- Why are two of each figure? - The first is a regular, normal figure. The second is a rarer, more exotic variant version.
Star Wars figures were produced over a span of 8 years, and were made and sold in many different countries. Because of this a lot of toys display small differences.
The toy company Kenner acquired the rights to Star Wars. Action figures at the time were usually 12 inch's but as this would make the larger vehicles unfeasible they made the decision to shrink the scale to 3.75 inch's.
An estimated 300 million Star Wars figures were produced in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
In 1985 the final wave of figures, known as the Last 17, were packaged with a coin.
This simply looks stunning, museum quality display. Never have 45 year old plastic toys looked better!
love the use of the name stickers
That was one of the most painfully beautiful things I've ever seen in my entire life. 😍😪
No toys in toy history comes close to Star Wars.
I had loads of these figures back in the 1980s along with my friends we where all star wars fans, thanks for the wonderful memories :)
Impressed to see that the Tandem X-Wing mock up still exists to this day.
Beautiful
Ugh! I have almost all of those, especially the real early ones from the 70’s. unfortunately, they were played with as a kid. Now, they are in a big garbage bag with some other junk, out in the garage. I’m gonna have to take a trip down memory lane and get those out and have a look at them. If only I knew then, what I know now. My father even said the same thing. He would have bought two of everything. One to play with, one that stays in the packaging, and put in a safe. Looking at these action figures really brings back memories.
Thank you for taking the time to show us!
this Bantha prototype!!! 😍😍😍
Amazinf Collection
Great presentation of the vintage gang!
amzing collection just with u now thanks dave
Very cool video, thank you 👍
I have only known of few Kenner Star Wars figure variants. I didn't realize there's way more...
That is a awesome collection
Awesome video!!!! I’m trying for a Jawa variant collection this year 🙃
Ive still got most of them. Complete. Missing about 12 of these figures. All from the final phase in the last two rows
Nice presentation
That duel seat x-wing.....never knew it existed...would love to have one
I believe the ones at the end were prototypes for the 1986 SW toy lines that were never sold.
Does anybody know where I can purchase those identification cards for the figures? I like the way they look with them.
great video for referencing the variants, thanks for sharing sub'd and liked too
Thought might of had some commentary pointing out the differences between the characters..some I know some I couldn't tell
Had all sorts of plans but life got in way. This is just the raw footage still an amazing collection so wanted to share.
@@Thelogicbank yes they are nice
I going to do video myself soon because deep in my parents shed my personal collection still sits ...there's a genuine vinyl cape jawa that hasn't seen light of day since the 80s
Apologies if my comment offended
Just always chasing new facts when it comes to vintage starwars
Aussie smithy
nice
Bravo👏👏👏
My brother had a lot of those figures back in the 80's why just why did we throw them away 😡😂
Where is this? The unproduced double x-wing and Bantha 😮!!!
Did you print the cards with the names on your own or did you buy them anywhere?
Awesome! Where did u get the cards showing the names of the figures?...they are stunning!
That Leia in the slave girl outfit looks like a kitbash of a Marion Ravenwood from Kenner (1982).
May the toys be with you exhibition
Amazing collection! Is this your collection or a museum display somewhere?
I noticed Zuckuss and 4-LOM were on the wrong cards
Technically they're not. Their names somehow got reversed and that's how it was printed on the cards. Many collectors still refer to them by the card names.
Very nice collection. But I wish you would’ve added some commentary aswell. It feels a bit strange, when it’s all quite
You have a jawa blaster with the other first 12 Princess Leia. Nice collection though crazy you have all the coins with the last 17
It's the Leia produced by the Glasslite factory in Brazil. She came with the Jawa blaster.
Dude you just skipped the Bantha! Wanted that so much as a kid!
The Slave Leia was she released or was that a prototype? I’ve never seen one before
Justin Time prototype I believe
Was the sandtrooper at the end an unreleased prototype ?
Wow great spot.. it is a fan made figure. Should of edited it out.
A short question for the specialists: in which film does Prune Face appear, and when?
Is it not Return of jedi as one of Jabbas men
@@LogicBankLive Okay ; it must appear only a fraction of a second so because I do not visualize it
No...he is a rebel fighter and he and a couple of others are in the ROTJ. You see them in the rebel briefing and boarding the transport going to Endor. 👍
Brilliant display, Is it open to the public or is it private 👍🏻
It's public and moves around m.facebook.com/maythetoysbewithyou/?locale2=en_GB
Is that a real one and a fake one? supported.
DrCleanUK both real just produced in different parts of the world. :-)
Was that Max Rebo with his faded variant? Lol
Great video! I collect variants as well and have a number of interesting ones in my videos if you want to check them out.
Star Wars? Is that the one with the sassy robot in it that goes haywire and starts wrecking everything and saying f@#$ you, master?
nice! But the rustling audio was making my ears bleed
Sorry ment to add a commentary. I mute it and add music. Next time I am on laptop.
I have never seen an original Leia with such a god-awful paint job and holding a Jawa gun
It's the Glasslite Leia made for the Brazilian market. She came with the Jawa blaster.
