The instability in the Middle East can largely be attributed to the Islamic revolution, but mostly the creation of artificial borders after the French and British Empires were dismantled (Though we cannot blame France of the UK for this as they are technically separate nations to their previous Empires), and since then the USA has caused many of the problems through their crusade to bring democracy to places that may not be ready, or where democracy may not work and their hunt for oil.
I hope you, and everyone else who reads this who may have misgivings about the West, understands that the USA gave itself the title, Leader of the West, the Free World, and Democracy (not necessarily in that order), but just because they have the loudest voice, it doesn't mean they speak for all of us.
