I love her comedic style. She purposefully lets you underestimate her and then just slams some witty, funny lines in your face out of nowhere.
It’s so different from other stand ups. It’s just a very interesting person telling a very funny and interesting story.

She's also the replacement voice of Missy on the Netflix animated series "Big Mouth". Jenny Slate originally voiced her, but when Hollywood started cracking down on white voice actors playing non-white roles, Jenny got recast. There were other series affected by this: The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, I think Bob's Burgers, though I'm so sure the only character they recast was Marshmallow, the male-to-female transgender character. I guess this change also applies to any LGBTQ character who's been played by someone whose heterosexual and cisgendered, which I didn't think still happened (the crosscast race thing, yeah, but not this), but shows what I know...

However, you cannot actually have a heart attack or overdose from marijuana. You would have to smoke 238-1113 joints in one day.

Guys.... I don't think weed is too strong. I will agree and say the weed has gotten significantly stronger, but maybe it isn't the weed, and instead the user isn't really prepared to check out their subconscious. People forget weed is technically a psychedelic, and not something that'll get you "fucked up" the way pills and alcohol and all that trash does.

I had spice once. I keep screaming "help help help" at the top of my lungs while I had my face in the morning wet grass. The last thing I keep thinking was that I was going to die and my parents would find out how I died... Then...I woke up in the morning, in a bed. I started yelling at my friend "why didn't you call 911, I was screaming at the top of my lungs for help!!!" He said "you weren't screaming, you were whispering for help" and proceeded to play me a video of me whispering aggressively for help. long story short, I'll stick to beer... That's the drug of choice now and forever for me.

OH MY GOD WHERE IS HER NETFLIX SPECIAL THIS GIRL IS HILARIOUS! I've never related to a comic this much, good to know I'm not the only one who gets panic attacks this bad when I smoke.
One time I ate edible chicken and I was high for three days. Great experience. Contrast to the time when I went to an edible party and forgot that everything was an edible (including the drinks) and had to walk home with a mob of imaginary people heckling me. Whew.
EVERY TIME I have an edible I end up recounting all of my mistakes and just doubting who I am as a person. So much anxiety!

She's good and she's able to do this even though she has an anxiety disorder. I don't have anxiety and i can't even answer the phone when an unknown number is calling without suffering flu symptoms. I wouldn't be able to do this. She is amazing.

It baffles me that one might not call for an ambulance or go to the hospital/doctor because they gonna charge you into bankruptcy.
I'm glad that she was fine otherwise this wouldn't have been as funny as this was.
I remember when I was 12 years old my mother fell off a small step ladder while hanging some curtains. Woman fell two feet and ended hurting her shoulder and ankle. She begged me to drive her to the hospital........I have never driven a car and had no idea where the hospital was I almost did it just because I wanted to help. Its embarrassing to think that taking the risk of having a child that has no driving experience was a better option in my mother's mind then being hit with the cost of a ambulance ride
I've never needed an ambulance but it's comforting to think that here in the UK I can suffer a problem, be rushed to a hospital and come back out again without incurring any charge beyond a potential Pharmacy processing fee of £7.50 if I'm prescribed something. That's healthcare, what you have is a crime against humanity.
About 2 years ago I did not want to go to the ER (with insurance it ended up costing $4000...that I did not have) because I had really bad food poisoning. Said if I waited 2 more hours, I would have died. Still to this day, paying the 4000 was harder then almost dying. USA USA
Last week my friend forced her husband to go to the hospital after a month of him being horribly sick, hardly eating and hardly drinking- he was skin and bones. He refused to go until he was too weak to protest because he knew an emergency room visit/overnight stay would cost a minimum of $10,000. They diagnosed him with diabetes and said he would've been dead by morning if he hadn't come in.
People shouldn't have to choose between debt and death.

One time that happened to me with a friend who lived upstate ny in the woods, was super cool at first then i thought i was in hell, i freaked out and was hiding in the bathroom on the floor without a shirt on and freaked out even more when he finally came to find me and started cracking up laughing. 😭😂

this is one of the funniest and most relatable bits of stand-up I've seen in ages! I once got so stoned off a single bong hit I convinced myself the weed I smoked was laced with cocaine, I had died, and my brain was set repeating the memory of the last few minutes of my life for all eternity. I swear I heard my name being screamed again and again. I thought of my parents, their daughter having died of a drug overdose. of my roommate, who after spending the weekend with her boyfriend in the country would find my dead, rotting body alone in my bed. that lasted about 20 minutes. then I realized time had passed and I was still alive, so I went outside to meet my friends and smoked more weed.

I am 42 seconds in and I am prepared to give this woman my life.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience like this. This past spring, I think March or April, right before I got diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety myself, I ate a huge edible on an empty stomach. Sadly, it didn't just turn out to be gas, and I didn't just think I was going to die, I though I'd *died!* Like, whatever I'd eaten had killed me and I was now on my trip to hell. And any time I tried to tell myself I hadn't, I'd think "That's just what someone who's died would say to themselves!" The whole thing felt like being awake during a nightmare. Worse experience of my life. After that, I only smoke once in a while.
So glad to see the massive breakout year! Bottoms, Spider-Verse, TMNT, Theater Camp, and the best Black Mirror of the season!
