By far this plugin sets a standard and I am still puzzled as to why Camel phat audio couldn't thrive off of this synth alone. I have Alchemy v1.25 exe. saved and backed up in several places; I simply will not EVER lose this plugin. It is my top choice of all time til this date. Looking for anything related to updates, manuals and tutorials that go in-depth concerning this plugin. 6 years experience with this plugin.
Great video! I've aways heard that Alchemy was a very powerful intuitive synth. Now that I have Logic Pro X, it's time to push this synth to its limits.
It comes bundleed with Logic Pro (only). It used to be available separately until Camel Audio was acquired by Apple. Also, in Logic the plugin format is AU (Audio Units). VST is a specific *format* of DAW plugin and people use it erroneously to refer to all formats of plugins for DAWs.
excellent tutorial/demo my friend! can you share the final result as a preset? i have tried for many hours to simulate this sound but mine quite honestly sounds like a dying cow. so finally i humbly had to ask :)
Haha sorry to hear that Ishiaha! Unfortunately I don't have the file anymore I think, I was just trying to show some techniques so I didn't save it I think. To be honest I think trying to re-create sounds can be a bit frustrating when you have less experience with sound-design (sometimes it can still be difficult with lots of experience as well! It would take me a lot of time to recreate this exact sound, whereas making a new sound that is similar but different would take me just a couple of minutes). I generally suggest to go with what you like in the sound, try to follow the direction that the sound is taking you into, in other words: Go with what feels right. It won't give you the same sound as what I had but it will give you something much cooler in a lot of cases, or just something different, which is always good :)
No...much more powerful than serum. Why does everyone think serum is so amazing, it’s really good for programming wavetable synthesis but that’s about it...I’d rather have Europa in propellerheads reason if I had to choose between Europa and serum.

Learning about new and complex techniques can be frustrating indeed, keep your spirit up Hans!
I only clicked because the title says Alchemy but thumbnail shows serum : p
Sooooo pretty much serum for audio files.
Nope, its serum on steriods

this is basically Serum
what are you talking about? Alchemy is not a wavetable synthesizer. Serum is. Alchemy is a sample manipulation synthesizer.
ah ok, i see.
Ugh, I wish I could give 27 thumbs down.
what is the best vst for sound design ?
Alchemy is hard to beat as a synth/sampler, but it is definitely not serum...serum is a wavetable synth
