  • I’ve been asked so many times to explain how I ventilate my tents in a little more detail hope this helps. I’m currently using a 6 inch ac infinity inline fan and carbon filter to ventilate my 5x5 grow tent.

    If smell isn't a factor, like with my grow, would it not make sense to just completely omit the carbon filter entirely? I do almost the same setup with positive pressure. I have my tent out in my garage which in the summer can get pretty hot here in AZ but I have a duct with inline fan pushing air from my house into my tent. The wall plate the duct connects too in the house has a 1/2 thick activated carbon fiber pad filtering my intake air. Nice and clean, no bugs get in and cool air forced into the tent. Inside the tent is another duct with inline fan to pull hot air up and out the top. I have my humidifier hose injecting moisture into the intake duct just before it enters the tent to help better pre humidify the cool air as well. All inline fans are running pretty low with the intake fan pushing a little harder to slightly inflate my tent creating pos pressure. It works amazing!! Even on the hottest days it stays roughly 77-78F.

      Yeah in your situation you could easily get rid of it I run a 4x4 without a filter 24/7 some people just don’t keep up with cleanliness so if you do get that filter out you’ll be just fine

    Would I be okay to do this and open one of the bug/air mesh filters on the sides?

      Yes but be careful with the lights on outside the tent when it’s supposed to be lights off in the tent. That big opening will let in a good bit of light

    How in the hell do you manage to keep temps below 70 in Florida??!! What temp are you running in your house? I’m thrilled if it gets under 80 at lights on 😆😥

      No matter what state your in it’s all dependent on your lung room and hvac system as long as they’re sized right you’ll be able to control temps easy

    This does absolutely nothing for smell, in fact youre. pushing the smell forcefully out of the tent. Its also not fresh air considering you're recirculating the air back into the room.

    • @florganicsorganics
      @florganicsorganics  2 місяці тому

      Like I said in the video this is not the most efficient way to control smell. It’s not for smell really at all. Yes it helps and no the air does not recirculate if you ventilate your lung room properly but that’s another topic that wasn’t being discussed here this one’s how to ventilate a grow tent not your lung room….

    Also by removing the inline fan and filter allows you to bring your lights all the way up

    #1)You're taxing your fan's cfm rating with that excessive ducting. #2)Venting out of the ceiling port is more effective and efficient than that side port. Besides,those side ports are designed for hooded light fixtures. Vent out the ceiling please!
    #3) purchase an intake fan and another carbon filter to scrub the fresh air supply and improve odor control in the tent room.
    #4) this is the most critical: that tent room needs fresh air intake and an exhaust path out of the grow room.
    #5) Every single watt from anything electrical in that tent room is generating heat (btu's) and big plants rain humidity. There is no controlling high heat and high RH if the tent room is not vented. Thoughtfully designed HVAC is paramount to an optimal indoor cannabis environment. 💯✌️🦚

      You pretty much described how my lung room is set up. I exhaust from the ceiling in the bedroom from the carbon to the roof vent in the attic no smell ever
