I don't think this works anymore on ios17 for text tone. It says None when you go to sound settings to hear it but the name appears... :(
Edit: Just an update. After a day, it actually plays my custom tone now. Guess it just needs time to adjust.

Hi Daniel, thank you for this. Gmail for iOS has its own settings within an app: hamburger (three horizontal parallel lines located on the top left corner...) -> Settings -> Email notifications -> Notification Sounds. You can only pick from the system's default notification sounds. How can I get imported ones from the Garage Band there? By the way, how did you find out about that bar trick? 🤔

Great video, however...... running with IOS 17.0.3 every time I save a text tone it is automatically going into my ringtones and there appears to be no way of moving them because Apple have made the decision and want us to buy them instead. Unless there is a new way to work around this problem?
