I have my Shopify store in fact I love it because it gives me a sense of ownership of my website, sort of speak, while 2 says ago I tried opening Etsy yet yesterday the store was suspended, even before trying selling,I made the apealing but it seems that any little mistake can lead to the closing of your store, I don't find that attractive though
My shop was suspended on Etsy too! Zero communication from them, and I don’t have any listings yet! The only conclusion I can come to is I owed $0.20 for a listing I used (then deleted) just to open my shop. My debit card is set for automatic payments yet they failed to charge my card for the .20 cents! I’m appealing it…but who knows if or when I’ll get my shop back! So I’m very leary to even use Etsy!
Hi Hannah, Great content. My budget is set at $1000 a day. I have a total of 265 listing. Advertising only 65 listings. Etsy was spending $200- $400 per day from the beginning of the year, it has drop to $30-$50 a day since March 1st. Average Click Rate for all 65 is 1.5% and roas average is 5%. Any ideas why etsy isn't spending more of my ad money?
During high season, you will see an increase of clicks as the month of October, November, December, really high but ways to increase the budget is by optimizing your listings or increasing your value propositions, or launching more products to have the ability to gain more clicks
Thank you much for your reply. I understand your reply. Still puzzling, etsy was spending triple of my ad budget when it was set at $300 and $500, based on same month one year later.
I'm the inventor and patent holder of the product that I am about to launch on Etsy and we can make custom items for others. I'm totally unsure of how to be a Production Parnter for others. Do I have to somehow register with Etsy as a PP, do I need my own app like printify or do I simply communicate directly with people who want us to make their design for them and figure it out from there? Please let me know if you know anything about this side of things. Thanks.
Etsy is a marketplace for makers to sell their goods it’s not a place to connect production partners to merchants so if you want to onboard clients you have to do your own marketing to gain sellers to use your services as a production partner
To clarify, Etsy is not gonna promote you as a production partner you need to promote your own services as a manufacture via social media, or have some sort of outreach team
Hi Hannah, Thank you for useful information. Quick question; I sell Christmas Ornaments and I have passed 10k sales in 2 Christmas seasons with over 200$k revenue. Do you think I should create a website through Shopify ? I know people are buying shirts, jewelry etc from websites. Do you think people would buy ceramic ornaments from my website if I drive traffic to it ? Thank you so much for your reply !
You definitely can try it’s all about the content so if you can make potentially viral videos on behalf of your products, it could probably work, but also test static images as well!
I am one of those adhd shoppers, I buy tons of stuff I don't need. When I want something I go to google and search for it, I usually click images and scroll and then go to whatever site has the things that pop out. Hope this helps you.
Hi Hannah. I just moved from Portugal to Florida, I run an Etsy shop there (digital products, more specific mockups) but I'm thinking of closing it to open a new one here because it would be a mess to do taxes in both countries. I just saw you video about creating a LLC and I would like to ask you a few questions: 1- Is a seller's permit (or Florida Resale Certificate) mandatory when opening a LLC or even as a sole proprietorship? 2- If I open a new shop as an Individual, would it be possible to change later to business and would they let me change the bank account (from a personal to a business one)? 3- In Portugal, we can also start as individual but when we surpass a certain amount of revenue, Etsy will ask us a Tax ID. Does it work the same here? Thanks in advance
1 - I believe that is only if you are reselling your products if you are hand making or selling POD or digital I do not think you need BUT I would ask an accountant since could be a gray area. 2- you can change your bank account as long as it is in the same country but if you switch the country of the bank account you may get banned 3- you can always stay as an individual but better in my opinion to be a llc

Yes, they are becoming more and more strict. It’s really scary! Thank you for sharing that insight.

Olá! Tudo bem? É impressão minha ou as taxas para portugueses é um absurdo?
How your cost breakdown is like for Amazon? Do you also run ads there?
I do not sell on amazon atm
Are you on Faire too?
used to !
So u make 1 mill profit a year?
No, that was revenue. Please see my full profit breakdown video in my channel! Where I go over year by year, my profit and loss
I love Etsy. It’s super user friendly. The biggest con for me though is not being able to connect it directly to places like YT and Spotify
yes this will never happen because etsy would not want you to process the transaction somewhere else
