I'm glad to know that you're still alive mainly because the selfie you took with the backyard scientist hope you make videos soon and congratulations to your job
Hey i noticed yo had not uploaded for a long time. I really like your channel and i think that many people do as well! Not sure why you are not uploading any more, but i think we all are waiting for your next video. To be honest you inspired me to make my own channel and it is lots of fun not only filming , but also making the projects. Hope to see your next video! If not remember that the videos you have made are one of the best on youtube, and you have teached and inspired lots of people! Thenks for everything, hope everything is going well for you!
Just saw this guy tonight and find him interesting to listen too. He's smart, friendly speaking and easy to listen too. I hope he posts some more videos soon, but I see he's trying to get his life together at the moment. That is the important thing to do at this time of his life. Congratulations on the Magazine Article, can't imagine how you felt when they contacted you.
I grew up not far from Pittsburgh, went to PSU for mechanical engineering, and have been out for over 20 years now. I’ve worked with other engineers from almost every university and of every background. The point being that I feel that I can identify with you. There’s something about growing up in that area, where most people from the outside world see economic hardship or limited possibilities, I see the opposite. There’s a work ethic and a resourcefulness that is missed by many and which carries through life regardless of where you end up. I’m a new subscriber, found you through looking for info on lost wax casting, and have watched limited videos so far, but can tell that you have great potential. Keep doing what you’re doing, keep exploring your interests, keep promoting yourself honestly, and things will continue to happen for you. Best of luck.
So i was noticing how an automotive AC compressor is made, and I'm pretty sure you'd be able to make a 10 cylinder two stroke engine out of it, it already has inlets, outlets, pistons with compression, and reed valves.
it was great seeing you and your engines at NYMF! despite the giant hydraulic hand and the blacksmithing demos, your booth really stuck with me! keep up the good work, man!
Great shot work on new things and congratulations but still think big and have it worked on your way and then the world will have good engineers who actually know stuff
Congratulations dude! New job and a sweet magazine article! Have to admit I'm slightly disappointed though, I thought you were going to say that your new job was going to be product testing and development for JB Weld 😉😂😂😂😂
Congratulations Joe! Keep an eye open, there is a Cabin Fever event this time of year in the area. They often have steam engines and such. Who knows what ideas you might discover! Nuts, nevermind. It was last weekend. Thought it was in early Feb, sorry.
Congratulations on the write-up and the job! So, this is what ya been up to! Cool! Hey, got an idea. Not sure what sort of robotics you are installing, but maybe you can use what you learn from it to apply a newer compressor built engine into some sort of robot and get that featured too? Just an idea and I know with all you got going on right now, your plate is loaded. But I think it would be a cool project.
good luck with the job and apartment . note make use of makerspace to make noise . they frown on that stuff in apartments . however building continues :)
Dude, big congrats! I've followed you since your flyback joule thief. You've made it really far since there. I've tried making some videos and understand the amount of effort you put into them. Good luck and have fun exploramenting ;)

Hi makerj101. I am thinking of building an ic engine like your older one you made. Would you be able to let me know how you made your spark ignition for your ic engines??? Thanks
Guys I think the reason why he's not posting that much anymore since it's been 1 year is because well his new job is taking a lot of time that's why you can't do videos.
Hey man i have a question: how many hours (including drawings etc.) did it take you to build this engine? I'm from germany and i'd like to attempt building one myself, but my holidays are not 3 months like in america... Greetings from germany and sorry in case my english is bad :P

JDG Industries he has literally worn a cabin fever shirt in a previous video
Nick DiFilippo sorry, never noticed. Though, considering the move, I wonder if it's the same one?
It would be really cool if you made an updated steam engine with a very detailed in depth building process, like your IC engine!
