- In this video, I decided to get out and stretch the ol' legs for a walk around BGC. Come along as I reflect on why I love Bonifacio Global City and what keeps me coming here. I'll tell you the things I don't like so much and if I plan to stay for a while.

BGC is comparable as Singapore or Miami while MAKATI is like Bangkok wild and has more character from modern tall skyscrapers to chaos and local vibes.

BGC is literally NEW YORK/Chicago but 10x Safer, modern, cleaner and more family friendly.
In a sense, some would agree. The safety is unmatched for sure
BGC, Makati, Ortigas, Entertainment City, Newport, Eastwood. Philippines is the place to be.
You can spend a lifetime visiting places!
Thanks again for this BGC tour Matt 🙏 I’ve always used my credit cards wherever I went here in the 🇵🇭 and it’s always accepted except for local markets and vegetable/fruit vendors. I prefer and shop in grocery stores so I can pay and use my credit cards. I stay away from both GCash and Pay Maya for safety reasons. Have a very Merry Christmas and take care 🙏

The golf course you were mentioning at 8:07, I believe, is the Manila Golf And Country Club, which is within Forbes Park, the most expensive realty subdivision/community in the whole Philippines. That area is already within Makati City. It is home to some of the richest people in the country. If you call BGC, as some people do, a bubble, then I could say, there are other bubbles sprouting out in Metro Manila and other places in the country.
Ahh right. Yes, it is true but I refer to BGC because of it's size particularly. You can walk across it and around it quickly. But it's a good place just have to spend time inside and outside I think
Everything you is near your area. BGC has 4 malls. It is peaceful and cool. If you have a condo right there, nice to live there.
Yes that is true. I think if you're a person that doesn't need to go far and you like to stay put, BGC is a good palce.
You Should Visit the Newport Area , Close To the Airport and Have a Big Resorts There … Resorts World Manila , They Open One in Las Vegas …. WOW The Christmas Decorations of BGC is so pretty….Visit The American Cemetery There in BGC …. ✌️👍👍👍👍👌💕🙏

You can eat authentic Filipino foods usually at parties hosted at home which are usually birthday parties. Somehow, the foods being served at the parties are usually not ordered by Filipinos at the restaurants. Filipinos tend to eat exotic foods (aka non-Filipino foods) when eating at restaurants.
Ahhh makes sense. I remember seeing a lot of local food offered canteen style deep in some neighborhoods. Just ready-to-go from the windows of people's homes.

Cool City Tour video. Well, basically, whole of Asian countries is like having two sides of a coin, Typical side and modern infrastructure in westernised style. A cocktail of hustle n bustle with cool harmony side. 🤩

The best area to live in M.Manila is in Alabang. It's like Clark it has a lot of space especially going to daang hari.
I keep hearing about it. I'll have to add it to my list of places to visit.

@@MattReardonVlogs Its located in Tanay, province of Rizal, a few kilometers outside Metro Manila. Try to Google it. Place is for those who like to hike in nature. Pretty sure that will make for a good content. Good luck!

def check out other areas of metro manila (intramuros and the chinatown has a way different vibe architecturally and culturally). there are other neighboring provinces u can visit if u rent a car or take the buses lol

btw have you tried the S&R food court yet? cheap and yummy its just like Costco in the States...theres one there next to St Lukes Hospital

@@MattReardonVlogs it's not a commercial area like BGC. It's a nice gated community for middle to high income families. Infront of it has a few commercial establishments.More or less 1 hour drive from manila.
