- Brandon Mccaghren of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu demonstrates the Flying Kung Fu Move, which is a super important of a fluid and flowing Rubber Guard game.
This move will require some flexibility, but mostly it requires dexterity. Learning how to move your body and stay in your side with increase your Rubber Guard abilities dramatically.
Let me know if this helps you and if you have any questions, post em in the comments!

I'm so confused. I thought this was called a Fire and Flip. Which one is it?
Honestly, just call it whatever works for you. But those are “technically” 2 different movements. Don’t sweat the names too much.
@@brandonmcninja Can you PLEASE explain the difference between Kung Fu Move versus Fire and Flip?
@@fatihokan hey! the flying kung you bring our leg by itself keeping the overhook, in the fire and flip you bring the leg into mission control position and flip it over with your left hand
Do you ever use the barnhook to set up the gogo clinch?.. I love using it especially when getting stacked but my competition is nothing compared to yours so I'm curious..🤔
Thank you for the tips as always!
1st lol
What flexibility exercises do you do to get that active flexibility high enough pull the foot over without the assistance from your hands?
It’s all about hip flexibility and mobility. Most people focus on the knee, but that’s not good for your body. Open up your hips and build the dexterity in your feet and legs; you should be able to work them like your hands.
Obviously that’s a long term project
@@brandonmcninja I've been doing lots of pigeon pose and can even put my foot behind my head, but I have to do it all by pulling with my hands. I'm looking for more "active" hip exercises if you have them.
Love these videos
Thanks homie
Seems impractical, slow and inefficient. If you don't have the flexibility to pull off that kind of pretzel move then it's useless. Why go through all of that, there's got to be a better more direct approach.
By that reasoning why learn a high kick if you need to practice it and stretch..why do anything if you have to work for it right?. .c'mon now your better than that comment are you not?.
@@brentluder795 I see what you're saying. Just seems like a lot of work to achieve that specific choke. But I suppose if you manage to learn it and find yourself in a position to use it. Then you have it available? Just wouldn't want to be resigned to be able to do things like that and have it be an option or not, solely based on flexibility. I'm not that flexible, so is it useless, pointless to learn? There in lies the rub. I appreciate the comment 👍
ua-cam.com/video/6uKdLJJlhqU/v-deo.html here you have a guy called Jeremiah Vance performing this technique in competition, does it look impractical and slow?
You only need an overhook to perform this technique, so I too would like to know a more direct approach than this.
