I was not wearing any watch for so many years since I got my first mobile phone. Just ordered the same model after watching you review. It's gonna be my first g shock ever. Thanks for a great video.
I recently got this watch after eyeing for some time now, and I have to say, it's a beautiful watch. I absolutely love it. It's probably the best G-Shock one can get. I may end up wearing it more than the GW-M5610U, which I happen to own as well.
After collecting around 13+ gshocks, I've finally gotten around to getting the GW6900. Definitely impressed even when compared to other models A true OG staple for sure!
I remember very well as a kid watching mi2 and how cool the dw6900 looked on tom cruise or years later when bradley cooper wore the dw6600 in american sniper this design always stood its ground no matter where it was used I think it is the definitive g shock
I bought a Casio G-SHOCK GW-6900NASA24-1 about a week ago, and I love that thing. But because it's a limited-edition version, I bought a used GW-6900 on eBay for $50 including shipping and tax to use as either a beater or mod piece. The NASA one can be the one I wear to casual or maybe even some formal events.
Man I love mine! Has damage from sparks from welding(dingle berries), I’ve gotten motor oil on it, I’ve swam with it several times, gone fishing, banged it around at work and none of it fazes it. It’s finally getting a nice patina on it, I own several Seiko and citizen divers, a couple of omegas but I always find myself throwing this bad boy on
Lol welding dingle berries! Mine does too! It’s going on 9 years, two batteries, three resin wristbands, one resin bezel replacement, and it’s STILL GOING!
I have two DW6900s and they've been the best watches of my last decade. Didn't buy others for about 10 years. Then got a Casio Royale. Lol Not solar, but now I wish one was.
Great review! This helped me decide on finally pulling the trigger on this watch which is my first G Shock. I think it offers so much value for the price. Thanks for this video.👍
Good stuff! I've owned a couple different Casio watches since highschool, mainly the mudman, and 2 dw5600 models. While those are great, they all have quartz movements. I wanted something that would be able to tell the time without needing a better change every decade or so, so I decided on this. I think because I'm in college, the one watch will be all I need, so the fact that it's solar powered is a huge plus. I'm a big g-shock fan so this was a no-brainer.
These are very difficult to find in the UK so I have one coming from Amazon US. I don't get why these come in the basic box as they have quite a high spec compared to others that come in the tin but as you said, it's what's inside that counts.
Years later... Those are the exact three models I'm trying to choose between right now. Just beginning my career as a commercial truck driver and need a reliable tool watch. Any advice from someone who's owned all three would be helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for the video. Got mine second hand and only replaced the battery for a new one. Now the G-Shock addiction starts to kick in as i'm looking for a GW-9300 (Multiband 6 version) or a GW-9400!

As my one was a gift, I can't bring myself to forking out for another one I went for the G-5600UE tough Solar, but very small from my Rangeman. Now considering getting this G-6900 Tough Solar as similar size to my Rangeman minus the triple sensor. I think I would be happy with it as it has all the core features I want.
