel it. Adding this to my every day routine since I'm slowly working on getting back into the shape I was in when I danced.
I have to say I have been doing these quick toning workouts and they seem so much more intense now than when I first started practicing with you. I think I am focusing much more now. Awesome ab workout. I also just did your quick seat workout before this I feel so empowered. So much Love - Namaste!

I have been doing this 2x a week for a month now on top of shedding fat from a clean diet and I am seeing definition in my abs I didn't even see before I ever got pregnant. This video is helping me get a better post-baby body then I had pre-baby body. No joke.

I love your yoga workouts Brett 💖 and recently I'm working on my abs and thighs. But I have a problem with holding my neck in midair with the crunches. It really hurts. I have been using your neck moves to sooth the pain there. But do u have any tips for doing the abs moves while avoiding neck pain? Appreciate your reply. Good day 😊
I love your videos! But I have some issues with my shoulders and holding plank for more than a few seconds causes too much pain to continue. Do you have anything for beginners on strengthening the shoulder muscles? Or any recommendations that may help me? Thanks!

Doing 5000 crunches a day is not even as effective as yoga. Today I didn't have much energy so I didn't want to do crunches.
I was searching and searching for a abs video without wasting my energy. As soon as i saw your video, it was better than crunches.

I do ten minute yoga routines in the morning to charge up. Although I'm sure this is great for some, this is DEFINITELY not what I'm trying to do at 6am to wake up. Maybe I'll try it for a workout though.

My 62 year old body has trouble with ab work where my legs are perpendicular to the floor. My flexors come into play more than my lower abs.
Thank you Brett. I'm going to assume that you don't have a fear of heights? LOL That's almost all that I could think about. There's no railing or anything, either. One wrong step......ahhhhhhh. That being said though, good practice.

3 commercial breaks in a 10 minute video? That's a major distraction. I don't have that issue with other instructors on youtube.
Too much talk and too little action with this one. I understand that you talk through to keep us motivated but sometimes it just feels too much.
