There are a lot of basic and subtle tips in this video. I'm using other DAWs and equipment but there's a lot to help jump off into experimentation. Plus, I started listening while eating a two piece from Popeye's.
33:15 only half and hour into this video and it helped me understand so much i was still experimenting but instead of pressing random knobs that i had no idea what they did, i niw had understanding (at least basic one) of what they did
Hey, there is a song called "VVS" produced by "Opium Jai", which features some sounds that seem simple yet are very interesting. I feel like he used serum, but I'm not sure. It would be a good opportunity to teach us serum if you remade the beat (I've been trying to do so for so long I'm losing my sanity (please help))
Serum is expensive for sure, but you can get started with any of the built in synths in your DAW (live, FL, logic all have a variety of VSTs for you to mess with). The real advantages of serum are how many different options you have to link parameters, and also the wealth of tutorials like these that are out there for free. If you can spare 20 bucks a month, Splice samples offers a “rent to own” deal for serum. You pay it down monthly and get the code forever at the end.
If you aren't actually completing sounds your making on here and you have to pay $15 for some other video where you finish making these sounds then....this isn't really a "MASTERCLASS" now is it?

Make a video of how music producer make bpm for their track or how they decide their bpm
is there a less expensive program other than serum for sound design?
