Beautiful riding skills, and a great tune to go with it! Watching this has shown me how little I actually know about handling a street bike! I'm humbled!
Wow!!!! I know Quinn!!! I'm in Ventura! I never knew he rode!!! I knew him 20 yrs ago thru my Thai girlfriend who owned Sri Thai in Ventura!!! He was a cool cop! Quinn, if you're out there I'm still in Ventura riding a 2018 RT!!
That's one hell of a cool video. Much respect to those guys. I would love to see them for real.... almost as much as I'd like one of them to 'give' me his bike (no chance). Here in Japan there is equally impressive police motorcycle riding. I must say that this particular video shows what appears to me to be the better or best of the American police riders, but I have seen only a limited number of videos. I have a Suzuki 650 V Twin, and I love it, but I would love a new BMW 1200 RS or RT. I am short, so the GS is not an option :) Thanks for the video.
I've had a lot of bikes and these are superb handling bikes my current RT LC model weighs in at 277 kgs. Yet feels so much less at walking pace or less.
I respectfully disagreed with you wkruit. I own a 2012 R1200RT, before that, 2009 R1200RT & 2008 R1200RT & think they are one of the easiest bikes to handle on tight corners (Excluding Sport Bikes). Center of gravity is excellent, they are relatively light for a Sport Touring bike, & agile. The weight distribution may not be as good as the 1150RT, I've never owned a 1150RT. But you can sure use all of your tire on these bikes, even though they are more Touring than Sport. That officers skill level was very impressive, I especially liked the part where he went as slow as possible without putting his foot on the ground.
I agree ... can’t believe more people don’t own this bike it’s effortless to ride , everything about it is very good . I have several moments alone on it where I think “ damn this is well engineered!” It’s a marvel ... fast , slow , long or short commutes it’s a dream . Test one ... it blows away the competition
In mountain biking we call standing still without a foot down "Trail Standing" It is relatively easy to do on the RTP as well. Easier than those corner carving turns which need a little momentum to do. It is a tall bike with a high center gravity.
Really impressive, especially on that bike. I ride an R1200RT, wich is not the easiest of bikes to handle on tight corners. The weight distribution is, in my humble opinion, not as good as on the R1150RT I previously owned.
I wonder how west coast boys would match up with Baton Rouge PD motors. BRPD slow ride is in the minutes, not seconds! oh and they do it on Harley Road kings!! Just saying
Pretty equal i guess, on a course like this. In real life, the Europeans might have the edge on motorcycles. We have higher speeds, tighter spaces, and more demanding, narrow twisty roads. The US guys definitely have the edge when it comes to highway patrol in police cars. Those highspeed chases are very uncommon in Europe.
I hate them SOOOOOO much.. I wish I'm half as good at riding my RT as they are. Maybe if I can borrow someone's without having to worry about damaging it for a couple days I can get as good though LOL
Not as hard when you don't have your hard earned cash on the line, and are able to do that at the taxpayers dollar. It does take pretty awesome skill to do that no matter who's bike it is.
I used to have an old cop bike (not this R12 I had an R1150) One of the most nimble bikes ive ever owned even over my crotch rockets. Dont ask you they just are its weird. I describe it lie a fat ballerina. Big and nimble.

Really impressive. Huge respect to guys who can handle bike like this. And great bike of course.

My hero's, I can only dream of driving my r1200rt like this!!

Красавци!!надо и что бы и у нас полиция была на таком уровне!!
Excellent control! I wouldn't want to be chased by him!!! Great video.
Mute speaker, you'll enjoy it much much more.

impressive how agile this bike is! great riding too ;-)
RT’s are deceptively agile . Go ride one soon !!
One of these guys gave me a ticket on “the 163”.

Great riding A+. Ditch the music, it doesn't fit.
+Reto Camenisch It doesn't fit but it is a great tune (I think).
Respect
Great Riding! But music sucks
There is no way in hell a Harley could keep up with them
Why can't the NYPD have the BMW R1200RT-P
Yeah, but can he do wheelies the rest of the cool kids?
I'm not worthy!
Надо тренироваться!
WOW!!!
Skills
👏👏👏👏
What's the song?
I think he might have scraped something
I wonder how west coast boys would match up with Baton Rouge PD motors. BRPD slow ride is in the minutes, not seconds! oh and they do it on Harley Road kings!! Just saying
I wonder how the US guys would measure up to their european collegues. Would make for an interesting competition.

how to get that skill ?
Practice
Any motorcycle wrecking paid for by San Diego County...
Je ne ferai pas mieux en VTT!!!
I hate them SOOOOOO much.. I wish I'm half as good at riding my RT as they are. Maybe if I can borrow someone's without having to worry about damaging it for a couple days I can get as good though LOL
+Justin Kiang Yeah, I have a brand new 2015 model that I can send to you if you'd like to practice. :)
Great video, bloody awful music
Music selection sucks. Nice riding. Looks like a little dirt bike style foundation. Cool
Get rid of music!

Awesome. I'm thinking about buying one. I have owned a lot of bikes but never an RT.
+AZ.LUNATIC_ MMMmmm that is food for thought.
Yeah, why train on tax payers dollars right? Who needs trained motorcycle officers out there anyways.
