A whiny wife n screaming kids..and there is you positive attitude( all be it grin n bear it) and doing it all on sausages n pasta and little sleep..your a more patient man than me...at least north of Bundy the reef will calm the waters .. I also have great memories of luminescent dolphins, lying in the bowsprit nets of a 1916 Windjammer at night sailing from Australia to S.Africa to Brazil, two magical hours of my life I will never forget . Happy sailing.
Seth how much sleep did you get on that 3 day passage? Does E do a watch for you during the daytime? Or are you doing short naps during the night? Another entertaining video by the way!
12:17 tell Elizabeth that these are my favorite types of videos! Living at sea, looking for wind, and avoiding ships all night are all completely foreign and fascinating to me
I admire Seth's consistent good temper at all times. I could do with some of that. That passage didn't look like fun at all. Great waterpark and good times! I wonder what you guys think about what Australia is turning into.
Elizabeth is a a true legend 3 boys and a husband with a camara ;) If I'm sick I think I would of stuck the camara someplace the sun does not shine. Lol... She just says I'm really not in the mood. She is great ♡her. Way to go make everyone help with all the laundry! Thank you for another great video. I did not find it boring you guys are so lucky to live a life alot of us only dream we could show our kids.
Great as always. Just remember "Happy Wife Happy Life"!! I kind of liked seeing Elizabeth annoyed with you. Helps me remember that what we see is filtered and you guys have some of the same daily struggles of life, just like all your fans. Thank you.
Loved your dolphin in the biolumenescence story. When I was in the Navy, years ago, I was standing at the bow of the ship at around 2am and saw to biolumenescent trails coming straight for the ship at a high rate of speed. My heart almost stopped and then went into overdrive as it looked exactly like you would think a pair of torpedoes would look. Turned out to be dolphins but i was a little shaky for the next hour or so. Fair winds and following seas...
Epic video, as always. My wife and I love watching them together and enjoying the hardships that make the joys even sweeter. Not one second of that was boring. Thanks bro. 🤙🏾🤙🏾
One your BEST OF!! The Agony of getting there… The Ecstasy of Being there!! When your. boys roll into men and share their experiences growing up….. many will not believe them. But we Tubers know the Truth!!
The NSW coast can be very uncomfy in the counter-current. You need to stay very close to shore heading north (tip for next time lol). Southport has everything to make the family happy. Great video. Loved it. Hope you are enjoying Nth Qld.😎🌬⛵⚓🌴
Growing up in Newport Rhode Island I have such a nostalgic affinity for the America's Cup. I remember the controversy of the winged keel from Australia II 12 meter back in the early 80s. Dennis Conner sailed Liberty. I was in high school and my best friend's dad was a 12 meter designer. He gave me one of those hand carved 12 meter half hulls. I had it for almost 30 years. New Zealand must be very happy now. I'm new here. Great channel btw. Doing research for our documentary on Generation A-ers and their parents are adapting to a new era as content creators. Keep doing the wonderful things you and your family are doing. Your children are leaps and bounds ahead of the curve 💯💥🤙👍
Seth more bad days sailing footage please. We need to scare new sailors away to keep the boat prices down because they are getting really expensive. I will be in the market for a boat in 2025. When will you be selling yours? 😉 Love the exercise segment.
So worth it! Brilliant that you share the bad times too. Keeping it real. Though nothing gets you down. Always the even kneel. You finally got to Wet n Wild! Love that place! Showcasing as always with awesome water pics & vids!
I agree with everyone else - these are the best videos - not boring! What is it really like out on the boat all the time is what makes your channel interesting and fun to watch. Bowling, waterparks .. yeah ok nice to see, but your a sailing family - thats what we tune in to see - all of it. Thanks for sharing.
It didn't look like anybody was enjoying that passage at all. Never really saw the family quite like that before, always so happy. "What are you filming for?" says Liz! See you all next time.
LOL, Elizabeth says"why are you videoing that" but all us sailors at home are happy to watch it knowing we don't have to deal with "family issues" at sea!
Seth, I love watching all of the videos! Greetings from Dallas Texas. Any way we could get a video about your camera setup and some of the behind the scenes of your filming? Keep up the great work Sailing Family!
Really glad you have been enjoying Australia! You do Realise Seth is you eat a meat pie and drink a can of xxxx beer your whole family automatically becomes Australian citizens! Cheers guys!
It's life you have your ups and downs when you're down think of your ups and when your up don't think down thanks for sharing while I sit in the comfort of my lounge chair
That East coast currant can be a challenge. I've done it three times on delivery skippers who say stay about 2nm off shore when going North further out the current works to hard but it makes for a good southbound run. You think Sydney's a bit chilly, youl'd love Tasie 🏴☠️
Buffoons in a boat😂 Always make me laugh when people bang on about “living the dream” and that sailing life is easy... if only they knew the joys of collecting water from ashore and fixing endless head issues! Great vid (we always enjoy watching them while waiting to get back to our boat) and I can sympathise with Elizabeth having enough of rubbish sea conditions!
Another great episode. Love to follow your adventures. Boat speed of 17 knts and big waves, you can see by the big ship rolling that the sea is rough. Cheers from Rio.
“We’re wearing jeans and sweatshirts now-it’s super cold…”. 😆 I’m laughing in Idaho where we bundle up like Ralphie in “A Christmas Story” just to keep alive when it’s super cold.
I know they think they've got everything bigger in Texazzzz..... But.... Seth you win! You win! At the 3:30 mark you win the Big Kahuna's, The Giant Bollocks, the Biggest BeachBalls in all of the land or sea!! I think I held my breath until the 16:34 mark and even then I exhaled oh so quietly.
I feel like even though everybody hated the rough ocean for 3 days in a row, it was worth it to me. That water park looked so fun. Also Gold Coast is a lovely place.
16:34, Elizabeth is doing a ‘Double Victory’ and there’s a large sailing cat in the background… What is that… I’ve never seen any quite like it. I see it reappears at 18:12 and anchored off you bow at 18:39! BTW, waterpark shots were great! Funny what action you seek in a waterpark, but if you were receiving the same results at sea; maybe not so much! Love watching y’all!!! ME ⚓⚓⚓ 🤠
That big white catamaran is SV sailing Zatara it seems. Sailing Sahara is another real family top-entertaining American, hey, Texas USA, sailing 'round the world worthwhile channel. Free UA-cam subscription to Sailing Zatara and to The Sailing Family helps them both at no personal cost to you.
@@dondassinger6202 Thanks for responding. I have followed Sailing Zatara for about 3 years. Zatara has one row of port-lights (looking out from the main salon). This 'mystery boat' has 2 rows of port-lights (that's what caught my attention) and I'd like to see the deck plan. I love watching The Sailing Family and I am amazed by the speeds they reach sometimes, but I'm on the lookout for a sailing/cruiser cat (the Privilege 585 (Zatara) is one of my considerations). ⚓⚓⚓ 🤠
I Always thought the seas between Australia, New Zealand, and Antarctica where the roughest seas in the world due to three bodies of water colliding together.
I just found you guys a couple of weeks ago and I’m watching every video. I’m loving them and feel I’ve gotten to know all of you. You are a wonderful couple and great parents. Your boys will always cherish these times all of their lives. Each boy has his own personality and they love each other and adore their parents. Your seamanship is absolutely top notch and Archer is gorgeous, with so much space and 😊room to have your own private spaces. Take care guys, and if you are in our neck of the woods (Otaki NZ) our home is your home.
Beautifully done! Was in the Gold Coast back in the late 60's doing a little R&R from Vietnam. Don't remember much other than it was beautiful and the people equally so.
The view of the sea behind Elizabeth, Wow. There is this saying about a happy wife and I think maybe a happy life..... I'm guessing that was none of the above. lol Great waterpark picture.
In the videos, the night watch during passage only takes a few seconds of Seth in archer-red light. But in reality it is long hours, with no help of a bunch of older teens like on Zatara. Respect! Thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us !
No matter where you go no matter how bad it is outside ... As long as you have each other an ate together... Your always home!!! ✌🏻💗😊❣️ Beautiful episode ! Thanks for sharing your lives with us!!! ✌🏻💗😊❣️
I just admire your family so. I love the good and the not so great within your adventures. I grew up sailing. Best experience my father gave to us. Lol now I’m on tiny lake sailing a kayak. Maybe one day another great big sail.
Can we assume that you get to take long naps on the day after those late or all night shifts? Love watching you all enjoying that water park. Most of all are your interactions with The Boys!
I have wanted to have a sailboat for years but my wife is afraid of getting sea sick. It happens but generally you get over it after a while. Love you videos and travels.
I think it’s the first time I have saw Elizabeth and the boys not so happy. The ending was great seeing all the smiling faces. I have been watching episodes from the beginning and the boys have sure grown up. Safe travels to you all and look forward to the next episode. Sending love from VA. P. S. I still want you guy’s to adopt me so I can be grandma for about a month to spoil the boys.
Nope. They're heavy and they don't really dry your clothes anyway. There is also a laundry mat in every tiny village with electricity in the world, and often times it is very affordable to pay someone to do it for you (which then creates work and income for the locals who otherwise never see a benefit to our visits) and you get your clothes back dry and folded! Sure, there is the hassle of getting the laundry to land, but we really only did this 12 times a year, so not a big sacrifice. I'm not sure we would get one on a new boat!
No, I drew the longest straw! I married a woman that would go on this crazy adventure with me despite being seasick on the passages. I'm the luckiest man in the world. 😊 ~Seth
You are a patient man sir, I admire you.

AAH what a gret way to leave Pittwater early in the morning :)
Boaters going to a water park is awfully close to a busman's holiday.
Haha. Never thought of it that way!

Since you have no cat or dog onboard make sure you always show the dolphins. Always entertaining.

With a family that size you would save money in the long run to invest in a washer dryer
Yesss!! Saweeeet bunch! Loving it! 🌞🌚🌊💛
Can I ask, how and when do you sleep, does Elizabeth do a night watch coz you have so much energy as does the rest of the family
When you think Epic...for me its the sailing family splash family photo....great family great stuff...

Common sense, right!?
Look forward to these videos each week. I've got 5 little ones myself and my kids and I enjoy watching these episodes together. Keep on, Sailing on!

Not journeying parts. No. 😂
Poor Elizabeth is CRANKY!
She’s seasick.
How often do buy provisions (food) those boys look like they need more food?
Ha. All we do is buy those kids food. It triples our cruising budget!
thanks
