    I was surprised by the flat pre but do find myself flatting every now and again. That said, Coelho wasn't particularly out of line with his raise folds but it could have seemed like he was from her perspective if he was getting hands. Also think Coelho played great the entire time and his demeanor at the table was so relaxed. Would have been great to see him get some chips.

      she seems to like flatting in the BB when she closes the action. She flatted KQo in the bustout hand, she flatted Kings here. I wonder if she has a 3-bet range in the BB or perhaps just only flats since she closes the action.

      Doug did the bustout hand on his channel and used a solver. Brian Kim hand will likely be covered on his channel as well!

    A few questions. 1) Why not just shove AA with 10 bb? Doesn't this look weak and KK auto calls? 2) Why not limp shove AA because KK will most likely raise the limp.

    • @mrhumble2937
      @mrhumble2937 Місяць тому +4

      Well you can see she has KK, he doesn't know that. If he goes all in she can fold her bottom range.

    • @mbradycf
      @mbradycf Місяць тому +6

      you could just shove the AA. It makes more money on average as a min-raise because it allows other players to play a wider range of hands (which you want when you have specifically AA). In theory you have to balance that min-raise with some non-premium hands too. It's somewhat complicated, and if you'd rather just play a shove, that's fine.

    • @bb-zt8ve
      @bb-zt8ve Місяць тому

      the AA minraise is the best play in theory because bb should call a bunch of hands that would fold vs jam, and bb should still jam quite aggressively vs this open. solvers even minraise induce AKs and JJ off 10bb in icm spots believe it or not. on the other hand the KK flat is a (theoretical) mistake since it lets Ax bluffs realise equity, you dont get the stack vs QQ JJ AKs on some boards etc. As for limps, solvers dont play limp first in except for in sb even with icm, because of the benefits of taking the pot down preflop / not letting bb realise equity with any 2.

    • @justmusic2353
      @justmusic2353 Місяць тому

      The main reason for a min raising strategy is because u can VPIP more often and win more chips because you can mix in some raise folds that normally wouldn’t be in an open jam only range.
      Say you play jam only and your range is AT+ from UTG, A5s+. By min raising you can add raise folds with A4s and A9o and make money with them also.

    bad call from Foxen on the turn
    considering his stack size and how he bets both on flop and turn she is crushed 100%
    she also doesn't have any draw that can make a potential winning hand on river that can beat him and can afford the call on turn

    What about his overall line in general? Maybe this is because I'm a cash game player (who learned from Doug lol) but I think personally I would prefer constructing a range that gets it in on the turn. I mean he kind of played it like my average 2/5 opponent. Just seems like a weak strategy and if you were bluffing you'd stand to gain a lot by jamming turn. I'd personally mix on the flop between betting and checking with AA but when i do bet i would bet like 2mil and then probably mix again with AA on the turn. But overall on the turn I would be pretty aggressive by jamming a lot of draws and betting strong TP's purely and mixing with 2 pair+. I just think overall its tougher to play against and and since I'm a Doug fanboy I tend to prefer being as aggressive as I reasonably can be.

      yeah I personally wouldn't mind playing a Jam fold strategy on 11bbs no matter what the pay jumps are. I know the solver likes to have min raises but its going to make your overall strategy very complicated and hard to execute. If he has worked his ass off and studied like crazy then fine I guess its okay but based on what Mike and Arron said i didn't really seem like he was fully prepared to play in that way.
