Longevity is also a good thing to consider para masabi mo kung sulit. My old Macbook air is now almost 10 yrs old and still works perfectly. Im also using a dell xps i7 and It is just less than 2 yrs old and the battery of it sucks. Its a bit lucky if your windows will reach 5 yrs.

I'm also planning to get my first mcbook. I have been using windows the problem is after 1 to 2 years diko ko na gets yung performance ng asus laptop ko too slow.
Can confirm, yong Macbook pro ko going 8 years na and mabilis pa rin siya, walang sira. In that time nakailang palit na ng laptop mga kaibigan kong naka-Windows.
100%! I got a hp laptop but after 5 years it got the dreaded BSOD. Bought a 3rd hand 2011 mb pro and still serving me fine up to this day. I was able to use it for my ESL job way back 2017, problems were very few unlike my co-ESL workmates who always have problems with the program being used. However features of some applications might be better on windows but hey. Most of it are just quirks.

I use Windows for work, productivity and gaming and it works well enough but for everything else, I prefer using MacOS. The Air M1's balance of power and long battery combined with it being fanless is a game changer if you travel alot.

@@shawnallanwebb7084 The Air is only passively cooled since it's not made for intensive computing, it's more for the student and casual crowd. The Pro models exists for those users who need to do heavier workloads.

(WARNING : Long comment.)I think this video will not translate to the real life comparison use of both machines. For me "GET IT RIGHT AGAD" is misleading for so many reasons. But it's a fair review for light tasks and office/student/media consumption user preference as both laptops will get the job done.
First, hindi to long term use of both laptops. Halos lahat is for first impression lang, (Unboxing nga eh) so how would you know if you really "GOT THE RIGHT LAPTOP?"
Second, walang tests sa both laptop in terms of performance using pro applications or even basic applications man lang. How about overheating?
3rd, Hardwares. hindi nabangit dito yung build quality (both aluminum ba? how about the quality of speakers? Pwedeng malakas yung isa pero malabo naman tunog.) How about the cameras? Mics? Parts upgrade? HDMI support for extra monitor?
4th, BATTERY. Malaking factor to para sa ganitong klaseng laptop kasi maraming bibili ng mga laptop na to hindi talaga naka plug sa power outlet. Kung nag eedit ka as video editor tapos di nakaplug yung laptop, gagana pa ba ng maayos yung software?
5th, ease of use. Kailan mo ba laging ihihiga yung laptop mo? Kailan mo ba laging kailangan yung numpad sa trackpad? Kailan ba laging naka max yung brightness mo? Kailan ka laging manunuod ng 2k quality of content sa youtube? May 6ghz of wifi ka ba?
Sa opinyon ko lang, (wala sana magagalit) lahat ng nilagay ng ASUS dito is more of aesthetics/presentation lang for MARKETING GIMMICK for this laptop and yes it adds value on paper but it does not always translate to a REAL WORLD LONG TERM USABILITY of this model and "GETTING IT RIGHT AGAD!" is a misleading TITLE. Just think of the word "AGAD."
I suggest the title should be MAC vs WINDOWS ultrabooks ANO ANG MAS KAILANGAN MO? Para sa ganon, yung sense of urgency sa word na "AGAD" is mawala. Kahit anong power ng M1 chip kung windows user ka talaga sobrang SULIT ng ASUS sayo. Pero para sa nakagamit na ng M1 Air for professional use aside of everyday lights tasks at sanay sa apple ecosystem sobrang capable na ni AIR M1.
Anyway, I've been using windows for the last 10 years and apple snob ako dati. Pero nung nasubukan ko si MAC for video editing (4k reso, motion graphics, HDR video codec, render time, graphic design, at media creation) wala na YATA akong kahit anong dahilan para bumalik sa windows. (Binenta ko na PC ko and lenovo legion)
KUDOS to sir VINCE and the team. Ang hirap gumawa ng comparison video and lahat ng sinabi ko di kakasya sa loob ng isang video lang. I would love to see an update for comparison of both of the laptop for longer real life user experience. MORE POWER!

If i were to choose, kung ganyan lang din yung presyo i would rather go to m2 macbook air. Kase tignan mo nga yung m1 lumalaban pa sa mga latest premium laptop to date pano pa kaya yung m2 na kaka release lang.
I use Windows for work and Mac for personal use. Apple products are pricey but they don't feel cheap either. I got my M1 Air last July, excellent experience so far. Seamless user experience, good battery for normal use.

I've been a windows user my whole life but planning to move to macbook dahil mas maganda tlga ang optimization ng most software development tools in Unix/Unix Like environment compared to their windows version.
Especially now with the m1 chip. Nothing could beat it right now. Even other brands dont want to compare their products to M1 base model. It is just too good.

@@lowkeygaming4716 if you're not into gaming, macbook is a good option. It might be pricier but it will last you a long time. Got a 3rd hand mb pro 2011 still running fine minus the battery and some compatibility app issue (1 of the downsides of using apple laptop)

not biased, I tried windows and macbook for both laptops, and having macbook is a game changer! well balanced, feel reliable in terms of built, quality, sound and just right for the tasks I need for my work, Apple macbook makes you feel that is a laptop that will last for long!! and never easily gets old, in terms of design and value.

Asus definitely better value for money specwise but Apple delivers a better overall user experience especially if you are in the Apple ecosystem. Imessages, sidecar, universal control just to name a few

Software is a big factor too, I'll switch to the new Asus if it can run final cut. And no, premiere is not better for what I do. Final cut still exports way way faster and is lighter on resources.

Long time Windows user ako lalo sa work ko pero nun nag macOS ko for personal use nakita ko na may advantage din pala for work lalo sa optimization and battery life ng MBA M1. Dell G3 yun gamit ko for almost 4yrs then nagpandemic and got this M1 last year. Sulit talaga lalo sa mga apps na gamit ko sa klase ko lalo nun online pa. Saka masarap gamitin kung nasa ecosystem din un iba gdgets mo. I have iPad Pro M1, 13 Pro, and Apple watch kaya namaximize ko un gamit ng MBA ko.

Happy to watch this review, naghahanap kasi ako ng manipis na windows laptop (parang kasing nipis ng macbook) dahil mas sanay ako sa windows compared sa macOS. Mas madali kasing bitbitin sa work ang manipis na laptop kesa sa traditional (bulky) na laptop

No, I understand why Macbook has to limit their brightness because in my experience it is very intellegent and sensitive to light, which is very beneficial for human eyes.

Much better pa rin Macbook for creative work, lalo na for students. Then make a setup at your home with an external monitor, sobrang ganda niyan. Saka sure din na tatagal since I owned 1 for 6yrs na and still snappy pa rin.

Finally some laptop for my collage
MBA is now just less than 50k. Iba pa rin ang M1 chip. For basic tasks like browsing, office apps, IMO MBA is fine. Of course Windows laptops in general have more flexibility pero the M1 Air has aged well, for an almost 3-year old device it’s still works perfectly fine.

Asus beats the Macbook Air M1 on this video for sure. One thing, however, that made me choose the MacOS environment is that I never get to see that smiley on blue screen that makes me annoyed to the core.

I also had a prob deciding on what laptop should I buy before (Asus or Macbook). 😅I did prefer Macbook but in the end, I picked the Asus, considering both my school as well as my work (where most of our software needs Windows OS). It all comes down to what you need, aside from your preference.

13-inch Macbook Air gamit ko. Smooth siya sa pag-play ng youtube videos at superb sounds. May luma din akong MSI Gaming laptop. Very versatile at 3rd party software friendly. Okay din youtube video and movie playing dahil meron siya dedicated video card. Verdict: wala ako maitulak-kabigin kaya madalas sabay ko gamitin - video editing sa PC at nakikinig sa music videos sa Mac.

Please wag kayo mabulag sa specs ng windows laptop with higher ram and storage. You dont need the RAM since sobrang optimize ng MacOS. Yun storage meron naman external hard drive. Once na experience nyo ang mac for productivity di na kayo babalik sa windows na palaging nag hang, crash apps at blue screen of death pag tumagal na sayo and papalitan mo na din after 3 years or so.

Sa official site nila kapag chineck mo yung unit and set your location to "Global" there says na touchscreen si S13 Oled. Also, other tech reviewers shows na touchscreen nga sya. Baka po alam nyo reason and saan pwede makabili nung touchscreen na variant. Salamat po!

But it is good for everyday get to go use. Sobra! talo pa nyan mga XPS 13 and other laptops pricing from 80 to 100k. It's a good deal for me.

Many people change their laptops every 5 years I guess. But yes, for just office use and browsing inteernet, Mac might be better. Windows OS gives laptop universality but then people should change it every 5 years.
@Lasha Bezhanishvili lol been rocking both windows and mac books for YEARS. nothing beats the quality of Mac (software, hardware, ecosystem, security, after sales support, longevity, everything). If you haven’t used the Mac computer at its full capacity (for work, editing, presentation, meetings, social etc) might be a good one to try. Have you ever wondered why companies use Macs or just regular consumers? Not because of the apple logo, because of the quality 100%. You get what you paid for.
If you go Windows path, prepare to be a technician and googling things xD.
