The cost for the monarchy is around a pound per year for every taxpayer, it brings in Tourism not to mention jobs and taxes from crown estates. Abolishing it would be a loss not to just our economy but our history, culture and identity.
Think of the money that could be saved if they lived more like the Dutch Royal Family.
Whilst I’m proud of my English cultures and traditions, unlike in years gone by, where Monarchs would fight in battle and be more hands on with ruling a country, I do feel that the amount of money spent on them for what they give back (bar being a sideshow for tourists to gawp at), is extortionate and unjustified.
