  • You know it's good cruising when the next anchorage is better than the last, and it just keeps happening and happening. You find your favorite anchorage in all of Australia, and then the next one tops it. And the one after that is even better that the new one. Yep, life is good in Queensland as we sail up to the Great Barrier Reef.

ABOUT US: We are a family of five sailing around the world on a performance catamaran named "Archer" and sharing our adventures in family-friendly episodes every Tuesday!
OUR ROUTE: We departed the Boston area of the United States and sailed south to the Caribbean and then west through the Panama Canal. We have dealt with massive repairs in the South Pacific, the Coronavirus lock down in New Zealand, a Category 5 Cyclone in Fiji, and now we are cruising in Australia.
OUR PAST: You may remember us as "SV Honeymoon?" Ten years ago ("before kids"), we sailed a Lagoon 380 named Honeymoon halfway around the world to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences via UA-cam and, by happenstance, created one of the very first "sailing channels." We also realized what an incredible experience we were having and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with kids.

As a child I would get lost in books of adventures in far away lands. As an adult I get lost in the sailing adventures of the sailing family and enjoy the most beautiful videos of blue waters and sensational tropical islands while sailing in the best of all the boats. This can only be made better by Elizabeth and her wonderful dancing moves!!! Thanks for the ride along...

I have learned so much about sailing just from listening to you. The little tips and pointers you drop into your conversation so very clearly shows that you're a sailor to the core. And there's no flexing, just a regular guy having a great time with his family.

Wow! That’s the only word that comes to mind. I love your narrations and how you explain what your doing. You are a very qualified sailor, and it comes through in your videos!! Well done.
As I’ve watched for a year now, seeing your kids grow, I can’t believe the experience you are giving them. When they become adults, you got to wonder if they will continue their life on the water travelling extensively as you and your wife have done. What seeds have you planted in their minds......Hmmm.
Again, thanks for sharing! Awesome videos!

It's really interesting to see our coast through the eyes of someone else. We live on the Gold Coast and with our sailboat and four wheel drive we spend as much time as possible in the spots you have just visited. Really enjoy your enthusiasm! Double Island has undergone such amazing changes. Used to be a caravan park there but storms took that out. Ten years ago the inlet was just a pond. Only recently could you risk a monohull in there. Just too shallow.

Another great episode, no matter that is was so short. I would love to see more of the family swimming, which I am sure they did around the wrecks. More you of and Elizabeth changing sails and showing setting up your nav. waypoints etc. Also showing your discussions on where you will go to next, who influences those decisions, what factors you think about when deciding a destination, etc. Even more of the problems and difficulties you face along the way. I'm sure you must have some. Seth, are you the only one that makes these decisions? It would be nice to know more and see more of the back story about/behind your travel decisions - the how and why you go where you go. 😄 If you don't mind and can fit that in. 👍 Wishing you ALL al the best for your upcoming travels and sails!

Australia gives me an idea. Some people pick up old plastic beach wreck, and bury it. They have a pirate camp in Australia where cruisers leave messages, and dates also their boat name on rustic signs. They sell honey on honner system. This old plastic could be melted down, and made into letters, artistic shapes, bird baths, bird houses, or you use your imagination of new ideas. There is a man on youtude making beautiful bowls with this eye sore. Another man is making rugged bar stool seats from plastic bottle caps. This could be done all over to make a better world. Fair Winds!
