@@SilverJoystix Yeah, they don't. They just stupid right?! That's why then just spent 70 billion on Activision, because they don't care. That's why they made the greatest Xbox showcase in years, and maybe is because they hate Xbox so much they just announced 3 new Xbox Series X and S models, including a 2tb model.

Exactly, the only advertising I saw for Hellblade II was 2 youtube ads that looked really boring and that I skipped instantly.
I was utterly shocked when I saw a 15 second Hellblade 2 commercial on TNT during the NBA Playoffs. It was literally the only marketing I ever saw for the game.

You know what blew my mind? I downloaded drawbiard pdf off the Microsoft store thinking it would probably be emulated. Small company, limited resources. But then I went to the task manager and it was arm software. Arm versions are more pervasive than I thought. Loving my surface pro 11.
It’s definitely easier to make ARM versions of software than people realize. You basically just recompile.
It’s strange to me when people say „is it an ARM-based pc or an Intel-based pc or an AMD-based pc?“ That doesn’t really make sense. Intel and AMD Are chip manufacturers. ARM is a CPU architecture. AMD and Intel usually make chips on the x86-64 (aka x64) architecture, but they are soon releasing ARM chips.
Love your show, small correction: there's no way a main line Bethesda expansion is $7. Previous ones have been $20-25. The $7 figure was for a trackers alliance paid mod for a quest-weapon-armor that made a little community drama.

I use an Xbox Series X for gaming because just like a Mac it is an optimization king most of the time, if Xbox got Windows 11 support, and it was implemented in an Apple way, it would be the best gaming PC out there.
Got 13" Surface lappy with Elite and 16GB. It's mostly for web, email and some code tinkering (which is the day job).
It's fast, responsive and the AI tricks are neat but maybe not fully baked yet - as expected, really.
It installed full VS and VS Code and they run flawlessly as expected (VS has an ARM64 version).
MakeMKV worked flawlessly too, which I was not expecting. Handbrake's Arm64 build encoded a 1080p clip to AV1 at 40fps. That's amazing, and a fair chunk faster than the wife's M3 macbook.
The things I find surprising are that stuff like PyTorch has no way to access that NPU and obviously there's no CUDA on board, so that's kind of disappointing (although not Qualcomm's fault).
For $1400 it's well worth it.
The Nvidia story didn't last long! Was it 24 or 48 hours before their share price went down?

I always notice dlc was extra on gamepass and that’s fine I don’t even know if I want to play the game let alone get the dlc before game pass most of the time
Marketing at Xbox is the worst part of Xbox with all the money that Microsoft is worth Xbox should be number one in marketing everyone should know what what gamepass is

I’m not sure what average user is paying $1500 for a laptop. Even Apple dropped prices after the M series laptops came out.
I really don’t think most aaa games should be in gamepass right away make it 2-6 months like when the games go on sale because honestly some of those games need those sales not all
There was an article put out the other day, recommending snap is for productivity & not gaming, for now. Shame about the debacle over Recall. Could really see the benefits for content creators/podcasters, would be really easy to recall “stuff” previously said in a video or created with ease. Similar for game devs trying to locate model information easier.
Xbox finally finding its stride, they started in 2918 (see Booty interview). Personally, I still want to see better UI on console with more user customisation. GP for console beds repackaging, as console version has no online but the cheaper Core does. Which will affect CoD to GP, for console users as they’ll need Ultimate. Devalues Console GP. Nature of the beast sure, a Premium Console version for console only gamers adds value to console. Still waiting for Elite3 & ABK to the service.

My understanding is that MT engine games aren't on PS5, either.
But the PS4 does. And the PS5 does play 99% of the PS4 games.
If there were 5 companies that were right behind nvidia as far as hardware this would be better than nvidia being number 1 its always a problem when one company has it all
3:00 - So these things are only good as mulimedia devices? Because if I wanted to do actual work, I'd pick a Ryzen 9 9950x over this. If I needed something powerful AND mobile, these ARM chips would have to perform at least as well as an x86 device when running native software to it and at least at 70% of x86 performance when emulating.
However, I see this hardware less being used for productivity, and more as a media consumption device, at which point, how would this be better than an iPad or Android powered tablet?
Microsoft literally force people to use their AI,and they look at the numbers and be like, yeah we are doing good! if Ai was somewhere that users needed to search for like chat gpt the numbers wouldn't increase that much! I hope their change the leadership to someone that don't such investors pee pee as much as the previous guy! I really miss the days when Microsoft did something that got me excited!
I have a decent amount of nvidia from 2016. I sold half and nvidia split and I got it back 😂
Xbox has needed better marketing for a while now, lately i've seen more, mostly Doom the dark age, hopefully they keep going with other games.
I still use some Microsoft services and apps, but I’ve completed my transfer to everything iPhone I watch iMac iPad.
I still play mostly on my Xbox. Am I Meta Quest three .
And I still use Edge and Bing. The collections make it better than Safari for me personally.
Great. Brad talks about basic productivity users. They should be using a Mac, while gamers shouldn’t buy an ARM PC for a while.

I'm not calling jez a liar but that excuse doesn't make sense. All those games were on 360 and work through backcompat. This is basically the same games that already worked but in a collection. So why can't they just release as is and use back compat?

So far have skipped getting a Xbox Series and have been playing entirely on PC. Not sure I want to go back to console gaming and lose the full control of video settings.
As a Series X and PS5 (for exclusives anyway) user, If you have an easier, and more importantly, fun time on PC, you should stick to it. There is alot of benefits to PC that I wish Xbox, and even Playstation, would get some day.

Now that Xbox owns Blizzard, do you think WoW will ever hit console? If it's possible, it would be a good game to see on Gamepass, especially if it doesn't go to other consoles. Is that possible or even worth it. The question is to BS, but I'd be interested in anyone's opinion. Thanks!
Prior to FF14 coming to XBOX I would have been fairly confident it would come to console. I think they may have worked a deal with Square to not bring it in exchange for FF14. The timing seems to line up. MS still has ESO for the MMO market.

I’m at the point where you are talking about MT Framework. Issue is the engine only supported Xbox one and PlayStation 4. Capcom has stopped updating the engine, as they have moved to the RE engine.
Xbox keeping the same OS between consoles and updating the XDX has caused MTF to no longer support current dev tools for Xbox. It doesn’t support Xbox or PlayStation 5. That’s why PS4 got the title.
Last title we got on Xbox was in 2022, nothing since.
