I have the same car same color 13 RS only automatic I live in LA that was the toughest decision when I bought it manual or auto I thougt of LA traffic 🚦 and chose automatic ... To bad Chevy designed the inter cooler behind the bumper so only 1/2 the cooler gets air . The RS is more open in the lower grill than a LT they have that big thick plastic going across the lower grill for some reason . Great vid . I'm looking to get one soon thank for posting ...
I got a 2015 buick encore with the same 1.4l luv turbo fwd model they do make awd wish I had that one. But yeah zzp does have some parts listed that fit it. But luckily I've found my model years layout blueprints and it's the same as your sonic which helps.
Mine is a 2015 Sonic LT 1.4 L Turbo and at 40,000 miles the air conditioning condenser went out and now at 42,000 miles, it's the water pump. I saw that you did use the provided ZZP silicone couplers, but how about the other ones for the radiator? I can't get a mechanic out here to install a temp gauge. These run so hot what about Radiator & water pump after market pulleys?
@@drivemedia4889 I had the trifecta tune. All it did was spool up quicker. Went to reinstall and toasted my CPU so bad the reset counter was fried too. No more Tunes! ZZP has some good items for the Sonic, the Intercooler set being one.
@@drivemedia4889 A few more ponies if you already have some aftermarket parts. Trifecta tune is not what turns a chevy Luv 4 Banger into a pocket rocket. Bigger Turbo, aluminum flywheel, down pipe, mid pipe with new Cat & Muffler, Jolly green giant or bigger injectors with a new fuel pump, intercooler, and the list goes on. Now tell me about your Trifecta. Most people swap the 1.4 for the large Chevy power plant to compete on the track with Subaru at Nürburgring Germany.
@@drivemedia4889 Check out the Sonic with the Camaro LS1 power plant of 455 HP's and the new one has 4 wheel drive. Ate the track record at Nürburgring.
I'm planning on installing the ZZP intercooler with the larger throttle to go along with BNRs GTX250 turbo.
That's sweet bro! Let me know how it goes!
The two tone black side mirrors have that VW look

Aye twinning haha! But that's sweet, let me know how the install goes! Thanks for following along, subscribe if you can!
Did that intercooler also help with fuel economy

Isn't it uncomfortable to remove the oil filter when you change the engine oil?

i didnt mess with the radiator at all but i would recommend getting a tune from zzp and they can lower your operating temp by about 20 degrees.

@@arnienelson6415 yeah, zzp is nothing like trifecta haha. They actually add HP and look at scan files from your car.

You should of took it for a test drive before putting the bumper back on.
And there isn't any trimming required anymore with their new charge pipes.
really? wish they would've made them that way from the get go.

Take the time get exhaust manifold made go custom turbo
Mine is overheating like crazy so instead of tune first ill do intercooler and maybe exhaust and then tune
What? Lol.
@@P1ayCrackThe5ky the car is doo doo long story short so i want to buy parts 90% say tune first but i need the car running lol.
@@nobreaks3305 You original comment just confused me with the overheating part.
