Hi. I bought one. Put it on and took it off again. I don’t like he way it makes the watch stand off higher for the wrist. These G’s are bulky enough as it is, the nato seems to make it bulkier. All the best 👍🏾🇬🇧
i have a g shock 2100, love the watch hated the rubber strap so the watch sat in my drawer. got a set of adapters last week. they are made from cnc'ed aluminum, what a game changer, the angle of them fit my wrist perfectly, i put on a very thin nato strap black with a thin red line in center. its now one my most comfortable watchs and has turned into everything i had hoped it would be for a work watch, i dont even know im wearing it now. finding the right adapter is key as not all adapters are equal. i went with jays and kays adapters there a veteran owned company also , i find that to be a big selling point for me also.
Just bought the same one and had some fun installing the adapters also. Has to use the spring bar tool to push the bar in place. Once in place and the strap installed it felt a lot nicer then the rubber strap. Will buy different colors and patterns. I love it.
I did this mod. Used JackandKays metal adapters and a Wrist Candy nato. Turned out well. Wearing it as I type this. 😂 After 20+ years on the same ole factory band, the watch needed an upgrade.
I just got my gw6900 not too long ago and I love it! Quickly getting addicted to the gshocks and specifically the gw6900. I almost want another one. Keep up the great content!
I just ordered the same watch but with a green nato, I saw a photo on amazon reviews and it looked really cool, your idea is good too, black looks nice.
Thanks for the walkthrough. Just picked up one of these watches and I've never really been the biggest fan of the rubber straps that come on them. I had a little bit of trouble getting one of the spring bars back in place but the rest was pretty easy with the included tool. Much more comfortable now.
Yeah it looks real good I'm not much for native stress but I thought I think it looks really bad ass right now it looks real rugged Man yeah something you could walk through the jungle with that's reliable 👍
Can you cut off the extra (second) buckle? I would try that, if it's a bother. I ordered this band for my G-shock, and I'm going to cut that second buckle off, if I have to.
Absolutely, can and did remove the extra buckle…I’m still not sure why there’s an extra one on this band but it’s all good. Thanks so much for tuning in!
The key to adding a NATO strap to a GW-6900 is to get the Jay and Kay low-profile machined NATO adapters. Oh and buy a Barton NATO strap -much better than the Ritche!
The spring bars are approx 19.9mm end to end leaving only about 15mm clearance for the stock band which is why the adapter is required for a wider Nato.
I’d cut that second loop off with the two buckles run a lighter along the cut to seal end up and just run it as a single pass zulu strap…it’s not going to slide around with those rubbery adapters. 👍
If say you use a Dremel with a metal cut off wheel to cut off that second buckle why would you have to repair the strap? That second buckle would just come off.
Lol, full disclosure… can’t disagree, I’m running the stock band currently on this watch….but it’s always nice to have options, even with a G-shock. Thanks for tuning in!

Awesome combination, still running nato on this one as well from time to time. thanks for tuning in!
Does the adapter pop out when u drop the watch?
@@dimenysean304 It hasn't yet.

Very cool, that green one looks awesome too!
Jays & Kays makes metal adapters made for the square g-shock will fit gw-6900 way better quality and profile
Just Cut the double buckle strap just above the stitching and you have a single pass nato
Thanks for the walkthrough.

Very cool, thanks for the feedback, glad the upgrade is working well for you!

Nato straps do offer a great deal more comfort than some of the stock casio resin bands, plus they look really cool too!
It looks like it makes the watch sit too high on the wrist. It is still an interesting option though.
Thanks for your feedback and for watching!
I have and it’s a little high but much more comfortable and durable than the stock strap.

Awesome, thanks for the recommendations, I will definitely check those out! Appreciate you tuning in!
You don't have any description where to buy it
Here is the link to the strap featured in this video amzn.to/3EfSVo6
Thanks for tuning in!
What's the spring bar mm width?

@@nobetagear ok thanks
What’s your wrist size for reference? Thanks!
6-7/8 …thanks for tuning in.
@@nobetagear what if you don’t have the original spring bars from the original watch mine bent
cool

Good advice, thanks for tuning in!

G shock always look better on their own strap
Yes, but tbh nato straps are way better
I agree with the many others who say: don't do this.
Ali express strap is under $4 shipped.
Great feedback, thanks!
Makes the G Shock weaker. Fixed Bars! Spring bars are asking for a weaker G Shock.
Not all models have fixed bars. I wish they did. Spring bars suck
You need to have the Jay and Kays machined G-Shock adapters to make it complete. I love mine with the NATO straps.
The GW-6900 comes stock with spring bars though. What you smoking?
Thanx! Now I will be sure to not set nato straps on my g-shocks, looks horrible ))
Lol, full disclosure… can’t disagree, I’m running the stock band currently on this watch….but it’s always nice to have options, even with a G-shock. Thanks for tuning in!
Put it on a strap from the square G.
Thank me later!😀
