This show has established itself as one of, if not the premier series in Netflix's collection. A truly invaluable gem, one might say. Brilliant is every way. How remarkably fitting its title: The Crown! Thank you for such a wonderful journey.
This was such a good edit ! I think the reason why I loved Claire Foy’s. Portrayal of the queen is that she shows a vulnerability that Imelda’s portrayal is lacking although I hope this season that’s different !
Well, Claire's QEII was young and inexperienced, not ready to become Queen as soon as she did. Imelda's QEII is a mature and wise queen that may or may not be stuck in old morals and values in a rapidly evolving and modernising world.
I am in agreement with your comments about Claire Foy her performance is phenomenal, and Olivia Coleman captured the essence of Queen Elizabeth The Second imo her performance was outstanding, but Imelda is a great actress in Harry Potter, but she has a face that even when she’s not smiling it looks like she’s smiling. I watched a documentary and it actually too the late Queen Elizabeth said she made a concerted effort to smile because she had a face that if she didn’t smile ppl would think she’s crossed. Olivia had a trick she did to capture that expression 👌🏾 I feel the executive producers knock it out the park with the face two actresses portrayal, but unfortunately not with the last one in season five and six imo !!!!
Foy’s portrayal of the Queen did have a certain level of vulnerability to it in Season 1, but not really in Season 2. by then she had come into her own. Colman’s Queen (another brilliant performance, and IMO the best of the three) was the most stoic. but that makes sense, we even see it in Season 2; over time Elizabeth becomes hardened by time, by experience, by tradition, by duty. it’s a natural progression of her character. and i would actually argue that Staunton’s portrayal is extremely vulnerable. maybe you mean youthful innocence or inexperience or something, because Staunton absolutely brings a certain fragility to the role that comes with age and stress over public opinion of the monarchy and regret over the life she missed, the life she could have lived. it’s very well done. even so, Staunton is playing the Queen in her late 60s-70s. people change from youth to old age; they mature and they often harden. her portrayal should not be similar to Foy’s. The Crown is a show about aging, and all three actresses capture the impact of aging extremely well.
@@sethd6485yes but the thing is I don’t think the real Elizabeth II was as hardened and cold as Staunton is playing her in her older years especially behind closed doors with her family . I think she had a sense of humor and playfulness that isn’t coming across too well in her portrayal that Colman showed glimpses of especially .Over time she loosened up and was a more present mother to Andrew and Edward and I think was quite fun with her grandchildren especially joking with Harry . I hope we see that in the last two parts because it’s the warmth and smile of her majesty that I miss most and would like to see portrayed. Elizabeth II is a complex character with duty / seriousness going on at the same time as the more free and playful person I believe she was and right now Staunton’s portrayal is coming off as more one sided while I think the former two queens did a better job of showing both sides - and it’s the tension of those two different Elizabeth’s that made for good drama - but let’s see I’m hoping it will change in the last two parts
I don't know what goal everyone had for this show but I hope they know they more than exceeded it. Everyone did a fantastic job, every single person, and I hope they stand proud of that.
I think in general was to showcase the reign of queen elizabeth and the system and struggles she managed while queen. As well as shine light to the most times cruel “system”.
I didn't think you could distill the essence of this brilliant 5-season (so far) show into a 9 minute video but whoever put this together did a phenomenal job.
the dynamic between queen & philip and queen & margaret throughout the seasons was so interesting to observe. hope they don't underwhelm us with margaret's death in season 6.
I cannot forget the scene when Claire need to change to that black dress when she landed from her tour. The way the crew shoot it, the editing on it. Is superb. Like when she change she gave up the whole world and her personal identity. You can feel the weight…
This is among the best series I've watched and this recap is beautifully edited. All the actors are excellent in their roles especially Claire as the Queen and Elizabeth as Diana. So good.
The Crown must always win!!! Such a beautiful series from season1 to season 4...All the actors played the characters so well you even forget it's a show. Can't believe it's all coming to an end. Love the edits and transitions as well ❤
Chills. What a ride it's been. And I'm fairly new to this. Caught the whole 5 seasons between March and May, this year. Hit me like a truck. I never believed I'd be sucked in like this
Actually glad it's split into two parts. Get the Diana stuff over with as it just bloated season 5 way too much and the quality noticeably dipped for that direction.
Such a good trailer. I can’t wait to see the reactions of the teens watching this to what happened to Diana; I’m sure most of them don’t know the story of that time and what happened immediately after.
I have watched the crown so many many times i love it ❤️❤️❤️ it truly saddens me it’s going to the series finally 😔😔😔 the cast was amazing and the resemblance each cast portrayed was amazing ❤️😍😍😍
The sixth season is expected to be set between 1997 and 2005 and will depict the premiership of Tony Blair, the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, the wedding of Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones, the deaths of Princess Margaret and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, the early relationship of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.
Absolutely stunning! We all know how the “stories,” play out, but these “players,” have seduced us in to imagining different outcomes. I can sympathize with this family, there is so much, only they know. But, I can see how their royal heritage, is nothing more than a gilded cage, they cannot escape.
The transition between two Diana actresses is stunning
Totally
The transition between Clair Foy and Olivia Coleman is stunning too.
Yeah!
This show is just excellent. This edit is excellent. The actors are excellent. Peter Morgan is excellent. It is simply EXCELLENT.
these three queens are so brilliant, that you always forget it‘s just Netflix
'Just' Netflix, the largest streaming service in the world...
@@harm3825 And the shittiest
Just the first two. The writers failed the last one.
I was expecting Colman’s stomping on her feet and saying ‘YOU WILL NOT SEPARATE OR DIVORCE OR LET THE SIDE DOWN IN ANY WAY’

Imelda’s portrayal is of a woman with hard won confidence in her ability to be the Queen of England! No reason for vulnerability!
this show just proves how massive and how extremely well done a Netflix production could be! freakinnnn amazing and im not ready for it to end yet 😭

The Crown will always have a place in my heart as one of the smartest, brilliantly written pieces of television out there.
Not ready for this.
So common.
I am so ready to see claire as queen elizabeth again!
I didn't think you could distill the essence of this brilliant 5-season (so far) show into a 9 minute video but whoever put this together did a phenomenal job.
BRUH THE TRANSITIONS WERE POWERFUL!!!! Rewatching the show now!!! I must see Claire Foy in action, Best Queen 👸 🙌
I'm so excited to see Elizabeth's take on Diana in this last season even though it is bittersweet
I was quoting most of the lines before she even finished the sentences. I'm sad this show is leaving 😢
Well, it is called "The Crown". So there is room to eventually capture the later life of QEII as well. And in X amount of years perhaps Charles'.
IT'S ART. The crown is art.
the dynamic between queen & philip and queen & margaret throughout the seasons was so interesting to observe. hope they don't underwhelm us with margaret's death in season 6.

One thing is for sure.
Every one of these women are phenomenal actors.
Imagine if the creators & producers of this show created one for the Kennedy's after this.. I'm so excited for this season and devastated its ending 😭
*Time for the final season of one of the greatest shows ever made. Time to cry, to laugh, to live. And to say goodbye. XOXO ;)*
idc what you say but this is the best thing Netflix has ever served
The three queens are just fantastic! But her majesty Claire Foy is my queen!
Margaret Tatcher was the best in the series, what a portrayal!
First two seasons were so good
Actually glad it's split into two parts. Get the Diana stuff over with as it just bloated season 5 way too much and the quality noticeably dipped for that direction.
I must say of everything happened, changed, converted......The Crown still stays. It has won.
This is sooo intense and very enjoyable at the same time; the transitions at 3:11 and 6:27 are so 🔥🔥
Such a good trailer. I can’t wait to see the reactions of the teens watching this to what happened to Diana; I’m sure most of them don’t know the story of that time and what happened immediately after.
Not many teens are watching this show. They are on Tik tok
This recap is outstanding. Wow. From the beginning to the fifth season. It is gonna be more epic when the six season will come
Good scenes and great acting in this movie
I think the acting in this series is phenomenal..........love The Crown
This whole recap is amazing!
This edit was crazyyyy good
I love Olivia and Helena, however, I will never forgive them for not wearing blue contacts LOL
I can never let go of the crown 😢
Farewell to the best series ever made about the greatest woman of the XX century.
❤Claire and Olivia were perfect casting❤love from Finland❤❤❤
i wasn't even a bit into British monarchy's affairs and history before this but I am obsessed. this serie is gold
I'm not ready to say goodbye 😢
My favorite!
the cut at 6:26 is exquisite
Excellent all six series well done everyone involved just binge watched the finale

They should have done one more season at least
Eu meio que acompanho essa série somente aqui pelo UA-cam, um dia quem sabe eu a assista.
Oooh, we’re gonna have a great thanksgiving family marathon watch lol ❤
5:58 Crown as TV series peaked right there. 💯💯🔥🔥☄️☄️☄️☄️
Just marvelous, darling!
I have watched the crown so many many times i love it ❤️❤️❤️ it truly saddens me it’s going to the series finally 😔😔😔 the cast was amazing and the resemblance each cast portrayed was amazing ❤️😍😍😍
Season 5 was underwhelming. I expected more to be honest. Hope season 6 outperforms that.
It was mega disappointing! Hoping S6 is fantastic
FLUMMOXED by the editing! NOT READY FOR THIS TO END 😭
The great playing is wunderfull.
6:25 damn that transition is insane.😶
OMG THE TRANSITION 6:26
8:40 That is the scene where she is dying 😢
to my personal opinion season 5 has been the least fascinating
This movie is legendary, I recommend it
Goosebumps.

I wish the first queen could have played all three stages. She was excellent!
I am going to watch season 6 soon. It's been a beautiful series and I hope it finishes finely.
