The Best System We Found for Monitoring Liquid Levels in our Skoolie!

  • The "SeeLevel II" is truly the best liquid measuring system we found for our Skoolie! We had already installed TWO different liquid measuring systems, both of which FAILED long before we ever even moved into the bus. By comparison, the SeeLevel II was by far the easiest to install, and the price was around the same or less than the other failed systems we had tried. Now we can easily see the status of our pump, our liquid waste level, and our fresh water lever at the touch of a button!

    About Us:
Hi! We are Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1992 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40' school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty!
We're building a Tiny-Home-in-a-Bus for full-time living in the most adventure-friendly way possible! In other words, Bussy will not be parked in our driveway, waiting for weekend or holiday getaways... when we finish the build, we'll be packing everything we're keeping into the bus and driving away from this old house forever!
We plan to be boondocking the majority of the time, so you'll see that reflected in our choices throughout the build (100 gallon water tank, composting toilet, solar power system, etc). We'd love to have you stick around and follow us on our journey, throughout the Skoolie Build, and to Infinite Adventures Beyond!
    Mike & Kerry

Hey Mike, I’d bend that metal support strap you cut away from the tank (both sides). Road vibration might start to wear a hole. That cut off wheel leaves pretty sharp edges.
Or put some type of insulation in them.

Great video of a system that seems so easy to install and use. No worries about problems with sensors inside of a black tank and having to clean that out all the time. Thanks for walking us through the install. I really like the simple cut off tabs, just seems like a well thought out product.
Can't wait to see what new adventure is coming to the outside of Bussy.. 😁

Woman, put your bacon on a cookie sheet with a little bit of side edges. Just lay them out flat and cook. 350 degrees at least 12 mins or more until you get it to where you like it. No more scissors. You can cook the whole package as a rule. Love the videos. Keep them coming. Can't wait to see your first time out in Bussy. 🚌 🥓 💖

Every RV I've ever owned I've had problems with the readout on the level of the black water tank because of toilet paper getting hung up on the float system used to indicate the level because the float is inside of the tank ! If this system you just installed on the bus continues to work correctly I'm going to install the same brand system you just did in my RV. Thanks for sharing !!! Love yawls videos, excellent !!!!!!! When we purchased it’s replacement Airstream it had the old MicroPulse Tank Monitor system and didn’t work for the previous owners, so I purchased and replaced it with a SeeLevel II Tank Monitor system. I’m very happy with it,’s performance.

Really curious how this works on the ‘outside’ of the tanks, does it depend on the thickness/material they’re made of? What if it gets really cold? I want my drinking water tank in marine stainless steel, guess that wouldn’t work... 🤔 thank you for the detailed videos. I would argue with that handy men are very creative indeed, as some artists are very pragmatic in their thinking as well! 👌🎨🛠
