If you use mainly for sling-style carry, the buckle can be zip-tied to prevent someone from unbuckling it and running off with it (more likely to happen when exiting a crowded subway train or station). If there is enough of an opening in the male side buckle prong - the visible portion when closed - a smaller zip tie can go in there, or a twist tie from a loaf of bread etc., not as strong as tying the whole buckle together by going through the open portion of the webbing slots, but less annoying because zip ties tend to curve a lot. Zip ties can be removed with nail clippers, and twist ties ... duh, just untwist them. So the change isn't permanent. You can even tie the two halves together with dental floss!

It shows that you've been learning about sewing and stuff. You've been mentioning stitching and other fabric touches. Nice!

I am looking more for a packable hip pack, I would not use it at my destination since I have a Patagonia Atom, but I have gotten interested in the the idea of emptying pockets at TSA.something I can wear under my coat, and have some necessities on the plain, like some diabetes supplies.

What do you call these kinds of strap adjusters? I find them to definitely NOT be a quick adjust system
