    Honestly, that mother at the end looked so beautiful. I’m a mom (and nursing), and the fact that she would even stand in front of a camera like that shows that she’s ok with how she looks. It’s a part of life, and she’s rocking it. ❤

      I think pregnant bellies are beautiful. I loved mine and loved showing it. The discomfort I don't miss and all the weird pains and awkwardness it caused. I used to constantly bang doors at my belly, because it was just, well there and huge. I'm built in a way that really pushes the belly out early on. But it all grew straight ahead and not at all to the sides. I suprise-scared people with it several time. At my friends wedding I used my belly as a table as I could put down a plate on top of it.

    Yeah the waves in Hawaii are super strong, I even got sucked in as a baby. A massive wave hit us taking everyone’s things, which included baby me. I have 2, 6 years apart. We wanted them far enough apart so our daughter would be a little more self sufficient when her brother came. Of course, she spoiled him and with them in their late 20s/early 30s they are still close. We both worked and it worked out well. Now, I see the people who have 4+, a year or two apart, bitching about how tired they are or they have to corral the screaming monkeys in a store. THAT is the reason why we did what we did. I lactated and lost my period without being pregnant, but I got a tummy that very much looked like I was. I wasn't having one of those reactions where the body gets into an extreme form of a psychosomatic effect though. Mine was caused by meds and on a dose where that never should have been possible. Now, being anonymous, my "case" is used in lectures about side effects of meds of any kind, and to be aware of very rare occurrences they may never even come across in their entire career where a patient responds extremely to a dose where any side effects are deemed impossible by every literature and patienteperiences they have had in their career. And to always take any report of a side effect by patiënt serious.
    If my shrink had I probably would not have gained this much weight either and fucked up cholesterol which used to be perfect since he never believed me and kept me on the meds. (Yes I should have just stopped :-/. )
    I likely underestimated my food intake or even that I probably ate more due to the meds, he said. No and no. I had in fact cut my intake but it didn't help.
    And then the undeniable happened, namely my lactation. After that he couldn't do anything but admit I did respond very extreme and he had been wrong.
    I did have an MRI to make sure it wasn't a brain tumor but it coincided too much with my meds so I knew it wasn't. I understand though why they wanted to and it is good they did and not just put it in the meds if it actually happened to be a supercoincidental event with my meds. But, luckily no. The shit is that my lactation stopped but my weight is not coming off and due to an illness I won't elaborate on for the sake of not making it any longer, I cannot safely go outside for exercise and I have no money for a treadmill or so and if I did, no space. Also ANY exercise ends after my first round of activity that is strenuous by being knocked out cold, so that is not gonna change anything in my weight.
    If you want to know just ask and I will explain but for now this is enough.
    I can tell you that is a very strange experience though. 😑

    • @lollylolly8186
      @lollylolly8186 2 роки тому +7

      Happened to me three times with 3 different meds. Not the lactation though. I was asked what I ate to gain 50lbs in a month. Really!! I didn’t eat much because of the other side effects but can anyone actually gain that much while being a working mom of 6? I barely have time for a bathroom break. It’s defeating especially when they say, that is not a side effect of x. My daughter gained 40+ after being on Accutane for a few weeks. To make matters worse only 1 of the medications actually helped me.
      Exercise intolerance is a thing! I get migraines and am ill for days afterwards. Heck I used to teach aerobics and water aerobics.

    • @Fluffy-Fluffy
      @Fluffy-Fluffy 2 роки тому +3

      @@lollylolly8186 thanks for understanding but sorry to hear you experience that "can't be from that medication"- bias. Just because it says increased appetite as a side effect as well, it also states 'weight gain' as a separate side effect. Which they should interpret it as it is: separate. And if people do eat more when you ASK them or they mention it, THEN they may conclude it's related. But some drugs alter your whole metabolism and makes you gain weight in and of itself. It's sad that it's dismissed so often (at least I feel it is). Sometimes it is a necessary evil. In my case it wasn't. It was just evil.
      Sorry to hear your daughter went through the same. And the judgment of others is just not okay. "Just Eat less and move More" is NOT always not the solution, it isn't always possible, just like you experience too.
      Me, I get extreme sleepattacks to the point where I've been taken to the ER by ambulance several times because people (including police) thought I had a stroke as I couldn't talk at all or intelligable, I looked/acted weird and I couldn't tell them otherwise. The thing is I can't wear a label to say It's not a stroke because what if ot happens to be one and they dismiss it as a sleepattack?
      As soon as I laid in the ambulance I was knocked out cold which didn't really help. I always woke up on a ward, when I could finally explain what was going on.
      And to not waste other's resources I just don't go out anymore to walk and such. It's so embarassing to have to say:"oh I just got a sleepattack which my Ritalin couldn't prevent for me". It helps me only on normal-ish days. Exercise triggers such a heavy attack no Ritalin can save me from falling asleep. Ugh.

    • @Pippis78
      @Pippis78 2 роки тому

      Exercise can help in many ways and is generally healthy, but eating "right" is what's more relevant to loosing weight.
      But yes, the body can act in really weird ways and loosing weight can be extremely difficult even when you do things pretty much "right". Breastfeeding will make some bodies hang on to every single fat cell and calorie, you could almost starve yourself and not loose a gram. For others breastfeeding does the opposite - they start "wasting away" no matter how much they try to eat to keep up.
      I got bad side effects from hormonal meds - well, "the pill". After 2 years I stopped taking it but some of the side effects never left. I've heard the same thing from SO many people. They get side effects from the pill, stop taking it, the side effects stay 😵
      Head aches are my most common side effect I get from ANY drugs (and several other triggers). I've had so many moments were I'm thinking whether the medication disables me more than the illness. It sucks.
      At the moment I've found two drugs that seem to work really well for my adhd. The other one I consider "a miracle drug". The side effects are super annoying but nothing debilitating luckily so I'm accepting the trade-off.

      I had struggled with bulimia for about 20 years and anorexia for a couple of years because it's a disease. I was just a little heavier than my weight because I had a baby and it got out of hand. I wasn't trying to have a "hot body", just one that I could wear my clothes and not buy new ones. I took the easy way out because I was young and dumb and was told by friend about it. I still exercised. Trying to hide it from my former husband was hard and then I told him. When it was noticable people thought I was sick. (I was but not what they thought). Yeah, when you are pale and bony...that's not a "hot body".

Anyway, I told him after about the 8th time asking for his info that I was gonna call the cops. He told me to go ahead see you next Tuesday! So, I did. My petty ass sat there for 30 mintues waiting for a cop and pressed hit and run charges on him. The cop gave me his name, address, drivers license number, insurance company AND policy number. I had time today to be petty. If he would have just been cool and gave his info, I probably wouldn't have even claimed the few scratches and tiny dent. But he wanted to be a butt soooo I called his insurance company immediately when I got home and needless to say they aren't happy with him. All I could think of was you screaming pettttttyyyyyyy the whole time I was talking to the insurance company. 😂😂😂 Your face was the only thing I could see. 😂😂😂 Keep up the great videos, they're keeping me sane at the moment. 💚

    Hi Charlotte! Don't worry about having kids or not. It will just come naturally or no - most important is to be happy. With kids or without, with a partner or without. It doesn't matter if you live your life fully and enjoy it. If one day you will be pregnant, remember - you will feel not ready or scared or both, nobody is prepared for that and knows how it is; I have two kids now and I am looking at myself from the past and it's like omg how it all happened? ;) I was happy alone and didn't feel a need to have a family but suddenly I've met the man of my life and here I am. It doesn't mean that my life would be worse if I were happy single till the end. A lot of hugs to you!
