We bought our Palisade back in October. We started to go for an Explorer but I happened to see a 2020 Palisade and liked the look better. When I saw the interior, definitely liked it better. The navigation screen doesn't look like a tablet just sitting on the console like the Explorer. We got a lot of extra perks that would cost a fortune with the Explorer. So, after years of being a loyal Ford customer, we have our new Palisade and are extremely happy with it.
I purchased a Palisade yesterday. The dealer mentioned that the Palisade existed in Korea for a couple of years before being sold to the US. That could explain why the first US model didn't have many issues- the initial issues were worked out in Korea.
하느님 감사합니다 I bought my Palisade 2021 in September 2020, I have had ZERO issues with my car. I have as of 7-12-23 54,534 miles on it. I change the motor oil regularly and am just understanding some preventive maintenance on my Transmission, I just recently started to notice a slight sound change in the drive train. It seems that the motor is really starting to open up running smooth however I feel that my transmission can use an oil change out (this is my opinion only) ATF.
@Andrew West is that from experience or just conjecture. Cause our local Hyundai and Kia dealership are owned by the same person as I would imagine most are. Don’t think the owner cares what you buy as long as he has another sale off his inventory. And to my knowledge, at least at our dealership, most who are certified to sell us a Hyundai, I believe, are able to sell us a Kia. and if that’s the case I don’t think the salesmen/woman care either as long as they are getting a commission. So I’m actually curious how you arrived at that purchase scheme and if it worked.
Have an SEL with convenience and premium packages for about a year now and 7,500mi. Real SUV use from going clubbing down town to carrying construction materials. The car is truly versatile and interiors are comfortable. I'm getting 23mpg combined, drive mostly ECO mode but have plenty of power and quick acceleration. There is a learning curve to get the most out of the tech but there are plenty of youtube videos fir that. So far not a single problem.

My wife purchased aftermarket window visors by AutoClover. They’re very beautifully designed specifically for the Palisade in South Korea. You can buy them on Amazon for $60 for the 6 piece set. You won’t find nicer window visors for the Palisade.
I leased a 2021 Limited on Sept 29 2020, love my vehicle, it gets very good mileage for a vehicle of this size with a 3.8 liter motor, getting around 27 to 28 av in summer and around 25 in winter in northern Iowa, and motor has good power and torq. The ride is good and the wind noise that some complain about is not an issue at all with my vehicle it is quiet. By the way this is an AWD not just FWD. The stero with serious XM radio is very good, the lights at night are very good, good enough that when I meet other drivers at night the flash me thinking that I have my lights on bright when I have them on dim, to look at those little lights placed as low as they are you wouldnt think would be so effective but they are. Over all I really like this vehicle and when you consider the price and the warranty they are very hard to beat, the looks and class of ride is nice also.
The auto wiper issue is due to confusing selector sw. Finally figured out when i noticed the selections showed up on dash when making selections . Other quirks are station select on steering wheel. Pressing up makes station go down or next lower freq. And vice-versa.
Love my Palisade! Took 2 months to get it, including a week in Dallas during the freeze of February. They are extremely hard to get in our area as they seem to be extremely popular.
Managed to get a Calligraphy here in Austin. Got lucky with a financing backed out on a rainy Monday afternoon. There are only one or two for sale in all of Texas and 15ish in all of the U.S. with large markups. Its crazy even when many still believe Hyundai to not be a particularly good car. Excited to drive the car everyday. I don't even care for my 911 Turbo anymore.
Did all the research before purchasing the 2021 Hyundai Palisades Caligraphy. The reviews were a little off when they said it was a little slow on the take off. That was absolutely not true. 90% of the time I keep it on Smart drive mode. It's super fast, no hesitation, steering and breaking are great. I am still finding new options that are installed and using them. One of the best vehicles I have owned. Yes I highly recommend it. Ok so one thing I don't like, the engine shuts off when I come to a stop and comes back on immediately when I take my foot oof the brake. Thankfully there is a very easy button on the console/dash, that you can turn that feature off. I understand other manufacturers have the same feature. 'Wireless' Apple Car Play on all models? Is this for real? I can't get ours to work without plugging it in, and was told by our dealer that it was an oversight by Hyundai. We have the SEL with Convenience and Premium package upgrades. Anyone have the answer on this?
For the 2021 model year their website says wireless is standard on SE and SEL. However, I’ve also read that if you have the navigation that it doesn’t work with wireless. Not sure if that’s the case, because the 2021 Santa Fe has wireless with the navigation as well. But maybe it’s different for the Palisade.

This is kinda late sorry but yes it’s a great engine, I have a 22 and no problems at all, I know people with 21, and 22, no problems.
Was told the same. Haven’t really tried to do it wirelessly. I thinking a phone mount with power cord already attached for docking might work
can you replace captains chair with the bench in palisade caligraphy? heard you cant. that would be a dealbreaker.. :( the captains chairs give a Cab kind of vibe to an otherwise great car.
What! The captains chairs is a must for me, cant stand the bench style
@@marked4death076 and i totally understand that.. some people will love it some wont... which is why the option should be there.. to not even have an option is a bit brutal.. i was almost close to confirming this purchase.. this made me stop.. now after looking around i have decided on a different car brand.. kinda silly for hyundai to lose out on sales like this..
@@bardock2525 haha ya i hear ya, shit i wish i had your problem because i would of just taken the SE trim with the bench seat haha but i had to get the captains chairs so moved to the sel. I think the limited you may still be able to get bench seats? Unless you just stuck on the caligraphy? Which i can understand its badass lookin
@@bardock2525 i just had a guy try and sell me an SE at same price as a limited haha after it was advertised at 37k online. I was like man you smokin
@@marked4death076 tried that.. But i really wanted the 2 sunroofs.. For more lighting.. Which isn't there in limited.. Apart from several other small details.. Oh well.. Wasn't to be.. 😊
Sound deadening from Vibrofiltr. Do double layered on 4 doors, hood, and flooring.
How much and where?
It does NOT have wireless CarPlay.
Are you sure that Android auto and apple carplay is Wireless I heard on the calligraphy and The Limited it is still wired
You are correct. I have the wireless on my elantra sel and wired on the Palisade Limited
I have it wireless on my Limited 2020
I have a 2021 SEL with convenience and premium packages and no wireless car play. I heard wireless is only available on the entry level SE for the 2021 model.
@@chickerd4928 Yep I have heard that as well which is the dumbest thing in my opinion. How is it available on the entry-level trim but not the premium trim.
The 8-inch display has wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The 10.25-inch display does NOT support wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, only wired. Not sure why. Frustrating.
If anyone know how to use wireless apple car play please reply? Could not find hot to set it up in a calicraphy version
My dealership told me the 2021 and 2022 limited and calligraphy trim lines don’t support wireless apple car play. Only the lower trim lines. I’m not exactly sure why. Maybe contact your salesperson and make sure?
They should have made an offroad version.
I just purchased a Palisade Limited, last week. It’s a great vehicle and drives extremely well. I’m quite pleased and grateful to Jesus for getting me a deal.
Very handsome looking car....
wind noise would be highly annoying for me, especially considering in NA people dont drive very fast on the hwys. Imagine the noise at 100 mph plus.
my 2021 is very quiet. Hit 80 MPH the other day and one of the quietest cabins on the road I've experienced. Quieter than my partner's 2019 Mercedes GLE 400.
Windnoise is unfortunately an issue in Kia Hyundai models
I have had my Palisade at steady speeds over 70mph for hours at a time and never had any wind or tire noise. (2021 Limited)
My 2021 Palisade is VERY quiet at highway speeds. I hit 80 MPH and quiet as one can expect. I swear its quieter than my partner's 2019 Mercedes GLE 400 at those speeds. Normal city driving you can't hear a peep.
Windshield wipers very bad in cold climates Snow and ice on windshield melt and forms ice on bottom of windshield freezing wipers in a block of ice Can't extend wipers away from windshield to a avoid freezing when parked.
Recall for 2020 models should be the god awful smell coming from the headrests.
I believe they have addressed that and you can get new headrests (N/C) at the dealer.
Did they do anything about the stinky headrests
Yes. 2021 models have no issues. Dealers must fix it too.
They replaced the headrest, but it took 10 months.
Hate my Pallisade and I have from day one. Always little issues creeping up and local service sucks!
What issues?
You most likely got a defective palisade/ a lemon. It happens, I would let your dealer know and trade it in for a new one.
I just got one with 7 miles and it has motor problems 🤬🤬
Did they help you?
They changed the part now it’s not getting oil pressure 🤬
Do you still have the car? how is it? @@blove5269
Hate the wheels
Windshield cracking probably insurance claim
Thousands over MSRP.. no thanks.. a lot of upside down cars later…sorry for them ..
what you need to know...beautiful SUV, you will get a cracked windshield, its got a 17 gallon gas tank and likes to drink oil...
Hyundai Palisade or Range Rover Velar ?
Palisade
Palisade reliable love mine
Buy the Palisade, lease the Velar!
Hi All 🥀
NO wireless android auto or apple car play in the higher trim with the 10 25" info system 👎👎 you pay more and u get the wire Android auto....
My Hyundai Palisade has an atrocious ongoing rotten garlic smell in the cabin even after two treatments from Hyundai. This $48,000 deal stink!
Get them to replace the headrest
Took a test ride today in the Hyundai palisades absolutely hated the seats you talk about uncomfortable these are uncomfortable seats, and if you don't have a PhD in electronics you're never going to figure out the dashboard just my opinion
They fixed that confusing dashboard in the newer models! And the seats are way more comfortable.
Hondai
Just wait till they start exploding. It’s a Hyundai special feature.
HONdai PaaliSIDE.. xD cant get over the pronunciation.. lol
👍🏿
The front end makes no sense whatsoever.
I love it. It's stands out and makes it presence known.
