@@barathkumark2 the update was launched for baleno recently please ensure that the software version you select in the website is the correct one, also format the pen-drive to FAT32 system from NTFS, ensure that you drop the mentioned files in the correct format (you can skip .bin and .json files) if it doesn't work, maybe try with a new usb

It took me 13 minutes flat to complete s/w updation from 04 to 07 .. 1 doubt though.. is it necessary to connect to Maruti Suzuki wifi to connect apple car play ? Apple car play via usb is instantly working but carplay via bluetooth is not connecting at all . After detecting mobile, it buffers indefinitely.
hey, just got brezza zxi and been using android auto and its working well. i have to say "hey google" everytime for voice commands on android auto which becomes a bother after sometime. i tried the steering wheel voice command button but it activates the system's inbuilt voice assistant rather than google assistant on android auto. any way i can use the steering mounted voice command button in android auto for google assistant???
hey shashank, apologies for such a late response. I believe the button is hard-wired for the inbuilt system and cannot be re-programmed for the android auto/ apple carplay, well definitely not in a straightforward manner

Was your version 66TA?, I Have 66TA so I downloaded 66TA.05 but nothing happened, when I click on software update, it says no valid update file p. I am not sure what I am doing wrong

once the update has been detected in the app, disconnect from Brezza's WiFi and connect to your internet WiFi to download the update. waiting for the update to be detected in the app is the main struggle. I would even suggest that you use method 2 since it has a lower chance of failing

hello, if you've already formatted the USB and it is in FAT32 file system, then i believe there is an issue with the USB, i suggest you try with a different pen drive, preferably a new one
unfortunately i am not aware of any announcements made by Toyota regarding any such OTA update, but you could try entering your software version in the website linked in the description or if Toyota has a dedicated website for its Infotainment systems, you could check on that. Maruti's website was mentioned in the Infotainment System User Manual and also in the Quick-Guide Pop-up in the Infotainment System

@@shahmeerathar Sir, everything goes accordingly from file trnafer to downloading of the software to the main unit but after 10/15 minutes the next window comes up blank and an error code appear saying downloading unsuccessful please try again.
@@sanjeevpathak6644 unfortunately it is impossible for me identify the root cause because of the error code, however i can suggest some basic trouble shooting try with a usb, if you are already trying with a usb then try with a different one, preferably a new one with over 8gbs of storage space, also ensure it is in FAT32 file system factory reset your infotainment system a couple of times before attempting to update and after each failed attempt, reset the system again you could try the first method using the apps but its a bit tricky and has a higher chance of errors if nothing works then you should contact your technician at your authorised service centre

There are 3 important points (1) Better to have Android 10 and above on phone (2) Phone should connect thru Bluetooth to infotainment system (3) Phone should be capable of connecting to Wifi in 5GHz band (Not all phones have this feature and only latest phones have this)

The smartplaypro sync didnt connect successfully at all inspite of bluetooth and wifi being connected. Tried with iOS and android phones. The bluetooth smartplay RCA icon does not get enabled for some reason . Tried restarting phones, app, car , deleting BT connections everything ! Have to try the USB update
even i struggled with the connection initally how it worked for me was: 1. phone had to be connected to car bluetooth and wifi 2. i had to have the app open on my phone where its showing 'no vehicles detected' 3. then i had to tap on the smartplay sync icon to enable it maybe try triggering the factory reset on the Infotainment Unit, it has resolved some connectivity issues for me

as far as i am aware, the update has been rolled out for brezza followed by the baleno it hasn't been announced for the xl6 yet, hopefully it will be announced for xl6 soon as well considering it is equipped with the same infotainment system

hey, its a matter of personal choice, whichever app feels better to use, more functional, you should use that i believe both of the maps should be compatible with the infotainment system because they have been developed for that purpose
@@shahmeerathar : Thanks for your revert.Actually I observed a glitch while I was driving yesterday. Since I have iphone with me so that naturally connects with Apple maps in carplay. And while navigating to a destination, route shown was different when I compared that with the Google maps application manually over the phone.So compatibility wise no issues, but apparently I rely more on the Google maps but haven't used navimaps earlier and hence was wondering to choose between the two.
Also one more question here - I received my vehicle last week, but am still unable to login into the Smart Play Studio app as it says mobile number does not match with VIN. So do you have any idea that how long does it take in this process?
@@BhanuKumar-wf9fv i have never used Carplay personally but i have a feeling Google maps are more optimised for Indian roads (but not better than asking locals for directions haha) as for the phone number registration I am afraid I have no clue about that, SmartPlay Pro or SmartPlay Pro Sync apps for ZXI didn't require any registered mobile numbers. I suggest you contact your dealership and get the issue sorted with the concerned technician asap
i doubt this is for older models, as far as i know, it is only available for gen-2 brezzas but you can check-in your system version in the linked website to confirm on your end
well, technically no, the engine need not be running, just the infotainment system has to be switched on, but practically speaking, i suggest you keep the car running to avoid any battery drain as the process can take anywhere between 15-30 minutes (excluding failed attempts)
totally depends on the driving style and traffic conditions, i have managed to get anywhere between 14-18 kmpl in city and around 20 kmpl on highways at 90-100 speeds
instructions from maruti stated that .json and .bin files should be there in the pen-drive with the .pkg file however people have updated with just the .pkg file
Man, the video was amazing. I just tried it with my Baleno Zeta that comes with SmartPlay Pro. It worked like a charm, faced no problem.I had no idea about these updates until I saw your video.

@@siddhantshitole9219I used the USB method. The phone method is tedious. the sync software doesn't even recognise the car, I used the USB method to avoid any problems. The phone method has problems because the server is sluggish, which is why I had to try at least five times just to download the file from the website. Before updating, I just deleted all of the connections. It took barely approximately 15 minutes.
So I connected by Baleno with the Smartplay pro Sync app, but the updates tab is not activated i,e update is not there only. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
Thanks for this, I owned zxi also, let me share my experience, firstly smartstudio sync app showed me baleno instead of brezza 😂, after update it got corrected, then i never connect that rca app for vehicle information let me tell you that smartplay studio app for vehicle information is not connecting after the update so if you know anything then please reply.
i couldn't understand your issue clearly but i suggest you: 1. delete both applications from your phone and reinstall them 2. factory reset your infotainment system in the car from the settings and then try a fresh reconnection between phone and infotainment system i have a video on how to pair phone if you need help: ua-cam.com/video/uIsGkRUoWIY/v-deo.html
Yes smartplay studio never worked in zxi before and after the update. For me it says Vin# and mobile number not matching. I wanted this app to work for navimap.

How long it takes to download the software & installation..i tried using the first option..download s completed and i transfer the file to HU..but installation taking 15+min and still going-on
installation can take anywhere between 10-20 minutes, took me numerous tries with both methods to successfully update just have patience, if it fails, factory reset the HU, reset all connections and try again
it probably has something to do with the update file version not being the correct one. i suggest you format the USB and set it to FAT32 and reinstall the update file from the website while double-checking the update version.
I followed same steps to update my smartplay pro plus for Baleno Alpha 2022. Unfortunate unable to update as wifi connection shows some error while connecting. Pl. guide me
I am from Mexico, I have the baleno 2022 with the 55T2 infotainment and when I download the download file it does not give me any .pkg file, only the two .json and .bin files, when connected to the car it does not detect the update.
hello, i checked the code with the website and yes, the .pkg file is not available i believe it is only available for model codes 55T0 and 55TA unfortunately
hey, please ensure that: 1. USB is in good condition and format it before backing up any important data 2. its atleast 8gb or more 3. all 3 files are present directly in the USB (not in any folder) in their respective format .pkg .bin and .json, it should not be the .zip file 4. factory reset the infotainment system from the settings 5. if USB is detected but update doesn't start, try selecting the 'Software Update' option in settings 6. if USB doesn't get detected at all (it takes some time for me) then try with a different USB, maybe a new one? if this still doesn't work, give the SmartPlay Pro Sync method a try, or contact your technician at the authorised service center

Method 2: Ensure that the USB is in FAT32 and not NTFS file system People facing the issue of Baleno being detected instead of Brezza in SmartPlay Pro Sync app, do not worry, its a bug, you can still update the system as long as the VIN number is being displayed correctly.
Update done: my phone is realme 3pro. I don't have smartplay app, phone bas bluetooth connection le raha android auto kar ke kuch bhi pop up nhi ho raha jese aapme hua

@@shahmeerathar i found the issue, android auto wireless is compatible with Android 11 for phones other than samsung. I updated my phone, will try again with my phone. I connected another phone which had android 11 and that worked.
I updated the system. It got updated in the first go. I have Android 11 but still i am not able to connect. My phone is connected via Bluetooth but didn't work. Then i tried switching ON wifi only, then too nothing. Any ideas?
@@niks0112 you must have the correct valid update file in the USB, check your infotainment system's software version, download the corresponding update file from the linked website, ensure that you have a clean pendrive and then transfer the extracted .pkg file (NOT the .zip) into the pendrive it should work just fine as long as the CORRECT file corresponding to the correct software version is in the USB

Just follow the simple steps described in this video and you'll get the new update of wireless Android auto in your new BREZZA 2022. POV: follow the second step it's better than installing through your phone. I'M HAPPY 😌😌
Ensure that you have used the correct system version code to download the update. The pen drive should be formatted to FAT32 file system, it should NOT have any folders, the update file (.pkg) should be extracted from the .zip file and dropped into the root folder of the USB.
the app is slow and the communication between the servers and your phone is laggy as well. re-install the app and try to reconnect it, also ensure that the internet connection is stable and high-speed because it will take time to detect. took me a couple of tried before the update popped up in the app.

try factory resetting the Infotainment system, reinstalling the app, re-establishing all connections (Bluetooth and WiFi) the app sure is buggy but i cannot figure out why it would misidentify the car, given it sources the VIN number from the servers
@@mukeshsgupta delete the Bluetooth connection and re-establish it, ensure that the 4th option (SmartPlay Pro Sync) is enabled, then connect with car WiFi follow the steps in the same order as shown because the app is buggy
i know it sounds like a dumb suggestion but did you have the mobile data enabled? also factory reset the infotainment system and reset the connections once.

estimate lelo aap 15 minutes for file transfer (from phone to unit) and 15 minutes for actual installation on an average try resetting all connections (Bluetooth and WiFi) and reinstalling the update agar phir bhi nahi hota to USB se karlo better rahega

@@shahmeerathar Sir, everything goes accordingly from file trnafer to downloading of the software to the main unit but after 10/15 minutes the next window comes up blank and an error code appear saying downloading unsuccessful please try again.
@@sanjeevpathak6644 unfortunately it is impossible for me identify the root cause because of the error code, however i can suggest some basic trouble shooting
try with a usb, if you are already trying with a usb then try with a different one, preferably a new one with over 8gbs of storage space, also ensure it is in FAT32 file system
factory reset your infotainment system a couple of times before attempting to update and after each failed attempt, reset the system again
you could try the first method using the apps but its a bit tricky and has a higher chance of errors
if nothing works then you should contact your technician at your authorised service centre
@@shahmeerathar Thank you Sir, let me attempt this time with a factory reset and I have tried 3 new usb with storage space of 8/16/32 but nothing works. Moreover, technician here in Guwahati they wasted my 3 valuable days and my precious gas during this process at 3 different maruti workshop 😢.

There are 3 important points (1) Better to have Android 10 and above on phone (2) Phone should connect thru Bluetooth to infotainment system (3) Phone should be capable of connecting to Wifi in 5GHz band (Not all phones have this feature and only latest phones have this)

The smartplaypro sync didnt connect successfully at all inspite of bluetooth and wifi being connected. Tried with iOS and android phones. The bluetooth smartplay RCA icon does not get enabled for some reason . Tried restarting phones, app, car , deleting BT connections everything ! Have to try the USB update
even i struggled with the connection initally
how it worked for me was:
1. phone had to be connected to car bluetooth and wifi
2. i had to have the app open on my phone where its showing 'no vehicles detected'
3. then i had to tap on the smartplay sync icon to enable it
maybe try triggering the factory reset on the Infotainment Unit, it has resolved some connectivity issues for me

hey, its a matter of personal choice, whichever app feels better to use, more functional, you should use that
i believe both of the maps should be compatible with the infotainment system because they have been developed for that purpose
@@shahmeerathar : Thanks for your revert.Actually I observed a glitch while I was driving yesterday. Since I have iphone with me so that naturally connects with Apple maps in carplay. And while navigating to a destination, route shown was different when I compared that with the Google maps application manually over the phone.So compatibility wise no issues, but apparently I rely more on the Google maps but haven't used navimaps earlier and hence was wondering to choose between the two.
Also one more question here - I received my vehicle last week, but am still unable to login into the Smart Play Studio app as it says mobile number does not match with VIN. So do you have any idea that how long does it take in this process?

as for the phone number registration I am afraid I have no clue about that, SmartPlay Pro or SmartPlay Pro Sync apps for ZXI didn't require any registered mobile numbers. I suggest you contact your dealership and get the issue sorted with the concerned technician asap

well, technically no, the engine need not be running, just the infotainment system has to be switched on,
but practically speaking, i suggest you keep the car running to avoid any battery drain as the process can take anywhere between 15-30 minutes (excluding failed attempts)

totally depends on the driving style and traffic conditions, i have managed to get anywhere between 14-18 kmpl in city and around 20 kmpl on highways at 90-100 speeds

instructions from maruti stated that .json and .bin files should be there in the pen-drive with the .pkg file however people have updated with just the .pkg file

Unable to connect smart play pro sync in my iPhone. What to do now?
i have no experience with IOS so i won't be able to guide you unfortunately.
The app is pretty buggy, it could take a couple of tries.
Man, the video was amazing. I just tried it with my Baleno Zeta that comes with SmartPlay Pro. It worked like a charm, faced no problem.I had no idea about these updates until I saw your video.
its surprising how ineffective maruti's communication is, given the fact that these updates can be a MAJOR boost for their sales and credibility against competiton

I'm not able to connect to the wifi of car and therefore also able to use Smartplay pro sync app
@@siddhantshitole9219I used the USB method. The phone method is tedious. the sync software doesn't even recognise the car, I used the USB method to avoid any problems. The phone method has problems because the server is sluggish, which is why I had to try at least five times just to download the file from the website. Before updating, I just deleted all of the connections. It took barely approximately 15 minutes.

happened with me as well, that was because my internet connection was pretty weak down in the parking, it took quite some time to detect the update

Thanks for this, I owned zxi also, let me share my experience, firstly smartstudio sync app showed me baleno instead of brezza 😂, after update it got corrected, then i never connect that rca app for vehicle information let me tell you that smartplay studio app for vehicle information is not connecting after the update so if you know anything then please reply.
i couldn't understand your issue clearly but i suggest you:
1. delete both applications from your phone and reinstall them
2. factory reset your infotainment system in the car from the settings
and then try a fresh reconnection between phone and infotainment system

Yes smartplay studio never worked in zxi before and after the update. For me it says Vin# and mobile number not matching. I wanted this app to work for navimap.

Android auto should pop-up once you factory reset the infotainment system and have wireless Android auto enabled on your phone in the settings
How long it takes to download the software & installation..i tried using the first option..download s completed and i transfer the file to HU..but installation taking 15+min and still going-on
installation can take anywhere between 10-20 minutes, took me numerous tries with both methods to successfully update
just have patience, if it fails, factory reset the HU, reset all connections and try again
I have added it on the usb. And the usb get detected with the update but it dosent higlight the yes button
it probably has something to do with the update file version not being the correct one.
i suggest you format the USB and set it to FAT32 and reinstall the update file from the website while double-checking the update version.

I am from Mexico, I have the baleno 2022 with the 55T2 infotainment and when I download the download file it does not give me any .pkg file, only the two .json and .bin files, when connected to the car it does not detect the update.

i believe it is only available for model codes 55T0 and 55TA unfortunately

hey, please ensure that:
1. USB is in good condition and format it before backing up any important data
2. its atleast 8gb or more
3. all 3 files are present directly in the USB (not in any folder) in their respective format .pkg .bin and .json, it should not be the .zip file
4. factory reset the infotainment system from the settings
5. if USB is detected but update doesn't start, try selecting the 'Software Update' option in settings
6. if USB doesn't get detected at all (it takes some time for me) then try with a different USB, maybe a new one?
if this still doesn't work, give the SmartPlay Pro Sync method a try, or contact your technician at the authorised service center

Method 2: Ensure that the USB is in FAT32 and not NTFS file system
People facing the issue of Baleno being detected instead of Brezza in SmartPlay Pro Sync app, do not worry, its a bug, you can still update the system as long as the VIN number is being displayed correctly.
Update done: my phone is realme 3pro. I don't have smartplay app, phone bas bluetooth connection le raha android auto kar ke kuch bhi pop up nhi ho raha jese aapme hua

also, in your phone settings, search Android Auto and ensure Wireless Android Auto is enabled, then reconnect the phone via Bluetooth
@@shahmeerathar i found the issue, android auto wireless is compatible with Android 11 for phones other than samsung. I updated my phone, will try again with my phone. I connected another phone which had android 11 and that worked.

check your infotainment system's software version, download the corresponding update file from the linked website, ensure that you have a clean pendrive and then transfer the extracted .pkg file (NOT the .zip) into the pendrive
it should work just fine as long as the CORRECT file corresponding to the correct software version is in the USB

Steps were following in my zxi plus with current version 66TA.04
1) downloaded 66TA version update
2) format PEN DRIVE
3) copied upgrade.pkg to pen drive
4) inserted pen drive to car USB
5) Nothing happened
6) click on software update option in car infotainment system, error no valid file found
Note: I tried with and without empty bin and json files,
Just to give a try I even tried with zip (lol)
I am not sure what I am doing wrong

'Usb connected' message is coming but unfortunately software update is not deducted.

Ensure that you have used the correct system version code to download the update.
The pen drive should be formatted to FAT32 file system, it should NOT have any folders, the update file (.pkg) should be extracted from the .zip file and dropped into the root folder of the USB.
